I LOVE Playa Bowls! This location, being a short walk from the beach, is amazing. Their smoothies are fun and refreshing (I've tried them all) and perfect for an Atlantic Avenue stroll. My favorite treat here is the classic acai bowl. You can customize to your liking and it's always delicious. They have multiple types of bowls, too, including mango, coconut, banana, and pitaya. There's something for everyone! Also, I adore the monthly stickers and my water bottle is full of them. read more

We need at least 3 locations of Playa Bowl, I referring to the one in Delray Beach, it's a quaint beach vibe place with a very extensive açaí bowl menu, the people behind the counter are very knowledgeable and helpful explaining the difference between the various types of playa bowls, read more

So good! I love a place where you can pick your base and here, your bowl can be acai, coconut, kale, papaya, and so much more, with all the fruit and granola toppings you can imagine. I was so satisfied with my Nuteloco- coconut with Nutella. So delightful. My daughter and husband went with acai, and they loved theirs. It was not inexpensive, but in alignment with Delray Beach pricing. Get ready to splurge, but it is worth it. Clean spot with good service. Pressed juices and energy drinks in the grab and go, with a limited selection of iced coffees. Great spot, especially in the Florida heat. read more

Terrible experience. I came here with my boyfriend and his friends, and he clearly told the staff that he is allergic to bananas and requested no banana in his smoothie. Despite this, the employee prepared the smoothie with banana while we all watched. When we asked again to confirm there was no banana, she said there wasn't even though she had just added it. We had to throw the smoothie away without even being able to drink it. As we were leaving, she then mentioned that bananas are regularly used in the blender, meaning there could be cross-contamination. This should have been communicated before paying and preparing the drink, especially given a stated allergy. This situation could have been very dangerous. There was a clear lack of attention and awareness regarding food allergies. Staff should be properly trained to handle allergy-related requests. I would rather go out of my way to another location than return here. read more

Loved the options and variety of bowls. The preparation of my açaí bowl was quick and neat. Nice small space to wait and enjoy your bowls. However, the server must have been in a bad mood or having a bad. Her attitude was almost enough to make me leave. That's the only reason this established won't get 5 stars this time. read more

Had to stop by twice because the smoothies were delicious. Stopped in on my way in from the beach and asked one of the employees what they recommended and they said the Kowabunga smoothie with banana protein. It was delicious! They got my order out quickly and it was so good that I came back later to try another smoothie. I then tried the Matcha and also purchased two of their juices. When i stopped by the second time they were busier but still got my order out in a timely manner. Loved having healthy options to choose from and a variety of selections to jump start my health journey. The shop was small but cute and had photo worthy walls as well as outdoor seating. Whenever I stop back in Delray I'll make sure to head in. Only wish I knew the shop was there on my first day and not my last. read more

I have heard of Playa bowls many times, but never knew where one was or had the opportunity to go. Today, while walking in downtown Delray, my friend and I stopped upon one and decided to go in, and I am so glad we did! They had such an extensive menu! It wasn't just acai bowls, you could get mango, coconut, Pitaya and more! Can't make up your mind? Do what I did and have a half and half bowl. I had half coconut and half acai. I chose the tropical. I don't know what I was expecting, but this blew it out of the water! It was so fresh, and so tasty! The fruit was beautiful and sweet. It was absolutely perfect for the hot day today, and I will definitely be back. If you haven't been here yet, definitely go check out Playa Bowls! read more

The Atlantic avenue location is head and shoulders above the others. The playa bowls are never icy and are packed with extras, some other locations are very skimpy or the açaí consistency is not right. My wife and I are regulars and they always know our order as soon as we walk in. Love this place. read more

This is a nice stop right by the beach. The menu inside is busy/difficult to read, but the website is clearer. Also helpful to look up the nutrition info - these bowls are not necessarily "healthy" although they are tasty! The prices are varied for what you get. The oatmeal bowls are smaller than the fruit-based bowls, and $10 for a bowl of plain oatmeal with honey and banana is definitely over-priced. For the acai or chia bowls with 4+ toppings, the price is more reasonable. The coconut base is sort of like a frozen sorbet and melted pretty quickly so would not recommend getting in the Florida heat. The 16oz iced coffee ($3.50, about a grande size) is chicory based which is more bitter than most iced coffees but still refreshing. Adding a pump of flavor to the iced coffee is nearly double the price ($5.50). They let you half-and-half the different flavor bases and add or remove toppings to customize bowls which is great. FYI - the prep station is all in one location and gets messy so definitely not cross-contamination-friendly for those with allergies. read more

Absolutely love this place! Ava was so sweet and the bowls there were so good and everything was very fresh. This is a great location!

