It cost me $338 to leave this gym…read more I sustained an injury during a workout at Spenga. On the same day that they approved my "medical furlough" (putting my membership on hold while I was unable to workout), they charged me for a full month of membership, $169. My partner was also out on a medical furlough. When at the end of my furlough, my partner was still unable to return to the gym, I decided to end my membership. I called to cancel, but got talked into keeping my membership on furlough until my partner was well enough to return. When after a couple of months my partner was still out on medical furlough, we both decided to cancel our memberships. When I called to cancel, I pointed out that I had already been charged for an entire month that I could not use and had no intention of coming back to the gym. The owner, Stephanie, told me she required a "final payment" of an additional $169 along with a song and dance about how I could continue to use the gym until such and such a date, completely ignoring me when I told her that I had no intention of coming back to the gym. Think twice before committing to a membership here. It will cost you big bucks to get out of it. It's unfortunate because the instructors are great and really seem to care. Ownership is not and does not.

I'm normally an Orangetheory girlie, and have done CycleBar for years, but today I couldn't muster energy for a full 45 minutes of cycle or hour-long treads and weight floor. Spenga had the solution- only 20 min. of spin, 20 min. of strength (I won't hold it against them that it was leg day and I was trying to avoid that), and 20 minutes of yoga. It was impossible to get bored, and I feel refreshed! Added bonus: lovely taking class from Gabrielle, and chatting with her and Emily after class about Dunkin' and all things East Coast. Tip: Be sure to arrive 30 minutes before your first class or you WILL be lost and/or turned away.

I originally started going to Wild and Precious to just get some much-needed alignment, but as they continue to evolve their techniques and tools, I keep finding great reasons to keep coming back! Over the last few years, not only have they continued to adjust me to keep me comfortable and pain-free, but we've done lots of balance improvement (which significantly improved my ski abilities and hiking safety), worked on brain training (which significantly improved my sleep quality and energy levels) and other maintenance that keep me in top athletic shape.

In two years, I've lost 65 pounds and built more muscle than I thought was possible. Those numbers are incredible on their own, but they don't even scratch the surface of what makes Chase exceptional. The guy just knows his stuff. Fitness, nutrition, programming- he understands it all at a level that most trainers don't come close to. What blows me away is how much we pack into a single hour. We're hitting multiple training qualities at once and it never feels thrown together- it's always intentional. What really sets Chase apart is how adaptable he is. Life gets busy, schedules change, some days you just don't have it- and he meets you right where you are every single time. He doesn't expect your life to fit around training, he fits training around your life. That's honestly a big reason I've stayed consistent long enough to actually see results. He also keeps me accountable, but in a way that makes me want to show up, not dread it. No guilt trips, no pressure. Just someone who genuinely cares whether you succeed. Chase has exceeded every expectation I've ever had of a trainer, and I don't say that lightly. If you're thinking about it, just do it. You won't find better.

She broke the surgeons records for full motion recovery in all age groups. She continues with parkinsons focused exercise patterns suggested by her physical therapist. My experience with Chase involves progressive weight training. My fly fishing arm exhaustion has been cured and I can step over fallen timber better than ever. Further, when I overdo my back, all is better after session with Chase. He's amazingly tech organized and can keep me on a steadily improving program which over 70 yrs of every fitness program imaginable I can not possibly do on my own. If you are serious about fitness, Chase is what you need.
