This has quickly become a family favorite ever since it opened. It's crazy but we've had streaks of coming here weekly haha. There isn't a lot of dedicated parking in the immediate front of the restaurant so you might have to park a little outward. The restaurant itself is well kept. There are clean restrooms, booths, and tables. Well lit and nice décor. They recently added some outdoor tables and string lighting about a month or so ago. My one star deduction is for the service :/ It is painstakingly slow. The waiters are nice but possibly need to be more coordinated. Sometimes you'll have to ask for things like silverware, raita (yogurt based green sauce), etc twice. Also if you plan on getting tea afterwards BE SURE to order it at least 15 minutes early...they make it fresh so it takes some time. I actually really appreciate that most everything seems to be made right after you order so if you feel your stomach churning in hunger waiting, the food will at least be fresh :) Any issues with the service will most likely be offset by the AMAZING prices and taste. A plate of very well-flavored chicken biryani is $2.99; yes, there might only be 2 small pieces of meat but the flavors are great. The naan isn't greasy at all and pull-apart soft! If you decide to get kabobs, I would suggest two links per person. If you're really hungry or a meathead maybe throw in another. The raita they make is the perfect accompaniment for any of their dishes. (As I mentioned before you'll have to ask for raita because the servers sometimes forget to bring it out.) The gyros sandwich is pretty good also. The flavor has a kick to it and there's a really good orange sauce in it that is similar to thousand island dressing. The meat is very thinly sliced. The other item that I like a lot are the samosas! If you come by for an afternoon snack, they go excellent with their tea! The tea is PERFECT. Hot and frothy, it has the aroma of cardamom and cloves. If you're experiencing any heartburn from anything spicy, the mango lassi is pretty good also! The prices are CRAZY. It's so cheap that I felt like we were ordering random things haha! The four of us ordered a lot, were stuffed, and even had a small piece of kabob and biryani leftover...total tab $28!!! A popular halal desi restaurant accompanied by a grocery store, this BBQ and Curry focused location become increasingly well known due to its introduction of CHEAP biryani some years back. (Currently $2 to-go, $3 sit-down) They've kept their customers with value and a buffet that shows every so often, especially during Ramadan. The staff here are polite, but quiet. Often more comfortable speaking Urdu, you won't find particular issues with them as an English-speaker, but don't expect to have much warm conversation. Otherwise, they keep the restaurant generally clean (usually) and are adequate in their roles. The food is the real attraction here, deservedly, due to its quality for the price. It's not the most flavorful in town, but it's enjoyable and for ~$35, a family of 4 can eat comfortably here. The only downside if during slower or later times, they have a tendency to run out of items, so it's good to call ahead. Overall, this place is a great visit for most, but really pings well with students due to its value and welcoming atmosphere. Wasn't sure what rating to give this place because of the things we did get to try, the food was good (but nothing extraordinary). However, we went on a Tuesday I think and half of their menu items were not available. I've never been to an Indian/Pakistani restaurant that didn't have lassi available! Add to that the fact that the guy there didnt seem to be bothered at all to take our order or have anything to do with us, it was a really off putting experience. He disappeared for long stretches and we had to call him from the back when we needed him - the restaurant was empty aside from us. I hear their Sunday buffet is good but not sure we'll be going by to try it out. read more

Hands down the best Pakistani food I've had so far in Dallas. Everything tastes flavorful, not too oily, and everything from the biryani to the aloo palak to the kababs, everything is a 5/5! Service is great and this was the first desi restaurant to have proper utensils and plates! Everywhere else uses plastic spoons and plates. We were a big group of 7 so we had a lot of food to order. Bihari kabab were melt in your mouth. We also tried the paya. What I love about this place is everything is made fresh to order. They go out of their way to accommodate all your needs and truly want you to enjoy your experience. read more

