Submitted my first towing claim to my auto insurance USAA today at 430 PM and their contractor Platinum Towing was suppose to come to the 9th and Jefferson area of Seattle. ETA from my insurance was 1.5 hours, which became 30 minutes, 30 minutes, and 30 more minutes thereafter. 3 hours later they were still a no call, no show. At this point I was livid and decided I'd rather pay out of pocket for a tow than wait any longer for a company that I was SURE was never going to come. I had a bad taste in my mouth and frankly was not expecting much when I started calling around. Yelped companies in the immediate area. Called Universal Towing based out of Bellevue/Kirkland who came 30 minutes after contact! This company was a god send and was highly recommended by Yelp reviewers. Charles is the owner and he's expeditious, personable, and professional. My car seems to be having electrical issues and he even recommended a repair shop in the International District that he trusts. Saving their number in my phone for future use! $200 for a quick 15 minute ride to Northgate area and NO MORE WAITING- I'm willing to pay for reliability. I have never experienced the customer service I had today. Universal Towing is well above sub-par. Avoid the headache and call Charles. read more

This company survived me and I want to say thank you for your help. My Mercedes was sitting in th parking lot for a month and when I started it off, the Emergency Brake was mechanically stuck and I wasn't able to move the car a bit. I wanted to call Mercedes Towing to take the car to their dealership and it could easily cost me more than $500 to fix it. I said let's try this company based on the reviews here, so I called Universal Towing to take my car to Mercedes dealership. When the guy arrived and I explained him the reason why I can't move my car, he sat behind the wheel and surprisingly managed to move the car, but he said he feels that the Emergency Brake is still stuck, so he told me it can be because of rust on my wheel rotors, so instead of Mercedes dealership, he towed the car to Auto Parts to buy 3 Brake Cleaning spray cans. He unloaded my car in Auto Parts parking lot and told me to drive slowly and he sprayed all the rusty wheel rotors. The car started moving smoothly and the Emergency Brake got released. I just paid $15 for 3 spray cans and $150 for towing. I highly recommend this company to everyone. Once again thank you for your help. read more

My car wouldn't start, I needed it towed from my garage to a repair shop. The shop said they use Jim's Northgate Towing, but their Yelp reviews were less than stellar. I found this company listed as 24/7 Rapid Discount Towing and it had all 5 star reviews so I gave it a try. The man that helped me, Charles, is the owner and also operates one of three trucks. He's also mentioned in both reviews so I'm sure it's the same company, maybe with a recent name change. The 24/7 is listed under Seattle and Universal is listed under Bellevue; my tow was in Seattle but he said he serves both places. Anyway, he was great! When I called, I told him about how far it was and he quoted me a price. It was less than I expected. A hookup charge, a per mile charge, and an extra $20 because I wanted a flat bed instead of a hook. It's a tight exit with a curve from my garage and also a narrow alley, but he managed it with no problems. I gave him the shop's address, he gave me a call after it was delivered to let me know. Very personable fellow. I'm keeping his card in my car, if I ever need another tow I'll definitely call him. read more

We could not have asked for a better towing experience than we had with Universal Towing Company. We purchased an old classic car that had been stored in a very small, dusty, dirty garage for 24 years. The tires were all flat and the space between the walls and the car was tight. On top of that it was covered in dust and cobwebs. No Problem! The tow truck owner/operator, Charles was on it! He managed to put air in all of the tires, and then carefully extricated the car from the garage, hooked it up to the towing apparatus, and then after an uneventful journey from Seattle to Edmonds, placed it perfectly in our driveway. We were in AWE! Not only because of the skill he displayed, but all the while, he was professional, friendly and polite. And to top it off, the price was very reasonable. It is clear that he really cares about his customers. If we ever need to have a vehicle towed again, we will ONLY call Universal Towing Company. read more

I cannot recommend Universal Towing enough - wish I could give them 10 stars!! My son ran over something on I-5 in Seattle at 1 AM which destroyed both of his driver's side tires so he was stranded on the freeway in the middle of the night. Our insurance company US** who we have roadside assistance with, was unable to find a towing company to help (grrrr...), so I had to find a towing service myself in the middle of the night. Several of the other towing services I called went straight to voice mail, but as soon as I called Universal, Charles immediately answered, texted me a link to pay securely and had a truck there in about an hour. Their service was prompt, courteous and professional. Do not hesitate to call them, this company is FANTASTIC!!! This is the kind of company you feel good about giving business to. My car broke down at the busy intersection of Denny and Fairview. I was frazzled to say the least. After getting pushed by some good samaritans to the side of the road, I phoned Universal Towing Company and Charles picked up on the first ring. He was professional and friendly from the start and I felt I was in good hands. He was quickly on his way and arrived soon after. He loaded my car with expertise and facility. Not only did I feel grateful to have been lucky to find him for his professionalism, I was also thankful that he was just a really nice, friendly guy. My motorcycle broke down in a town I am not familiar with. In a time of great uncertainty, I was given universal towings number and gave them a call. A real person picked up and my Triumph Tiger Explorer was getting loaded into a covered trailer in half an hour. Charles is extremely kind and even offered to give me a ride somewhere so that I wasn't sitting in the rain. He dropped off my bike at the dealership and texted me when it was unloaded. Car died on me while driving home from work. Decided to leave the car and search for reliable tow trucks that wouldn't charge a arm and a leg. Saw Universal Towing and said they can pick up the car and tow the car to my destination which was really convenient. My house has a super narrow alleyway for towing trucks but the owner Charles still did his best and managed to get my car to where I wanted it. My daughter had a flat along a highway in Kirkland. These guys got out there in the promised time frame. After they left, the car would not start for some reason. I called the driver back and although he did not have to, he went back out as he was still close and jumped her vehicle and made sure she was safe to drive away. Great service and communication. We were picked up within an hour of State Farm contacting them which is impressive in its own right, but then to hear that they were a 40min drive away made it even more impressive. Our driver is extremely friendly and courteous, and his driving is very safe, I fell asleep in the truck then so did my girlfriend.
