They "highly" recommend mask and while inside is mandatory but they dont use them while serving and making your food? They are the ones Indoors while we The patrons are outside.. Some a$$ backwards rules but hey, it's westchester read more

Incredible place to spend a Sunday afternoon with your friends and family. You can rent skates and free skate for a few hours. In the middle people practice more advanced ice skating. Many children are learning and have the small dinosaurs to practice on. We are definitely not advanced but had an amazing time skating with the other couples and family. There is also a great snack bar to much on pizza when you want to take a break. This facility is currently closed during the pandemic but will hopefully reopen soon! We love this place and would love to support it in any way. It's fantastic. read more

I worked at a major ice rink for 10 seasons and we had basic rules to ensure the safety of the patrons who skated there. We were always strict about enforcing these policies because safety in an inherently dangerous activity was top priory, as it should be. Anyone jeopardizing he safety of other skaters was giving a warning and the next step was to remove them from the rink. At Murray's it is s free for all. Multiple time I've taken my family and there is almost always a group of reckless skaters. I've had my skate clipped and so has one of my kids. People skate against the flow of traffic and skate faster than they are capable of keeping precise control. I've spoken to the skate guards as well as Managment but they do absolutely nothing about it. I have read many reviews complaining of the same type of thing, it seems to me that's the skate guards must know these pricks and therefore don't do anything about it. The guards are usually just congregating and passing the time chatting in groups during their shifts and can care less about enduring the safety of everyone else. It's not right that me and my family's experience almost always ends up being a stressful and aggravating one. We spend money and then can't enjoy ourselves constantly looking over our shoulder for one of the idiots to come within inches of us flying by (usually in a sloppy poorly controlled skating ability). These people need someone to get severely inured and a major lawsuit due to the rinks negligence in allowing this kind of dangerous condition ( especially after it has been brought to their attention many time). The rink itself could be nice if the rink staff didn't allow s handful of people ruin it for the rule following patrons. People are also on their phones or taking picture and skating against the direction they are supposed to, it is so blatantly disregarded it's absolutely insane to me. Some of the management staff also have crappy attitudes when I've brought this matter to their attention. They could act on it immediately for what be a safety oriented responsibility should be, but instead they say they will bring it up to blah blah blah. How about get out there an witness it with your own two eyes and then give these losers the boot to teach them s lesson. It's just pathetic and sad that people like me have to end up leaving pissed off after wasting money on a shifty experience ( that is completely fixable!). read more

A place I had been going to as a teenager, and for years as an adult. My daughters took lessons there and my youngest was even in A show. My experience over the years with rude nasty staff and customers as well has just turned me off to the culture of the rink. There's some gentlemen staff that have been there for a long time that remain kind and cordial. Unfortunately there are sour apples who just can't seem to grasp the importance of long time customers / Yonkers residents back to the rink for family fun! If your looking to get your dollars worth of ice skating, try Bryant park or Rockefeller center in NYC. Murreys just isnt what it used to be with it's uncivilized staff members, lack of organization not to mention higher prices! very dissatisfied as a Yonkers resident to watch this place have gone down the tubes over the years. read more

I skated at Murray's since I was a little kid (in the 1970s) and it has always been one of the best rinks in Westchester - unpretentious atmosphere, great ice, reasonable price. I skated there with my family, played hockey and over the years introduce my children to ice skating there. HOWEVER, this year they have SIGNIFICANTLY cut back on the number of public skating sessions on weekends. There used to be 4, now there are only 2 and one is less than 2 hours! This is a PUBLIC rink! Supported with taxpayer dollars for decades. Cutting back on public skating (obviously so hockey and figure skating clubs can take the ice) means fewer skating opportunities for regular folk and more crowded ice. This is a huge shame for Yonkers and should not be accepted. read more

Today my family and a couple of friends enjoyed a wonderful day at the Murray Memorial Skating Center. I'd say that the vibe of this place is warm while intimate. The people skating were really nice and the staff was extremely warm. I always appreciate great service. The price is very affordable, and the food served is definitely unique. My son enjoyed a Belgian waffle with marshmallows and fruity pebbles. My children had a blast. The only thing I'd say would help improve the experience is, something to encourage and support new skaters. I didn't like that my niece sat out the entire time because of fear. The support of a container or some support skating would have been lovely. read more

