It really does not taste anything like an "old fashioned" but it's very good and my usual go-to. Ambiance is cool. Has a very Edgar Alan Poe vibe mixed with an alchemist/speakeasy. They have a small patio as well. Service: top-notch mixologists/alchemists.

We had two very different tastes (vodka and tequila) and she nailed both drinks perfectly. The bar felt clean, welcoming and comfortable even with its edgy vibe. I also loved the tarot cards they provide! I think they may have been intended as coasters (lol) but I kept mine as a souvenir and now use it as my bookmark. It's become one of my favorite little keepsakes. Location and parking: it's on a main strip right on the corner with a small parking lot but there's also accessible street parking in the neighborhood. I highly recommend it and will definitely return anytime I'm in Reno

He was friendly, willing to engage us in conversation, allowed us to ask questions without making us feel bad, and, quite frankly, made the visit very special. What did he do that was special? First, he made a great cocktail, and not everyone does that well. Second, he allowed us to taste some of their inventory prior to making a purchase of a pour from some of these very rare bottles. Third, he provided the same customer service for everyone in the bar, not just my wife and I. It was a very casual Friday afternoon, and there were maybe four other people in the bar besides my wife and I, and so there was not a need to hurry for anyone. Very comfortable and casual environment. Will we be back, yes, especially if we get lucky and get a good parking spot.

It's that perfect golden brown shatter that stays crisp until the very last bite. Great service, cozy vibes, and a dish that never misses. We'll be back!!

The patio is beautiful and small. The inside is absolutely adorable with brick walls and a romantic vibe. Gorgeous bar area. Small, intimate. I loved the feel of the place. My latest visit with the Mrs I was excited to find Jai Alai from Cigar Brewing in FL, quite a find in Reno! My wife always enjoys their selection of sours, also a rare find in Reno since most bars don't have Sours on draft. The patio is always nice to enjoy although it was a little cold and windy so we enjoyed the indoor seating with a nice view. They also have some TVs around to enjoy the World Series or any other games based on the timing. I will also mention there is a happy hour although I didn't see it mentioned anywhere but when we came in around 5:30 on a Monday we received a dollar off each draft, nice bonus!

Amazing food and great prices!…read more I have seen this place pop up on my Yelp account many times as I've been searching for places to try. I brought it up to my sister and she also said she had been wanting to go especially since she was told they have gluten free options so we decided to pop in for lunch. We went on a Sunday around 2:45 and it wasn't super busy so we were able to get a table right away. We were immediately brought water and menus. There was the regular menu, happy hour and brunch. Brunch is served on Saturday and Sunday until 3. We both tried the blackberry mule mocktail which was good but tasted quite heavy on the ginger beer. I couldn't decide between the breakfast pizza and poutine fries so I got both. The poutine fries were on the happy hour menu during that time. The breakfast pizza was quite large and fennels meant for at least two people but it was nice and hot and cheesy and I loved the addition of the egg but wish it came with more than one. It also needed a sauce of some kind, ranch or salsa or even hot honey. The poutine fries were delicious! I got it with mushroom gravy and haven't been able to stop thinking about them. I was unable to try the stuffed avocado and Baja bowl that my sisters ordered due to my avocado allergy but she really enjoyed it. The service was prompt and our waitress was really nice. The inside was so cute and you do have the option to sit outside. Can't wait to back and bring my husband, the menu has so much I want to try!

It was due to the seasoning. However, it was packed with a variety of flavors. It wasn't dry and loose, which is what I have encountered at a few other places. All in all, there was so much in it that it was difficult to evaluate what I was eating, which is a good thing. It means I'll have it again :). It functioned as a whole rather than as separated ingredients to give a complex flavor profile, which I appreciated. The fries were seasoned beautifully. Very savory. I enjoyed them. Cooked wonderfully as well. The tortilla chips in the nachos.. I don't know if they were made there or not, but they gave the impression of being store-bought. The quality was not great. The nachos themselves... plenty of ingredients that you can mix together, but the ingredients weren't like a complete package. They were like a pile of separate things. I expect a well-balanced mixture of ingredients. The layer of queso was below while the avocado was clumped up at the top. The ingredients separately were quite bland. I wouldn't have this again. The brownie was better than a flourless chocolate torte and quite large. I enjoyed it, though I would say that it's not as good as a more standard brownie. I wouldn't have this again.
