This is an indoor playground. It's great!! Kids love it. They have private room for parties. Did my son's birthday party here. They have different deals for party and the charge includes pizza. You'll never see the kids cuz they are just busy playing and running around. This is a great place to take your kids when it's raining and keeping them out of electronics.

You should have your kids birthday party here! I've already left a review about this play place. But I just had my daughter's 5th birthday party here so I wanted to add to my review. The grand room is really big, and it was already set up for us. I had my own banner so the staff traded it with the one they had hanging. They offered to help bring items in, were able to set up the baseball game on the tv for us, helped serve the pizza and cake and then did the clean up. We had an amazing time and I really appreciated everything they did. Thank you Kevin and Izzy (hope I remembered the names right.)

2 one year olds and a 3 year old and we feel comfortable letting them explore on their own here

I love bringing my babies here, it's a perfect environment for them to explore and you can see the whole facility pretty much no matter where you are standing/ sitting, which makes it enjoyable because you're not having to run around chasing them the whole time lol you can just enjoy. They keep it really clean also, I've never had an ick feeling and I've even climbed to the top and went down the slides myself as an adult lol The front desk girlies are sooo sweet and have such good energy. Perfect people to have working for a company like this. 5 star experience every time!

Yes to burning toddler energy! We usually visit another East Bay play center but it's further than we would like. Found Playground on a whim and am so happy I did. It's closer to home, a decent size to have visibility on your kid, and has great service! We were warmly greeted by the Owner who was already giving me a tour while my son got ahead to start at playtime. There's so much to offer outside the usual play structure too. There are birthday packages, kids camp, movie nights, and fundraising events. I love that you can give your kid free play as you chill on the sideline. Sometimes Mama need to sit out. Other pros: (+) snacks and drinks available to purchased (+) doors are equipped with alarm (+) easy parking

I love taking my kids here. It's a good size and not crowded as other indoor play gyms. The owner and staff are friendly and very accommodating. I recently rented the large party room for my son's birthday. It was a success and the kids had a great time! I was allowed to set up the night before and the staff helped set up and clean up. Price was reasonable.

"Small party room" = back area next to the bathroom, staff room, and emergency exit

We booked a birthday party here for our twins 7th birthday on a Saturday afternoon. We were quoted at $650 + tax + mandatory gratuity of 18% for their "small party room". The following narrative describes why we are leaving a low rating for this experience. When we reserved the party by email and phone, we were accidentally charged the full fee of almost $850, which took 3 phone calls to resolve and correct to the quoted $150 deposit. We were also extremely disappointed with the space when we arrived for the party. I'm uploading photos with this review of the space we were directed to when we arrived. It was not a room, but a hallway/storage area in the far back of the building leading to the emergency exit, bathroom, and staff break room painted in solid white with brown pipes and brown rails from the ramp going to the rear parking. There was no door/separation from the rest of the space. We felt very taken advantage of and complained to the manager after having paid $850 for what we thought was an actual party room (we had been there previously for another party, but seemed to be double booked during our party). We asked the manager what could be done to remedy the situation. She offered to discount the total for a misunderstanding on what a "small party room" is (after printing out and highlighting this text in our email chain) and then offered to move us to the area under the piñata, which was loud and busy but worked out much better for our needs. I'm adding back a star because our kids had a blast playing on the playground and really enjoyed the party, despite the very uncomfortable situation for all the parents. When I finally went to pay the bill, the manager said there would be no discount and continued to argue about the meaning of a "small party room" (which again, should be referred to as an "area" or "hallway" for future parties). We finally received a 10% refund by cash, since the computer system wasn't working. In summary, I leave you with my final word of caution: if you're booking a space here for a party, make sure you go in and physically see the space before you fall victim to the same (very expensive) scam.

Perfect place for a birthday party. Price is affordable, place is clean and the staff are very accommodating and friendly. The kids esp my son had an amazing time playing with his friends on his birthday.

Castro valley indoor playground Upside : Fun structures for kids Everyone is masked Kids have fun Smaller Separate area for the toddlers Good Seating avail for parents Clean considering all the volume of kids Four individual restrooms easily accessible and available Downside : Very limited street parking / no parking lot No wifi avail for parents some of the games have lights and things that are broken :( I'm disappointed and sharing this so others don't have the same experience I have had .... I was signed up by the owner ( Miriam) she was super friendly, sweet and nice to me/ kids BUT she didn't explain the membership very well ... Membership wording is VERY misleading - The "annual" membership is NOT unlimited The first line of their membership says it's is $225 per year and that the 25 passes were referred to as " Buddy Passes " I wrongly thought that the $225 membership was for one child AND would also receive QTY 25 " buddy passes" for their sibling or friends to join them when they play) I knew the 25 buddy passes would expire in the 12 months that I purchased it. BUT basically the membership is NOT an " annual membership" it is merely pre purchasing 25 " play times " up front. I don't know WHY they would call it a membership, if its not reeeeallly a membership I strongly encourage the management to Rephrase their membership info online and how they explain it. I wish I would have known this before hand as I would not have purchased the " membership"

This is a Community spot where kids, parents and families can come and have a good time. The kids playing sure had all the energy in them to run around play then to go home and I bet sleep well. Kids will climb, swing, slide and more. Friday is movie night. There are other enrichment activities too then go play before or after. There's a party room where you can have a private birthday party which is quite large then there's a Mad Hatter Tea Party like room that's whimsical and great to take photos. The bathrooms are clean! and there's changing stations in them. And they're big enough that you won't bang your head if you have to go in with your kid and I think your stroller would fit too. Everybody there is nice and parents can chat with each other or just grab some time time relax. And I do mean relax as in the back there are massage chairs. It really i s a sanctuary to gain some sanity for kids to play and you can catch your breath to sit for a while. It is in a very central location of downtown Castro Valley. So if you want to drop your kiddos off for an enrichment class/session or Friday movie night, you can and do some things for yourself then come back. And The Playground helps fundraise for their community members as there was a Black History Month fundraiser for the elementary schools and more for the schools. Then they support the other learning centers too for their kiddos to have field trips. So this is a community spot!

