This spot has a variety of used clothing catering to a younger population but, overall, I appreciated the selection. Some of the prices on the items seemed a bit high, but, if you go in and actively look for sale items, it's worth it. They also have a good return policy. I bought a nice Polo for my husband and it was a bit too large, I returned it in a few days and it was fine. They are a well organized store with a helpful staff. If you are looking for a used, trendy item this spot is a good one to try. Be aware to really look through things thoroughly, I missed a great pair of jeans because they were hidden in a rack. Today, October 7, 2026, around 2:44 PM, I brought in a large amount of brand-new designer clothing, many pieces still with the tags attached, to sell. Unfortunately, this was yet another unpleasant experience at Plato's Closet. This is not the first time I've gone into this location and felt completely disrespected by the girl working the register. Every time I've dealt with her, the attitude has been rude and dismissive. I've even had the experience of feeling like I'm being laughed at when I walk in. At this point, it's getting pretty ridiculous. I dropped my clothes off today and was told it would take approximately 1-2 hours. So I waited around the store, looking through the merchandise, only to eventually be told that they weren't going to take any of my items because they were overstocked with inventory. If the store is too overwhelmed with inventory to accept clothing, that's fine -- but maybe tell customers that BEFORE taking their bags and making them wait two hours. That seems like a pretty basic courtesy. What makes this even more frustrating is that this has happened to me repeatedly with this particular employee. I've brought clothing to this location when other employees are working, and they have accepted my items without a problem. So it's hard not to question why my experience seems to change depending on who is working. I've also heard similar complaints from friends who have had uncomfortable experiences with the same employee. At some point, management might want to look into how customers are being treated and whether everyone is actually being given the same opportunity to sell their clothes. And honestly, when I walk into a store with brand-new designer pieces with tags still attached, only to see merchandise on the racks with stains, rips, holes, and shoes that look like they've seen better days, it's pretty frustrating to be told none of my items are acceptable. I completely understand that Plato's Closet gets to decide what they want to buy. That's not my complaint. My complaint is the attitude, the lack of communication, and the way I've repeatedly been treated by this employee. If you don't want my clothes, say that. If you're overstocked, say that. But there is absolutely no reason to make customers feel unwelcome, embarrassed, or like they're wasting your time. I'll gladly take my designer clothes somewhere else from now on. There are plenty of resale stores that know how to treat customers with basic respect. read more

The first time I came in the guy was super nice & the second time the girl was super rude & said my clothes were "not in style." I had a really frustrating experience with Plato's Closet. I dropped off my clothes and was told the wait time would be around 45-55 minutes, which seemed reasonable. I came back an hour and a half later, also known as twice the quoted wait time and they hadn't even started going through my items. Not delayed... not running behind... completely untouched. To make things worse, I had groceries sitting in my truck, so it's not like I could just wait around another 20+ minutes while they finally got to it. When I asked what was going on, the manager said they had a "rush" and their computers went down, which honestly just felt like a cop-out. If you're that backed up, be upfront instead, contact the people waiting on you but of instead you're just wasting their time. What really pushed it over the edge was the manager's response. When I pointed out that it didn't seem like anyone cared enough to fix the situation, she told me I was "coming at her." But if acknowledging that nothing was being done to make it right counts as "coming at you," then yes, that's exactly what I was doing. Because from my perspective, there was zero effort to take responsibility or offer any kind of solution. The whole experience felt disorganized and dismissive. If you're going to take people's items and give them a timeframe, the least you can do is respect it, or communicate when you can't. Instead, it was a complete waste of time with no accountability. I had a good experience here. Don't expect much for your items but it's better than nothing. They bought 3 items from me for $10. The girls working were super nice and said it would take close to 2 hours, but it didn't take that long. I went and ran errands and got a text that they were done. The prices are crazy high so I don't shop there, and I appreciate being offered cash instead of store credit. You get the same amount in cash as you do in store credit. read more

