This is probably one of the worst towing companies I have ever come across!! My roadside assistance dispatched platinum towing to change a spare. Not only did they not come in the 45 min promised, I called them directly and was told another 25 min until they will get here after the 45 min has passed already. They did not show up after the second promised 25 min so I called again and was told another 40 min until they arrive. So after waiting for over 2 hours they finally up. The 2 guys that came not only parked so close behind me but also had their pants down to their knees they could barely handle anything to change the spare. To top it off my car fell of the jack because he did it wrong and almost rolled back into his truck but instead he threw my tire under my car to stop it from rolling into the truck so my car which is a SUV fell directly onto my disk and scratched up he disk all over but also heard a bunch of cracking noises under my car. So not only did they not have any clue what they were doing they also messed up my brand new car all over in the process. But to make matters worse when I called them to speak with someone about the damages they did I was sold to use a email and will be contacted back in 5-7 business days. Tells me I'm getting the run around already. So unless you want your car messed up I would not use this towing company for any purpose what so ever!!! I will be sharing my story via every social media account I have, I will be asking everyone to share this on their social media as well!!! I have pictures of them doing this. read more

It pains me to give them even one star. Requested tow at 12:00. It was estimated to arrive at 2:30. From 2:30 - 4:30 I was told he was 2 miles away every 20 minutes by their customer service team. At 5:00 they had the driver reach out. In frustration for an additional call THEY sent him on (and continued to tell me he was 10 minutes away) proceeded to curse me out over the phone. His last word were "I don't give a shit about you". Immediately I called customer service. No help at all. They actually harassed me, continually put me on long holds then would hang up on me laughing. HORRIFIED WITH THIS COMPANY read more

The worst customer experience I've ever had. I would give them a zero if I could. They are over an hour late. When I called the company for updates they said 20 min sorry there's traffic I'll have to driver call you. The driver did not call. 20 min later I called again, was put on hold for 10 min. Finally the lady said that the driver is 13 min away and he will call me. I still have not received a call and am still waiting for the driver to arrive. read more

TERRIBLE SERVICE. Locked our keys in our car, they were 13 minutes away from us (but they gave us a 20 minutes ETA, which was perfect) They ended up showing up almost 2 HOURS LATER. Called them twice and they kept making excuses! Love how 20 minutes turned into 1 hour and 45 minutes of standing out in the freezing cold!!! read more

I can't speak to others' experiences, but Kamran (I think I got his name correct) treated me right. He was patient, honest, and had a lot of integrity in helping me solve a problem. In the end, he saved me quite a bit of money that a less scrupulous person would have pocketed. Much respect! read more

I needed a tow due to an engine problem making the car unsafe to drive and called the All State Roadside Service number. They arranged the tow with Platinum in Seattle. The service was arranged at about 10:45 PM on a Saturday night. I received a text from All State with information saying the truck would arrive at 12:01 AM. This was a little bit beyond the one hour quote for services I usually get when using my towing benefits with GEICO. But due to the distance I needed towing (35 miles or so), the service was going to end up being cheaper with All State. Luckily my car was safely out of the street in the parking lot of an AutoZone. But it was cold outside with the car not running, so I went to a nearby late night restaurant to get warm. I had asked for the driver to call me when he was near, so I'd have time to walk back to the car. Well the driver did call me about midnight. But he said he was thirty minutes away. Once he was there everything worked out fine. He was very nice. And miracle of miracles, unlike most previous tow truck cabs that I've had the "pleasure" of riding in over the years, this cab didn't reek of cigarette smoke. So my major complaint would be the length of time the tow took to arrive. But I don't know who made the time estimate-Platinum towing or All State Roadside Assistance. The driver did keep me informed of his progress which was nice. read more

horrible service. Waited almost an hour and a half after the time they said they would arrive with no call. After 45m, I called to check on status and they said 15 more minutes. after 20 more minutes I called back and the gal hung up on me when I said I couldn't hear her very well and the driver finally arrived 15-20 minutes later. read more

