Universal Towing Company was very easy to contact, got immediately in touch with a human instead of some automated response lines with most other services. Charles was able to get to my location within 1 hour and replace my flat tire with the spare tire in my car. I was charged a flat fee of $150 for this service. He made sure to answer any questions I had and that I was able to drive off of there. read more

Chose Universal Towing based on their reviews and they did not disappoint. Charles showed up promptly at the scheduled time. Futzed with my car as it would not get into gear (hence the tow). He calmly dealt with it and kept me informed as he was working on it. He was able to get it in gear to get it towed on a curvy hill with traffic. Price was modest & as quoted (under $200). A lot of towing companies are sketchy and predatory - I'm happy to say Universal Towing is the very opposite. It is run by two brothers and when you call you quickly talk to an actual human. They were able to help me tow my 1975 Honda motorcycle. They had great communication, gave me an honest quote, and stuck to it. Oh, and they were really nice on top of it! I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them for a tow, especially for a motorcycle. read more

Charles and his team blew me away. I called for service, they missed my call but called right back. They gave me an easy flat rate of 250 for about a 35 mile tow. They kept in constant contact and communication with me about the status, from beginning to end. They passed me off and told me who I'd be in touch with at each step of the way. Charles was my driver as well, was quick, efficient, friendly and professional. I didn't need to question his ability to keep my rig safe. He sent me a quick update when traffic delayed him, including a picture, which was reassuring, and let me know when he'd dropped the vehicle. Payment is for-ease-of-customer. Hats off to Charles, owner of Universal Towing. Way back in November 2016 (this is May 2017) he towed my car after an accident. He immediately answered my call in person (no answering service or dispatcher), gave a competitive price, and showed up promptly. What's more he ended up having to change the tire on the car just to get it loaded, which he did without fuss. Even so I think he ended up giving us a price break on the tire change. He was careful loading and unloading and was pleasant to drive with back to our house with. All in all a great tow. Easily 4 stars. Charles gets 5 stars, however, owing to when I came back to him in May and requested a copy of my invoice for insurance submittal he was helpful, understanding, and went to some trouble to dig it up for me by the next day. So I cold-called an emergency towing company 4-5 months after the fact for an invoice copy and got it fast and hassle-free! That gets Charles and Universal Towing the 5th star for going the extra mile--a trait that cannot be overstated in a towing company. read more

I truly appreciate Universal Towing's Customer service. I had to tow my motorcycle and was suggested to use universal towing but ended up going through my insurance and they picked a random place that was available. After Waiting two hours for a tow that never showed up, we rescheduled through Universal towing, and because of their connection with the bike shop, they were able to make a pick up after hours and get everything settled. The driver and owner called me along the way to give me updates, while coordinating with the bike shop. After my initial long wait, having a friendly face reassure me that everything was taken care of was huge! I should have just gone through Universal towing in the first place, lesson learned! Oh, and turns out... It was covered by my insurance with them anyway, so win-win! read more

Charles helped me tow my 1979 Harley Shovelhead from Ballard to Kirkland. The bike is a precious family heirloom, and it's heavy and unwieldy, but Charles had it covered. Was driving my classic car and had a carburetor problem that made driving it unsafe. I was 20 miles from home. The car had been worked on the week before and needs to be returned to the repair shop near where I live. Universal Towing came to my rescue. Called at about 11 am needing a tow for my truck to the shop at 3:30 He said he could absolutely do that, and was cheerful and professional throughout the process. I needed my car towed from Bellevue to Seattle. Charles had the best rate and was also kind enough to come all the way across the bridge to pick up my car. My car was parked in our apartment complex (which is both narrow and busy) but he was both quick and careful with my car as he loaded it up. Upon arriving at the dealership in Seattle, he unloaded the car into a spot and then amazingly offered to give me a ride home! We could not have asked for a better towing experience than we had with Universal Towing Company. We purchased an old classic car that had been stored in a very small, dusty, dirty garage for 24 years. The tires were all flat and the space between the walls and the car was tight. On top of that it was covered in dust and cobwebs. No Problem! The tow truck owner/operator, Charles was on it! He managed to put air in all of the tires, and then carefully extricated the car from the garage, hooked it up to the towing apparatus, and then after an uneventful journey from Seattle to Edmonds, placed it perfectly in our driveway. We were in AWE! Not only because of the skill he displayed, but all the while, he was professional, friendly and polite. And to top it off, the price was very reasonable. It is clear that he really cares about his customers. If we ever need to have a vehicle towed again, we will ONLY call Universal Towing Company. read more