First off, I am ecstatic to find out about this place! Very close to home. I usually drive at least 30 minutes to get to a nearby indoor park in Hayward. Having this in a ten minute or less drive is, hallelujah, a gem! PLACE: The place is in a smaller side (in comparison to other indoor parks we've been to) but is perfect for those who prefer to constantly see your dynamic littles from merely sitting in one spot (like moi). There are plenty of long cushioned chairs for sitting. The play structure is two layer, with a small area for toddlers and the big area for 4 years to 12 years old. There are three slides - two dual slides and a tube slide. The second layer has a lot of wiggle room for kids to jump, bounce, hang out, etc. There are five bathrooms. There is a big room for parties and another back room with a whimsical Alice in Wonderland setup. So much thought was given in the latter. Small details are cute. CLEANLINESS: Very clean - they are basically new. They require masks (for now). STAFF: Staff is very attentive to parents and kids. They read the rules before starting to play. The owner is very friendly and pleasant and toured me and the other parent around the facility. The other staff is watching the littles closely, ensuring their safety. Very impressive. PROGRAMS: They offer movie nights every Friday for 3 hours. It is a drop off event. They also have an after school program I think. PARKING: Street parking. MISCELLANEOUS: The classic riddles on the wall are such a nice touch. FOOD: They sell beverages.

Please don't come for my Millennial self ) The building is tucked behind the entrance of Hong Kong BBQ on Redwood Road, near where Southern Comfort is on Castro Valley Blvd. From the outside, it looks pretty run-down and sketchy. There's also no elevator, so you'll need to carry your little one up a flight of stairs. Keep this in mind if you're planning a party, especially if anyone in your group has ADA concerns. Entrance is $16 per child for a maximum of 2 hours, and honestly, two hours is more than enough. The space itself is small but perfect for little kids. It feels like they're exploring their own tiny town with all the pretend-play stations: an ice cream truck, spaceship, chef's kitchen, grocery store, laundromat, pet store/groomer, and pizza parlor. They do have a small reading area, but there are little to no books. The play area is padded, which is great for crawling children. I wasn't totally sure how often things are sanitized. There's a basket for toys that need extra cleaning, which made me wonder how frequently everything is actually wiped down if we're asked to set items aside ourselves. Party space is limited to the entrance/hardwood area. I was told the max is 20 adults and about 15 children, but I honestly can't imagine everyone fitting comfortably in that small space. Overall, it's a great spot for my kid to run around and get her wiggles out. She really enjoyed it and that's what matters most.

I came here after walking by it on the way to the bathroom…read more Space had few kids and parents so it looked spacious. Plenty of random things to climb on and slide down from. The play structure is like an obstacle course. Several jumpers up against a wall. My kiddo enjoyed the play structure and climbing all the different areas. On my first visit staff did their job and we got in and out in a breeze. The second visit I was told only one parent could come in. Which was a bit confusing as the first visit both of us were allowed in and every family in there had both parents. Their signage says 2 adults free admission with paid child admission. So it didn't make sense to me. It was busier than the last time I visited so if capacity was the case they should advertise that on their signage. It's misleading. The second visit I just stood outside for the hour playtime watching my kid play. Staff is all up at the front handling customers and putting on wrist bands for the child and parents for when their time is up. They have special grip socks you have to wear inside which you need to purchase and repurchase if you don't bring them the second time. Staff doesn't walk around to check the space out or monitor the area. Everyone's just chilling up in the front. Parents aren't allowed inside any of the play structures so if your kiddo can't guide themselves this is not the place for them. Best for kids age 3-5. It's too small for older kids to enjoy. I'm pretty disappointed in this past visit but in the future I know even if it's not on display only ONE parent can go.

Great addition to downtown Hayward. Perfect for kids - it a smaller version of chuck e cheese…read more I love this place and want it to succeed. Hayward is an underdog city - and this is such a unique space. If I was the mayor of Hayward I would shine a light on this place as I think its an important piece of the city. I live just 2 blocks away and have never gotten any note on my front door or advertisement or coupon. I think that is a shame. If I was head of marketing for this business I would place a flyer under every door mat in a 5 or 10 block radius. This is a missed opportunity for core customers. There are new high rise buildings also popping up - a huge senior building - why not a special flyer offering seniors discounts if they show up for an early bird dinner? Often times you can also tell if kids live in any given home in the neighborhood. There are kiddie pools, tiny shoes left out front, bikes thrown around in the front yard - these homes should be targeted even more aggressively with fliers and some sort of incentive to come in. Another huge problem with this place is the lack of emphasis on ease of 'searchability' of the place. I had lived so close since 2016 and had not known about the place until maybe 2020 during the pandemic. How is that possible? It's all about not knowing this is an arcade. Sector 19 doesn't mean anything to me. It should be called 'Sector 19 Arcade' so that people can find it with a Google or Waze search. The arcade is clean and bright and fun for little kids. Its a safe place too - where parents can hang outside more in the restaurant part and not worry they wandered off - there is only one way out. The arcade needs to be front and center - this is why people come. Pizza House or Susie Qs have no competition in this arena.... so lean in on this. I will say that a Susie Qs has an edge with food quality - so again, more reason to make the family friendly atmosphere the center of attention.