I wanted nearly 4 hours for this tow company all the while then saying they would arrive in 15 min, 30 min. They told my insurance they would only be an hour. I will never use this tow company again.. a shady bunch of truth benders. read more

Ive used platinum towing twice. Chino was the driver who helped me both times. He arrived both times in a timely manner and saved my ass. I highly reccomend doing business with this company. read more

I have Progressive Roadside assistance, and they contract Platinum Towing to provide tow services to their customers. I ran out of gas, and had a dead battery. Easy roadside assistance call. The driver that arrived had an unprofessional attitude from the moment of arrival. Driver threatened to leave without completing service. When jumping my battery, he told me my battery terminal was dirty, and he would need an additional $10 CASH to clean. The jump is covered by my roadside assistance, so driver should not have been trying to upsell battery terminal cleaning. I asked him to just try and let the battery charge a little longer, and then my van started. He was unable to find the stick under the hood to hold hood open. I needed to go to gas station a few blocks away to get change to pay him for fuel charge. Driver took pictures of me, my license plate, and van. Not sure if he thought I was not going to pay him for the gas, but I did. When he took pictures of me and my vehicle, it made me very uncomfortable. Platinum towing charged me $5.00/gallon fuel charge. Progressive told me they should have only charged me their actual fuel cost, and not any additional. This was a negative experience all around. Driver appeared to not enjoy his job. That certainly is not my fault. A little customer service and a positive attitude go a long way, when someone is broke down. read more

Came out to a dead battery at about 4pm called Allstate Motor Club who put the order in for Platinum and said it would be about an hour, which seemed reasonable during commute. Surprised to receive the call from the driver about 20 minutes later saying he was less than 5 minutes away and he showed up a few minutes later. Kamran (#54) was quick and very friendly. I normally might not have written a review except while I was waiting I looked the company up on Yelp and was worried I'd be waiting forever, so when they were ahead of schedule and the drive was so nice, professional, and quick, I felt like it was only right to relay my experiences, so I asked for his name. read more

This is a badly run operation. USAA insurance sent them to tow my car. They sent a text with an ETA of 11:22. After blowing through that ETA I called. They said the driver was in Everett and was having trouble getting to me so another 20-30 minutes. 30 minutes later I look on google maps and see no traffic between Everett and my home. I call again. This time they were irritated with me and told me the driver would call. The driver was very nice and told me they had rerouted him so he would be another 30 minutes or so. It's been and hour and a half past their ETA and still no truck in site. It'll be a 2.5 plus hour wait by the time they get around to me. And I mean get around to me because it's obvious they've been rescheduling me as other jobs come up. Probably figure since I'm insurance driven they can make me wait and still get paid. read more

I've needed roadside service a couple times lately and I've used Platinum Towing both times. Polite, prompt, helpful service. Happy was the name of the last service man and he was great. Definitely will use these guys again. Call 'em. They'll help. read more

While I did wait for what seemed like an eternity, it was Fri afternoon rush hour, so I did take that into account. When the truck did arrive, I was pleasantly greeted by Happy! He was AWESOME! I was tired and just wanted to get home and had a commute from Kirkland to Seattle to contend with. I wish I could commute with this guy every day, he made it fly! I hope this company appreciates him. read more

Wish I could give it 0 stars. After an hour and 15 minutes waiting I called to check on the location (was told an hour wait) they told me that I5 was closed northbound, which according to SPD it was not (I was standing next to an officer), but they continued with there was a call further north of me that was 1st but the driver was now on the way to me. Due to height restrictions I made sure they had the right truck sent my way. They confirmed that the original truck was a pickup (for a jumpstart) I hung up waited 45 more minutes and called my insurance (they originated the 1st call) my insurance company called them and Platinum flat out lied and told them the original truck showed up but could not enter due to undisclosed height restrictions (I was outside of the garage and no truck came by) after another 20 minutes (Platinum promised my insurance provider) my insurance called for a 2nd truck from another company, 15 minutes later Platinum FINALLY showed up (totalling a 3 hr wait for a jumpstart) the driver was friendly but seemed more concerned that it was now 615PM and was suppose to be off at 6 and "could not wait to go home but had another call" .... I WILL NEVER USE THEM AGAIN OR RECOMMEND THEM TO ANYONE. read more