Went there last week and ordered chicken tikka, goat karahi and seekh kabab. Tikka was old and dry, karahi was lamb in over cooked tomato paste and kabab also had too much garam masala. Worst of all was the service. I went to the counter to order and to pay. The guy who served us didn't talk. Just brought the food to us and left with straight face. No condiments at all. We had my brothers graduation party and dinner here. The staff was very nice, and accommodated everything perfectly. Food and environment was great for our party just how we wanted. It was perfect. Visited this place. Food was tasty but serving was very small. They really need to adjust the serving and pricing. Naan served to us was Raw. Like flour was sticking to fingers. Staff is friendly and good. The high chairs they have doesn't latch the way they need to be. Middle strap was broken. We saw 2 infant sliding from the child seat. They need to fix them immediately or they may end up in really bad legal trouble one day. Would I go there again? Not sure. read more

My first visit to a restaurant in US. Had some craving for biriyani and been here since being close to me and for the good rating on Yelp. The first surprise to me was it being a Pakistani restaurant. I Still prepared my self to eat and ordered a chicken biriyani. It wasn't spicy, it wasn't that tasty. Just seems more oily. Called my order in at 1:07 and they said it would be ready in 35-40 minutes. Got there at 2:05 and they told me 2 minutes and it will be out. Every time I asked they said "just 2 minutes" it 2:17 and they finally have my order out 1 hour and 15 minutes later. I ordered 5 chicken biryanis and 1 lahori chatkhari and they gave me the this small container of raita so I ask for some more raita and he says it's gonna cost 20 cents extra. So you're telling me you made me wait 10 extra minutes even after the order was suppose to be ready half an hour ago, and you can't give me the amount of raita I'm supposed to get. I have been here for lunch and it was great. Tonight I came here and was treated to a dinner. Not only was the food fresh, flavorful, exciting and plentiful, but the service was excellent and kind. When I left, the owner came running after me with a takeout bag and wanted us to take food home at no charge. Highly recommended on all fronts. read more

If you're any race but Indian- READ THIS. These people are absolutely horrible in terms of customer service and they are completely blatant in their discrimination to absolutely everyone. We went to order 15 naan bread and he said it would take 45 minutes even after we protested how long it should take to make naan. However, thinking they do deliveries or something else that could've taken up their time I left, but as soon as I came back 5 minutes later to discuss how that time line doesn't make sense when they DONT do deliveries and how I wanted a refund- all of a sudden he said it would be ready in 10 minutes max. Additionally, one of the employees who worked elsewhere prior to working here also recommended we just go somewhere else across the street in the future.... like how awful must you be to have your own employee never to come back? But it doesn't end there- on another visit, after an HOUR LONG WAIT TO GET OUR FOOD, my friend (who's Black) asked for Tiki Masala to go but the man up front insisted they had no more..... as we then saw 5 other families ask for the same thing to go and they received some. I attended a meeting tonight that Plano Village Restaurant catered. Everything was delicious! The mixed vegetables tasted so fresh and the rice was light and fluffy with a nice variety of vegetables to add color and texture. I didn't try the rice pudding dessert, but my friends said it was tasty without being too sweet. The staff was so courteous and the food was displayed in beautiful chaffing dishes. I look forward to going back with my family and trying other dishes on their menu. read more

Today was my third visit to this restaurant for Dinner. I love good food that is not too expensive but very clean and tasty. Plano Village restaurant fits that bill perfectly. The place is very clean, neat, with real china and silverware, waiters, table service of fresh hot tasy Indo pak food. The prices are unbeatable and quality of food is consistently excellent. Today I tried Chicken Seekh Kabab and was surprised it was better than Chicken Fajitas in a very good TexMex restaurant. The fresh hot Naan bread is just a buck. Chicken biryani is real biryani and not rice stirred with some sauce like in other indo pak places. Price of it is was too low and that is why I waited till I ate 3 times to write a review. The butter chicken today was a bit sweet and watery but was much better previous visit. If you are looking for a great eat-in or takeout for real indo pak tasy food this is the place to visit in Plano TX. I wish it remains as great as it is now for years to come. Yummmmmm. read more
