My son has been coming here since he was six months old he is now three. Swimming from one side of the pool to another he tries to dive under. He has no problem jumping in and swimming all over our pool. I really love the way they teach the kids slowly allowing them to graduate and move on to harder techniques of swimming. I've seen other schools where they dunk their kids in terrible!!!!! I've also seen where they mainly focus on floating which a child still could get tired and drown. My son at one years old he could swim over to the wall and pull himself out. I truly believe that they have to practice in order for their little brain can remember what to do in case of an emergency. I do not believe in schools that take a week or to only dunk your kid in traumatize the crap out of them and then allow them to focus on mainly floating. I would say just like any police or firefighters that have to train so Incase of an emergency they don't go into shock and know exactly what to do. I also have a friend where her 4 year old could not swim and within a week AquaChamps helped me be a comfortable swimmer.

I am a woman in my 40's and due to a very traumatic experience in my childhood (I'm talking mouth…read moreto mouth resuscitation here) I have never learned to swim. For the longest time I couldn't get my ears wet because I'd freak out. Having said that, I moved into a house with a pool and little by little I have been losing my fear of the water. I know I will never go in the ocean, but the pool now I can do. David's swim school is very close to my home and I always saw it, or their signs, and I would think to myself. "I should sign up and take lessons" I always rationalize that I would do it eventually, or the following year. And then Covid hit. Now over a year later I decided that enough was enough. I called and made an appointment to start swimming lessons. I am able to float and to swim under water by myself but I was absolutely nervous the very first time I went in. I signed up for 8 group classes, but because of my schedule and the pandemic, I have been the only adult taking the class every time except for one class. Everyone is very nice and both the instructors I've had have been very patient and understanding. They have taught me invaluable techniques to be able to swim. Am I an expert swimmer? No, but with the technics I have been taught I feel so much more confident in the water. It takes practice. I will most definitely take more lessons once my schedule opens up again. I know so much more now than 7 lessons ago. Facilities are clean and they have proper equipment, pool is heated and indoors. They have cameras with tv's outside so parents can see their children while they swim. Everything is more geared towards children, but they have lots of different programs for adults as well. Such as training, military and so on. I am glad I decided to take the leap. I would certainly recommend David's Swimming School to anyone.

The facility is well kept, the hours are flexible and extend into the mid-evening, and the pricing is very reasonable. I only pay about $3 per visit, which makes it an excellent value overall. To think of the Tennis Club of Ft Lauderdale as merely being club is to miss the mark. More than a…read moreclub, it is in fact an entire community with the love of tennis being its focus. People live here. It has condo housing allowing people not only to live with their favorite sport but to share that love of tennis with others who also share that dedicated love. It has 20 well maintained clay tennis courts, hosts three national tennis tournaments as well as various United States Tennis Association junior and adult competitions. It also has a swimming pool, up to date fully complete gym, calendars of social activities, a main club house, courtside patio bar serving up everything from vegetarian salads to meatloaf, a tennis institute dedicated to the skills of championship development, a complete pro staff, and a second floor indoor bar and with club dining hall. The best thing about the club is that it is open to the public without charge. Though there is a guarded gate, the guard is more to keep track of those entering and to provide informational services than to prevent entry. I was there for the purpose of a special function dinner. Hence, I may not have had the food that is generally served. So without deducting or adding any star points will only say that they put on a good buffet table of appetizers and though I can't rave about my main course of pork chops, found it adequate.

We recently visited Coral Springs Aquatic Complex to have our children evaluated for swim levels…read more Both of our girls have been taking swimming lessons at the YMCA for several years, so we wanted to see how their skills would be evaluated according to this facility's level system. It was interesting to learn that swim levels can vary quite a bit between different programs, so the assessment was helpful. The staff was polite and the pool itself looked nice. However, the registration process is extremely difficult. There are only a few groups available for preschool-age children, and we were told that people sometimes arrive as early as 5:30 AM and wait in line, and even then may not get a spot. We were also told that after the preliminary assessment, younger preschoolers can register online. We completed the assessment in September, but the earliest available registration was not until October. We had a less successful experience when we brought our older daughter for her assessment on another day. We were told that the pool was closed because of a thunderstorm in the area. What was confusing was that the weather around us was completely clear at the time. We were given a QR code to check when the lightning warning would end. It initially showed about 30 minutes, so we decided to wait. Then the estimated time was extended for another 30 minutes, and eventually we had to leave. Unfortunately, my husband ended up being late for work because of the unexpected wait. The building itself is quite old and not particularly impressive from the outside. When we visited, the facility was also surprisingly empty, although that may simply have been the time of day. Overall, the pool is good, the staff is friendly, and the assessment was useful. But finding a spot in the swim program feels much harder than it should be. With children who already have years of swimming experience, we are simply trying to find a consistent program that works for our family and surprisingly, that has turned out to be the hardest part.

Scott, a really nice life guard, told us we had to get out of the pool but we could get vouchers to return. The same lady told us we had to wait 30 minutes. We did. It was still pouring so we went back in for the voucher. She totally ignored us, working away at her computer. After 5 minutes of just standing there we left without the voucher.
