This is such a clean and cool place to take the kids. We was invited to a party and we had a blast. This is a good place for infants and parents to get your kids comfortable with water & the pool. The staff is attentive, professional and respectful. They provide life jackets and you can bring other pool stuff with you. They lawn chairs and umbrellas too. They allow you to bring snacks. They have a water slide and swimming classes. Cool place

Super cute spot to hang, swim, enjoy a slide, watch swimming competitions and more all under the protection of lifeguards. There's a small entry fee and comes with free swimming floats if needed for the little ones. There are bathrooms and a family bathroom. They have a park upon the driving into this recreation facility for those who rather play then swim. There is also a hut available to rent if you'd like a fun pool party day. My niece and nephew enjoyed the kiddie pool with water fixtures, slides and more and then hit up the slide untill closing time. Also provided is shaded seating and lounge chairs. They face the kiddie pool so it's perfect to have eyes facing your kids. The kids really enjoyed their time here and went twice in one weekend!

Great water park for children up to 13-ish. It's not huge, but just right. There is a sprayground, 1 medium slide (height limit 48") and a large pool which is sectioned off in two. One side for kiddies to swim in (3ft) and the other to do laps with lanes. You must do laps in the lanes but there is a section to the far end that you can just swim around in that's about 6'3" deep. Enough seating area for the size of the park with a few umbrellas, first come first serve basis. A large pavilion that you can rent out for parties. There is a concession stand, but I am not sure what they sell and the prices as it was closed when we went. I did see one vending machine by the bathrooms that had water and sodas. There are also free lifejackets that you can use for the children. The spray ground is not big, but just the right size for children to have fun in with lots of water spraying everywhere and little slides for the children to enjoy. The water areas are fenced off to stop people from jumping in. Lifeguards on duty and sure that you adhere to the rules of the park. look at their website for park hours as they do close for an hour during the day, and admission fees. It's no more than $4.50 depending on if you are a Tamarac resident or not. Plenty of parking and in a nice area. There is also a decent size playground outside that children can enjoy as well. We went on a Sunday around 2:30 and there was hardly anyone there. If you want to enjoy a day with your children, nieces or nephews and not have all the hustle and bustle of a crowded park, then this is the place for you.!

We came to visit for the first time on a weekday. The water park has two shifts. The first shift starts at 10:30 to 1:30 and the second one starts at 2:30 until 6:00. It wasn't crowded, not expensive and the kids had a blast. We will definitely come back.

Adults using kids slide and life savers not telling them anything, umbrellas not well positioned, bugs in water and no food or music.

As for the pool area, I haven't used it yet, but it's reassuring to see a lifeguard always on duty.

Then looked at my nine year old niece and made a really nasty face like she was really annoyed. She then asked us to sign in..not in a friendly way..she just shoved the clipboard at us and said "sign" and walked away. We were there 10 minutes and it started to pour rain. Scott, a really nice life guard, told us we had to get out of the pool but we could get vouchers to return. The same lady told us we had to wait 30 minutes. We did. It was still pouring so we went back in for the voucher. She totally ignored us, working away at her computer. After 5 minutes of just standing there we left without the voucher. Money wasted, rude front office employee...don't waste your money here.

I understand though that it's due to reopen soon, with new decks and some other upgrades. The pools and dive well speak for themselves as top notch training/teaching facilities, but the fitness center is also a little gem, which has stayed open throughout. This is NOT a fashion gym - no cute color schemes or posing bodybuilders (although you may -like I was! - be exercising next to an Olympic champion who is also just there for the work-out), and no one is intruding into your routine. That's what I love about it: it's a place for everyone, with no judgment, no airs, and every age and body type you can imagine, just trying to stay fit and healthy. Lots of machines and free weights, you can contract with a trainer if you want, and it's inexpensive. Best of all it's never crowded. Can't wait to see everything finished!

I took my children here recently to try out some new playgrounds while in the area. Two playgrounds…read moresit next to and behind this community's rec center and pool area. Parking is ample, free and shaded. The first playground is designed for smaller children and is designed as a sailboat. A small rock wall, pretend boat helm and two-tiered design appealed to both of my kids (1 and 3). A tiny 'hill' beyond this is the playground for older kids. There were a couple of cool features on the lower levels. Both playgrounds are connected by a sidewalk that continues on in a few different directions - around a lake and through tennis courts. Across from the sidewalks are large fields that I assume are used for soccer, due to the goals. My kids ran around in the mid-length grass/weeds trying to catch dragonflies. The field is very far from the road so it was nice for them to run around without needing to worry. We spotted different kinds of birds and a family of ducks far away. We did walk through the courts (2 tennis and 1 basketball, at least) to another part of a water body (Lake Charleston? No clue!). I was pretty nervous about alligators being that close to the water. We came to a tiny dock that was so covered in bird poop that it was uninhabitable. I didn't see any signs about alligators, but I don't think I'd walk my kids around that part again without a stroller. I'm not sure if it was just a windy day, but these are kind of 'waterfront' playgrounds and definitely received nice breezes. They were also shady with benches and altogether pleasant. Although not fenced, the far proximity from roads is nice and feels protected. The bathrooms are located outside but on the other side of the rec center (not near the playgrounds). They were remarkably nice and clean. We only encountered one other young child here briefly. Otherwise, when I arrived, the smaller playground was being used by a fitness class (for adults), and the larger one was being used by 3 teenagers.
