They reuse brushes on many people without washing them first. GROSS. -1. It's like a factory and the woman doing my hair barely even said a word to me the whole time. -1. the curlers have visible hair (not mine) and dirt on them. Basically if you are on a shoestring budget as I am then you will fore go somethings such as brush cleanliness for getting your hair done for cheap. Although the whole time you are in the chair you will be pondering whether or not they will hate you if you bring in your own brushes and curlers. All in all not bad and I have not gotten lice so far.

My 1st impression was good, open hours say 9am, I got there at 9:05am and there were already people nearly done with their hair. I was immediately addressed and helped the moment I walked in. The pictures online really don't do the salon Justice, the design is pretty and cohesive. You can tell they spared little expense when picking out chairs and decoration. One of my favorites was the circle lights above nearly each seat, and the giant double sided mirrors. The person who helped me, I believe her name was Lissette. She was really friendly, and kept asking how I was doing. She was speedy, but she didn't rush. I did notice, while I was under the dryer that there seemed to be a never ending stream of people in and out. Which is of course good business, but it didn't seem like people had appointments, so the team was shuffling people around. They definitely were doing a good job at it. Online, I thought the style I wanted would be $85, I was charged $125, probably for the cool style Lissette and I decided on. I got a higher ponytail with barrels alone the scalp Overall, my hair is cute, I had a pleasant experience and it was really easy to get to.

I visited this salon three times for loc retightening between June 2024 and August 2025…read more Unfortunately, I won't be returning due to inconsistent pricing and poor business practices. For my first appointment in June 2024, I scheduled in person about a week ahead. Doris looked at my hair, quoted me a price, and I booked. At the end of that appointment, however, she suddenly charged me more, saying my hair was long and I had a lot of locs--even though she had already seen my hair when giving me the original quote. My second appointment in June 2025 went smoothly, with no pricing issues. At my third appointment in August 2025, the same situation happened again. Despite booking in person before and being quoted a price after Doris looked at my hair, I was told after the service that it would cost more. After some back and forth--where I reminded her she had just recently quoted me in person--she eventually honored the original price. While the work itself was fine, I can't overlook this pattern of quoting one price and then changing it after services are completed. That's not a trustworthy way to do business, and it will prevent me from returning.

Honorable mentions: Street parking is usually readily available. They take plastic, but not for tips. You will need to get buzzed in, so be patient at the door.