Wish I could give zero stars. 4 hr wait for a buy is ridiculous. I would understand when it's due to the volume of current buys and being short staffed but there were multiple people behind the counter just yapping and talking about customers. Cussing and so unprofessional. Heard one of them say "yeah no I'm not even going to look through her stuff f-- that b-- she can wait for nothing" I couldn't wait much longer for my items so i decided to just ask for them back and I cashed out. Rude cashier, NG was the name on my receipt. Little girl had an attitude for whatever reason when I was nice the entire time. Please consider hiring new staff, they're running this establishment into the ground. I used to love this location, now I'd rather much drive the 35 mins to go to the east location. They're fast, polite and have the decency to actually look through clothes that people bring in to sell. read more

Such a useless place! They positively pass through your items and don't even bother folding them back up after they rummage. They offer pennies even if they do choose an item or two. Such a waste of time! They bought 5 items from me for $11... They're kind, greet you when you walk in but that's about it. read more

Wow! What they can improve, I'm going to do a numbered list. 1. Interface with the customer. There is little engagement and staff does not seem to know answers to questions about policy. 2. They have decided not to do double points for having a Plato's closet bag. 3. When I checked in at the member points it said I had 20% off. Of which did not show up at the checkout 4. They showed I had no points at all, I have been gone for a while, but I had made purchases there before I left. This all makes me reluctant to sell to the store or even stop in. read more

Why is the wait to sell always 1.5-2 hours? It's ridiculous. I've tried 3 different days now and it's always almost a 2 hour wait for my little basket of 6 items, all designer too. They need a different system or some buyers who work with a little more urgency. You can really feel that the workers don't care about you. I'm looking elsewhere to sell. read more

Waited an hour for my buy to be processed, only had 10 items. All were rejected due to "style," however they were really high end brands like a FURLA handbag (NWT,) $350, Saint Laurent heels $800, one teaspoon denim $250, etc. These buyers are clearly not trained on what to buy! I went to sell a few purses 3 days in row the 1 st day i was 3 minutes past the timethe sell counter closes,2nd day i was 10 min. Before sell counter closes and they wanted me to leave my stuff overnite b/c they did not have time to look at 3 pursrs before closing ! So 3rd day i go back 4 hours before they close snd they have close buy counter because they reached capacity?!? I just called them to make sure what time the buy counter closed and they said nothing about being near capacity or whatever Dont waste ur time or gas going here they dont buy much and do t have much selection...seems like they're gonna close store anyway. Waste of time asked for a manager no manager present they said, and would not give even a 1st name of a Manager. Terrible uninterested workers act like they're all too busy to help u...when they just stand around behind the counter doing nothing syaring at the customers who are there...its a really strange vibe there anyway....really weird kinda creepy anyway. read more

Would not recommend attempting to sell literally anything here. I've sold to Plato's countless times at other locations and know they don't give much per item but that honestly doesn't bother me and I've always had a good experience. Brought in a bin of name brand, gently used clothes that included multiple items they claim they're in need of at this location and was told it would be 45 mins- 1hr. I thought no problem I'll go get a coffee, kill 30 mins, and then come back in and shop until my clothes are ready. After spending over an hour back in the store I saw my name was finally at the top of the que. Within 5 mins I got the text that my clothes were ready, made my way to the register to pick them up, and was told they weren't going to buy a single thing. I was pretty annoyed that I had wasted 2 hours of my day at that point but decided to just smile, purchase the clothes I had in my hand, and leave. It took longer to check out my 7 items then was spent going through my bin of 30. Only to get home and find one of the security tags wasn't removed. I went in to Plato today to sell some better label clothing. Athleta, gap, vans, Kate spade, Polo etc. all in very clean condition. apparently the girls that are "buying" your clothes to sell in your store only target Junior High/high schoolers in mind in very small sizes. I had an hour to look around and saw the quality of clothes you offer and I wouldn't buy anything. I feel like you are missing a big group of consumers to buy and sell items in your store. Just one consumers opinion. read more