So here's the deal with companies that do roadside contract work.... They have to stack calls, giving bogus eta's just to make sure they collect as many dispatches as possible.. Then, they try and work thru them in an order that best maximizes profit.. You see? And it's not totally the tow company's fault. The insurance companies and roadside assistance dispatch services pay super low rates to the contractors. They pay $20 - $40 to the tow company for a 5 mile tow.. So lowballer companies like Platinum think they are gonna get rich by running as many of these low dollar tows as possible. If they responded to each call as they came in, and in that order. They would be running from one end of the county to the other for $20. Driving a $100k truck... So the blame is not just Idiot tow companies like this.. Also falls on the roadside assistance company and insurance companies. So, if you want good service? Look on Yelp and call someone with good reviews, pay out of pocket, then send the bill to your insurance. Maybe, just maybe then someone might wake up. read more

I'm not even one that likes complaining but the experience I had with this company was off the charts horrible...the company my job leases fleet vehicles from called these incompetent people. The guy brought into provide the lockout service starts off by complaining to and criticizing me for making him wait and then argues with me about the directions he received versus the ones I gave...SUPER unprofessional. Then turns out they don't have the equipment needed to perform a lockout on a box truck? What the hell kind of a towing company that provides a lockout service doesn't have the equipment necessary to meet all challenges? If I could give negative stars for this review I would...and sure enough after rolling thru other reviews you guys are a habitual offender in the shitty service department. So if you're on the Seattle area and in need of a tow or lockout...skip platinum towing cause THEY SUCK ASS...and they're probably not equipped to do the job... read more

Horrible company. My insurance company arranged to have them tow my car to the auto body shop. Got a text and a phone call saying they would be there within 15 minutes of 2:45pm. By 5:30 no show and I call them - the auto body shop was closing so we arrange for pick up the next morning at 9:00am. I call them at 8:00am and at first the operator acts like they have never heard of the claim. Another person gets on the phone and says he will call the dispatch and try to get someone out "by 9". Around 10:30 no call back and no tow truck in sight. I call and say what the heck. The receptionist tells me that the "third party" company would not authorize the pick up. She claims they are "just caught in the middle" after some discussion she hangs up on me. I call my insurance company - sure enough the "third party" company gets on the phone and tells me that they did not deny a pick up at all - talking it through with my insurance company and the third party on the line it becomes clear that Platinum is almost certainly not telling the truth. DO NOT rely on this company - they will let you down, leave you hanging and then claim they are helpless to do anything. Wow... read more

I'd like to thank Kevin Smith at Platinum Towing for his excellent service in towing my car on December 30, 2016. The weather was cold and my car broke down late at night. Kevin drove to North Seattle to get my vehicle and when he showed up he was very professional, courteous and careful with my car. He took extra precautions and double checked everything. He was very affable and friendly to talk with as well as very competent at his job. When we arrived at the garage, which was already closed since it was late at night, only a single parking space was left to park my car. Kevin expertly and adroitly maneuvered his tow truck and neatly tucked my car in between two others. I haven't seen parking precision like that since parking jets on an aircraft carrier. I would like Platinum Towing to know that Kevin Smith is a model employee and an invaluable asset to the company. If I ever need towing assistance in the future I would ask for Kevin Smith. read more

This morning I needed to have my car towed to an auto repair center. My automobile road service dispatched Platinum Towing to pick-up my car. The driver, Happy, was so pleasant. His warm, upbeat, and positive attitude was truly infectious. It is almost never a great experience to have a mechanical car repair problem. What began as a rather distressing event ended up to be a bright spot in my day. Happy personably shined the bright light of optimism on this aggravating car repair challenge and when he drove away (with my car in tow) I felt how nice to spend the few minutes with such a warm engaging person who, in his delightful manner lifted the sense of discouragement that had previously enveloped me.. Happy was efficient and professional and I knew my car had been placed in responsible hands. Happy brightened my day. So nice to have such a positive interaction with someone in the service industry. read more
