My daughter's car was dead in her apartment complex parking lot. I live in Boise and was trying to help her troubleshoot and resolve the issue remotely as I suspected the battery had crossed over into the spirit world. After some back and forth and with some help from a neighbor it was determined that battery was not the problem. I contacted a couple local shops and finally the dealership's service department and made an appointment. They recommended Hubies for towing and I have to say, from the first to that last conversation with Hubie it was an extreme pleasure working with him. Hubie was planning to meet my daughter at her apartment to pick up the car. She was en route to her place via a Lime scooter when the battery died and it became apparent she was going to be late. She called Hubie apologetic and said she was on her way but would be late. He literally came and picked her up in the world's biggest Uber vehicle. Hubie and I had spoken about the symptoms of the car and I told him I thought it was battery related. When he got to her car he did a quick look and he also suspected it was battery related. Needless to say he got the car running and my (very reasonable) quote for towing was cut by more than half for a service call. All that is beyond incredible service, but he didn't stop there. He knew the battery may have a bad cell in it and it might be dead in the morning. He found a nearby AutoZone, called and confirmed they had her battery in stock and could install it that evening and then followed her there to ensure she made it safe. All the while keeping Dad in Idaho informed. I told him that I could not thank him enough for his help and kindness and he said "Hey man, I have daughters of my own, I'm glad I could help". This is a late review and follow up, years ago my car broke down during rush hour on the express lanes. Hubie's towing came from the South end to access the express lanes in the North end and safely get me towed. They were the only tow company that would respond during rush hour. Recently, I thought I needed a tow as my battery charger didn't start my car. Hubie said he would send Yared's Roadside assistance first. He was correct as Yared's was able to get my car started. People shouldn't use their flashers in an emergency when there's no emergency like this vehicle here he only put his flashers on just to get in front of traffic People abuse their authority when they have those emergency flashers and it's not cool because then you make a whole line of traffic get out of the line you're in And it creates a big mess for everyone This vehicle made everybody within a 100' or no more than that I'm gonna say at least 500' get out of his way When there was no emergency for him. I had arranged with Hubies to pick up my car between 8:30 and 9:00 am to tow it to a repair shop. I waited 1 1/2 hours and no one showed up, and no one contacted me. I sent a text and called their number (straight to voicemail) repeatedly since I really needed to get to work. In the end I just gave up and left. I later learned that there was a big accident and they instead focussed on that. I have no problem that they felt the accident was more pressing, but there is NO EXCUSE for not contacting me to tell me that they wouldn't be able to make the scheduled pickup and would schedule another time so I would not have to miss work. Finally, hours later I got a call from one of the drivers who was coming to deal with my car, and so I left work and came home. This driver, Jeff, was the most awesome tow truck driver I have ever dealt with. My house is 120 years old and has a very narrow driveway between my house and our neighbor's house. While Jeff's first inclination was to say that there was no way he could tow the car from the bottom of the driveway, he thought carefully about it and amazingly managed to navigate his flatbed truck from the street and down the driveway, without damaging any plants or houses! And despite all the hassle of doing this, he was a super nice guy and very calm. So 5+ stars for Jeff and 1 star for the management at Hubies. read more

Look. You're probably not having a great time, as you're looking up towing companies on review sites. I hear ya. I just had a rough day too. Thankfully, I was lucky enough to work with Hubie. An out of control driver hit my car, and it was immobile. The police towed it to a frustrating impound lot, filled with esoteric unwritten rules, but HUBIES TO THE RESCUE. Not only was Hubie's team timely, and super responsive (I've got his cell phone number saved), but Hubie himself was calm, kind and extremely adept at problem solving. I was driving down Pacific Avenue in downtown Tacoma to pick up dinner from a storefront restaurant when a red tow truck with a hubie towing decal on the side was blocking the the restaurant's designated curbside delivery parking area. I gestured to the male driver that I was trying to go into that stall but he waived me to go around. So I did just that and took the next available stall closest to the restaurant in order for the restaurant patron to see me. The male approaches my vehicle and starts knocking on my window so I proceeded to roll it down. He immediately began behaving in a hostile manner screaming at me "YOU NEED TO GET THE FUCK OUT OF HERE". I proceeded to explain to him that he told me to go around him while he was blocking the stall I intended to pull into. He then said "WHO THE FUCK DO YOU THINK YOU ARE, CURBSIDE DELIVERY DELIVERY FUCK THAT". It was extremely uncalled for and there definitely could have been done in a kinder approach to this situation but instead he chose to use scare tactics and foul language to get what he wanted. It was extremely disturbing and quite frightening as I am a young woman up against a hostile white male. I'm sure the storefronts invest money into permits for their curbside delivery designated stalls and for him to block it, tell me to go around, then when I do, get upset for his own inconvenience, is so irrational. read more

Here's the bottom line: Hubies Towing is the BEST!!!!!! When I got into a car accident, Hubie himself came to the rescue in less than 10 mins!!! He was so incredibly nice and very efficient in getting the car towed. We were on the way taking my sister to the airport and when we thought she was probably not going to make her flight, he loaded us in his tow truck and went 30 min out of his way to take her to the airport! He even took a picture of us when we dropped her off :) He made sure we were comfortable, felt safe, and even gave us some water and waited with us for our Uber ride to arrive.