Great Place for Family & Dates : )--DRESS WARM, BRING GLOVES BRING GLOVES, DO NOT WEAR JEANS! (Sweats), DRESS WARM I am the romantic type of person and whenever I see a potential for a nice romantic date I write about it!! I recently came here with my girlfriends family and her of course, there's a schedule for this place when you can skate and when you can't so whenever you get a chance call and make sure you find out the times! Once you do that, make sure you bring CASH! I believe it was $7.00 to rent the skates, $4.00 to skate on the ice and I know I'm missing something but the Prices are really economic which is great! Please dress warm, this way if you're not skating you won't freeze your butt, bring a blanket! Just pretend you're going Skiing and you'll be fine! Other than that everything else is GREAT! DEERS!! By the way if you go there at night you'll see that facing the highway there's a fence if you look over it, you will always see a family (I'm pretty sure there's another name) deer, last time I saw like 20 of them and they just ran into the woods! Which was amazing I felt like I was watching the national geographic channel lol (I love nature) Anyways if you do come here, you'll have a great time. FOOD COURT--looks great, the only thing I can remember was Cheese Fries $4.00 I was going to get something but I'm watching my figure lol (next time) read more

What a nice place to skate in the winter! It has an old-timey atmosphere and was a great place to bring children. It was full without being overcrowded. I particularly like the older gentleman at the rental desk. Even though my grandson returned his skates 4 times! (he's fussy and has wide feet) he was pleasant and accommodating. I particularly like that you can leave your purse at the rental room for safekeeping. The music was also good. The price is comparable to other rinks. I've been here several times and always have a good time. read more

Not great. When we did go they were having issues with the zamboni and they reduced the price $1 (should have been more the ice was in bad shape), but we went anyway- we have our own skates so I don't know about the rentals. The weird thing is they would not let us take a break in the boxes on the side of the rink where the hockey players usually go- only on the metal cold bleachers. Parents were also crowding the only entrance and exit taking pictures of their kids, which would have helped if we could take breaks in the boxes. I don't think we will be back again, we will check out Ebersole in White Plains. read more

I'm such a fan of this place! I used to come here almost every weekend when I was a kid but I stopped going around high school. I drive past this place on the highway so often and this past weekend I decided to come back for a visit with my little nephew. In all honesty, I was a little bit surprised to see that not only is it still open, it looks almost exactly the same as I remember it 10+ years ago. I even remember some of the staff! The price to get in is $7 and skate rentals are $4. The rink itself is spacious and well-maintained, and the skates I rented were in excellent shape. There's also a good snack bar & plenty of vending machines to get some much-needed fuel. It also looks like they've added an outdoor skate park for bladers & skateboarders. All in all, this is a great local community spot & Yonkers landmark for the young & young-at-heart. I hope to see it around for many years to come! read more

By far the worst experience I've ever had at a rink. The old man who claimed to be the owner was so rude. I asked him for a different pair of skates because the ones i had were uncomfortable and before I finished my sentence he said he doesn't want to hear my story because he has enough problems of his own. I said he should be nicer as an employee and he responded saying he was the owner and how he doesn't care about my issues and a whole bunch of other nonsense. I asked for my money back and he said that I'd never get my money back and advised me to leave because my parents didn't use protection when they had me and I was a waste to the earth. It was disgusting and cruel. As a customer service representative I treat all clients with professionalism and respect and I was shocked at his treatment. I'm so disappointed because I live right by this rink and never being able to come back is so inconvenient all because some old man was having a bad day. read more

I love this place! I go every Friday Night for ice skating with my friends and am going to start roller blading wi them next week when it starts! The rink guards are great and service is always good to! My teacher works there in the office so she got my church to have a "field trip" to the rink and it was so fun and everyone loved it! Also, the hot chocolate is delicious!my friends and I always get it while he Zamboni is on. read more
