The classes are small, the facility is very clean, and I really appreciate that the classes aren't taught by students. Master Urbanik is patient, attentive, and has even helped calm my son down during a few meltdowns. My son has some neurodivergent tendencies, and this class has helped him overcome many of his fears, improve his ability to listen and follow instructions, his patience, and build confidence.  He's become much more confident speaking and performing in front of crowds. One thing to be aware of is that masks are required, which is fine especially during cold and flu season, since it helps keep germs under control. Overall, we've had a wonderful experience, and I highly recommend this place to families looking for a clean, supportive, and positive environment for their children.

I was very glad to find that InNae does just that! Grandmaster Urbanik is respectful, kind, and motivating. She draws out your best and finds innovative ways to teach a very traditional style of martial art. She explains the reasons behind the moves and teaches practical self-defense strategies you could use in daily life, and focuses not only on form and technique, but also on building up character and confidence as well. I definitely recommend this school to anyone looking to get into martial arts!

I've been compelled to write this review for a while-- my daughter has been with iBest since…read morebeginning of this school year and I only have great things to say! My daughter has been learning progressively through iBest's curriculum and enrichment courses and I truly think that her public school education alone would not get her to where she is now. She often recites or sings what she learned here, which goes to show how much she enjoys the learning process. I always feel confident knowing that her after school teachers are helping her learn beyond her school curriculum and setting her up for academic success. I'm often busy to check her homework but when I do, I'm amazed at how much she has learned within a few weeks. In addition to their academic program, I really appreciate the staff's genuine care. Jessica, Annie, Yiping, and Lan-- they are all great and superb with their communication in-person, via email, or phone. I can feel that they prioritize the safety and well-being of my child, for example, by calling me to double confirm if someone picked her up from school when they heard from their driver that I had texted for no pick-up that day. Also, I'm not sure how they keep up with the details but they somehow manage to remember what she brought to school that day (stuffed doll, what type of outerwear - jacket/cardigan, her water bottle, etc). They also check to make sure my kid finished her packed lunch at school; if not they help heat it up for her to finish. Lastly, I'm sure working parents would be thrilled to know that iBest has been really great about opening and offering childcare on days that public schools (randomly) close. They are open pretty much all year with the exception of major holidays. This is our first year of public school and I've heard from other working parents about the complexity of finding multiple weekly summer programs- but I'm so grateful that iBest provides all of this. It brings every parent a peace of mind!

It was…read moretough for a little kid to transit from a preschooler to an elementary student, and to stay in the school until almost 6pm for parents' pickup. IBest made it a smooth transition for my daughter. They offer plenty of activities and books. Small classes bring a lot attention to each student. They teach advanced stuff outside the public school curriculum. Specially designed Chinese class and math class are included in the tuition. I get to meet the teacher whenever request and communicate about my child's performance. The staff also watch the little kids closely to make sure they finish their lunch and drink plenty of water, which is a big release for me. We fully trust the teachers and staff there to take care our kid. The only problem is, my daughter doesn't want to go home when I pick her up :)

Since I don't live in Castro Valley, I stick around until matches are over. What I hear is good sportsmanship and age appropriate exchanges with lot of smiles. This is a happy group. I see great progress on her physical capability and her independence. Highly recommanded!

My daughter started her swimming lessons with Ms. Lilian, who became such an important part of her early swimming journey. When Ms. Lilian was no longer available because of the age bracket change, my daughter became really sad knowing she had to have a new instructor. Alexa and Theodora made sure Sarah's positions were correct and patiently guided her through the proper techniques. I just wish I could always get their schedules! Evelyn helped her tremendously in reaching different levels. She became so comfortable with her because she always found activities that made the lessons fun and enjoyable for her. I can see Evelyn's excitement and happiness whenever she reaches another level. Jesse recommended to have a wetsuit so my daughter won't be cold on her lessons. 5 stars for our instructor Jocelyn…read more My son has been working with Jocelyn for a few months now, and she is by far the best swimming instructor he's ever had. He's had several instructors before, but none have shown the level of patience, understanding, and care that she does. My son is on the autism spectrum and often stims by splashing, and instead of discouraging him, Jocelyn finds creative ways to keep him engaged so the behavior naturally reduces. Because of her approach, he's made phenomenal progress, and we're so proud of him. We first met Jocelyn when she subbed for his lesson, and we switched to her permanently after that day. We even joined her waitlist so he could see her twice a week. He loves his lessons now, and we are so grateful for her. Highly recommend!