Such a cute place to come, acai bowls are always so refreshing. I really enjoyed my bowl that I got; however, it was really expensive. I only got one bowl and ended up spending about $15. My friend got a bowl and a coffee and ended up spending about $20 something. The fruit on the bowl was fresh and the base of the bowl was freshly blended on-site which was really nice! The service was nice and quick. Would come again :) read more

Playa bowls will always be my favorite acai shop! A lot of different flavors to choose from with the acai and coconut being my favorites. The only thing i dislike is the teenagers working here, no attention to detail and 0 customer experience skills. It almost feels as if they are forced to work. Id like to feel more welcomed. But overall great bowls! read more

Playa bowls is amazing! I cannot get over how much I love all of the bowl options. You can choose from Açaí, pitaya, coconut, green, banana, chia pudding, and oatmeal as a base! So many options but I always go for the coconut bowl. If you are there during fall, make sure to order the Pumpkin Pie smoothie! It's so good! I would also recommend grabbing some of the power balls, they are vegan!! The interior is decorated so cute and the staff are really friendly! Playabowls will forever be my favorite Acai shop. I come here every Friday morning as my early morning routine. Ive tried a variety of bowls. My favorite bowls would be the Tropical Acai and the Tide banana bowl. I absolutely LOVE trying the seasonal bowls. They just switched their fall seasonal bowls to Winter theme and last week I tried their North Pole bowl . When I say its the BEST bowl ive ever had here I am not exaggerating. It tops my two favorite by far. Its as if its a Christmas party in your mouth if Christmas had a flavor. I always enjoyed that it tasted like youre having dessert for breakfast. Highly recommend. I cant wait to go back Friday to get the Avalanche bowl! Another winter special ! read more

Playa Bowls is a pretty decent place to grab smoothies, & health related beverages. Would not be my go to however, I think the drinks have way too much sugar in them for them to be considered "healthy". I got a blue lemonade which had blue spirulina, agave, & lemon in it ... it was wayyyyy too sugary, don't get me wrong, it tastes amazing but there's no need for all of that added sugar if you already have agave in there as the sweetener. Other than that Playa Bowls is decent. read more

Cool little spot to stop by on a hot Florida day, especially since it's so close to the beach. The shop is filled with kids on summer vacation working their summer jobs so the environment is super unorganized. I'm definitely going to try them again maybe later in the season because I like the concept and noticed some kids were better with the customers than others. We waited for 20 minutes for the bowls but decided to just get a refund and take some juices and eat somewhere else. read more

A great experience here. Super cool vibe. Close to the Delray Beach front. Everyone is very friendly here. Love how it was decorated for St Patrick's day! All the employees were wearing green shirts plus more! The smoothie (banana/strawerry) was delicious an ordered a special bowl for St. Patrick's Day with nutella, fruit and more! It was totally delicious! (yes, it was a green base)! I can see why it is everyone's favorite go to place. They are also dog friendly so you can bring your pup in for a taste! It is super healthy full of vitamins, nutrients and antioxidants - beats the alternative of pizza! I'll be back- you can also order on the app (make sure you sign up with your cell to get discounts sent to you)! read more

Playa Bowls is spectacularly good. It's like an explosion of fruit flavor in your mouth. Perfect fruit with no blemishes. I had the Pura Vida and had them add bananas to the beautiful strawberries and blueberries on top of a luscious perfectly sweet sauce with granola and honey. The sauce was delicious--ice cold almost frozen. The sauce was just right--not too sweet, not too sour!! Playa Bowls gets my highest recommendation! Alyssa, who was in charge was friendly and very efficient. She was incredibly helpful. I really enjoyed myself and I am not usually a bowl lover. read more

My family and I were in town for a week and ate here no less than three times. It runs a little pricy ($30-$40) for three items but I wouldnt say it was too expensive (certainly not enough to disincentive me from coming). The fruit was fresh, the bowls were aesthetically pleasing which is a bonus and you felt good after you ate it all. My kids loved it too. We got them the Neutella oatmeal and they crushed it. I also got the cold brew one morning which was excellent and often times, cold brew can be garbage at a place thats not a coffee shop. In all, a good spot to grab a quick, refreshing lunch or snack. read more

I went to Playa Bowls the first time two days ago and got an amazing pitaya bowl. However, after a day at Delray Beach, I decided I would go again and get a drink. I got the Green Room, but for some reason it came out this pink color. When I asked why it was not green, they told me it was "followed by beets" and did not understand my confusion.
