Just leaving, very dissatisfied. [[HIGHLIGHT]]My hands and feet still came out cute, but I did not get what I asked for due to miscommunication on the nail tech's part.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Admittedly, I've been doing my own hands and feet for a year or so, so I'm not sure if manicures and pedicures have changed to where the nail shops no longer clean under finger nails and toenails, but I had to ask for it to be done for my toes, and the tech only cleaned under one hand. Neither the tech that did my nails nor the one that did my feet completely addressed my cuticles, they don't look as clean as they used to when I was still going to nail shops. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I asked for "Cat Eye" and showed them exactly what I wanted from a finger nail example that they offered to me. There was understanding at this point. When it came time to do the Cat Eye, the tech did a design that I didn't ask for.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I showed her exactly what I wanted. She asked if I wanted something different, [from the previous design she did] I said yes. I was waiting to see what I asked for to appear, it never happened. Again, my nails were still cute, just not what I asked for. As it was my first time getting Cat Eye, I wanted to know where we went wrong. [[HIGHLIGHT]]When I was figuring things out aloud, I had to make it clear that I gave them their own example of what I asked for, and the tech did a design that was not requested. No accountability was taken on their side.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Another tech interjected to provide clarity, which helped me understand the first tech better, but it didn't uncover a misunderstanding on my part.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] She even tried to attribute the misunderstanding to my lack of experience with Cat Eye. I've seen the style on numerous hands and I ask each time if that style is Cat Eye, that's all that I'm thinking that I need to request especially when given an example by the nail tech and told her that that's exactly what I wanted. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It was very frustrating to have to keep my cool to avoid looking like the bad guy when voicing corrections that should've just been performed for a paying customer.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] read more

Moved to this neighborhood and was hoping I could find me a pedicure place close by. I would not recommend. Katy was my technician and she colored outside of most of my toes. I asked her to fix it but she only filed the sides a little bit. Hard to fix once it's cured with gel. I also felt burning during the gel cure and was wondering why. Later on I found out it was the clear gel dripping down my toes that I couldn't see. I ended up having to rip the clear gel that were cured on the bottom of my toes. Horrible work. read more

Amazing place to come relax and get the old nails done. My wife swears by this place. I join her a couple times a year and I have enjoyed every moment of it. The ladies are all nice and do a great job taking their time and helping you be comfortable. The chairs are newer and provide a pretty good massage. I went to get pedicure, for my birthday the nail tech argued the entire time, she abused me verbally and even grabbed the arm from the chair and squeezed my arm as doing it, she was so loud and unprofessional and had a very bad temper!! all because I told her she had not clipped the nail hanging from one of my toes! My mom was a recent walk-in client requesting a gel manicure and gel pedicure. She arrived at the salon around 4:00 p.m., waited about 15 minutes and received her pedicure first. The color requested was a light, neutral color with a specific number to match the paint. The nail technician walked away as she attempted to detail the number. The tech purposefully used a standard, flat white instead. The quality and time spent was pretty standard. Soon after, the female nail technician passed my mom along to an older male technician for the manicure. He may have been putting forth his best effort, and maybe he was under qualified, but my mom was mortified with the end result. The manicure was not soothing nor comfortable. The manicure in fact caused pain. The paint job seemed unfinished and quite messy. The shape of the nails are pretty inconsistent, as well the smoothness & the thickness. The outcome of the manicure and pedicure was questionable, but the most disappointing part was the amount of time the services required. My mom did not leave the salon until 7:00, which means she was sitting at the salon with less than sub-par service for THREE HOURS. Please keep in mind that my mom is too kind to back out of the middle of the services, speak up in a confrontational manner, etc. She is feeling extremely distraught and frustrated by her experience at Platinum Nail Salon in Elk Grove, CA on Elk Grove Blvd. and Waterman Road. I hope future clients have a more positive experience, and I hope that management could not only refund the payment from today, Friday, March 8th for this manicure and pedicure, but also compensate my mom for her time in some way. read more

I'm not sure what to say. I've never had the skin of my eyelids ripped off from an eyebrow waxing before. It's been three days and the pain has not gone away, but the scars do seem to be healing. I'm giving the place two stars instead of one because they did a thorough job on my dad's pedicure and he really needed it.
