I recently went to this Halal restaurant for the first time. Price is expensive for the quantity you get, but most of all, they apply sneaky charge without telling customers or asking for their permission when paying by card. We ordered chicken biryani and tastewise, it was okay and nothing special. $14.99 for a small size of biryani, specially chicken, is a lot in my opinion compare to others around the same area. What I didn't like is the sneaky illegal charge (hence low rating) of $0.50 if paying by card but without telling the customer or asking for their permission. They think that no customers check their receipt and they can sneak in whatever charge they want. This is true majority of the time, but this time they got caught with me because I am very familiar with these businesses, their sneaky tactics, and have always checked my receipt. If you look at my attached receipt, my total should have been $16.23 ($14.99 + 8.25% ($1.24) tax). However, as you can see in the attached receipt, I was charged $16.72! No explanation of that extra $0.50. How is this legal? How come I was not explained about this extra charge before charging me and asked if I still want to continue with the card or not? Maybe I would have paid with the cash had I knew about it! Think how many transactions they do on a daily basis and how many times they have done this illegal transactions and ripped off customers! Of course, extra $0.50 is not much for the majority of the customers but for the business it does add up at the end of the day! I really don't care that this extra charge is maybe going towards the vendor of the card processor, but why not advertised it clearly. How hard and difficult is it? What is going on and wrong with these businesses? This is really getting ridiculous and out of control! So frustrating and disappointing that there were no signs or any verbal communications about this additional charge prior to or after payment! How is this even legal when you don't advertise these charges, don't tell customers about these charges, and then just charge without customer's permission and then just hand over the receipt as if nothing has happened! Unfortunately, not many customers check their receipt and some don't even ask for the receipt let aside checking for the correct transaction amount. These businesses taking full advantage of those type of customers and just cashing in. Again, how hard is it for the business to be honest, transparent and clearly advertise with a sign if there will be any type of additional charge on top of the menu price? If putting a signage is a problem then how about training cashier and have them tell the customer clearly if they will be responsible for any additional charges. As I have aforementioned, had I knew about the additional credit card charges maybe I would have paid with the cash! In my opinion, there should NOT be any additional charges, beside the applicable taxes, and all "hidden" charges should be added in the menu price or just clearly advertised it. It is expensive for EVERYONE and not just for businesses. It is really not fair for these businesses to rip off customers with their hidden sneaky tactics like this! If they can't afford to take credit cards transaction then just don't take it. Hopefully this business will pay attention to my review and fixed this issue and will be transparent to the customers when it comes to payment. If not, then I will have no choice but to file a complaint with the applicable enforcement office(s) regarding these unauthorized charges. Businesses like these do make extra money in short amount of time, but they don't realize how quickly others have failed and closed down when they were doing the same thing. read more

My uncle has been casually stalking this restaurant for WEEKS. Every-time we would drive by there would be a slight anticipatory mention of "that's the new Pakistani spot".. it was starting to become a joke in our household so when it was finally announced on social media that they were opening their doors, you bet I stood by the phone to make a reservation and put our foot in the first chance I got. My first impression of this place is how large the dining hall is. I love the elaborate details into the wall decorations, the careful placement of table mats, high quality cutlery and plates gives the whole restaurant an upscale feeling. We had an absolutely lovely iftar here today and there were so many highs that deserve praise. First of all this iftar buffet was very special elaborate. All types of fried goodies, fruit and drinks and chaat selection was available. The fruit platter was especially nice. I really appreciated the succulent blackberries. There were so many varieties of entrees, and vegetarian options like daal makhni and palak paneer in addition to two types of karahi, different types of grilled meats as well as two rice dishes, curries and naan. I especially enjoyed their kheer which was rich and decadent and the best kheer I've had in a minute. The ghulab jamun was soft and sublime, and the custard with jello was a nice departure for those of us who aren't crazy about a traditional desi dessert. I really think the iftar buffet was executed phenomenally. My only complaint would be that the food did seem to go cold quickly or is probably just not set at a super hot temperature.. perhaps this is something they should work on. Otherwise this is a lovely new restaurant at a busy intersection of Plano serving the local desi community. We were forced to visit without a reservation tonight, chaand raat and they were still able to find a table for us with a full house. They only had the buffet available, $31 for 8 and older. A bit expensive but the buffet was definitely very expansive. The variety was there ! We all enjoyed the ambiance, the service and the food a lot ! read more

Too many better options out there in Dallas. Very poorly run, waiting for nearly an hour for food. Could definitely use a wipe down, everything was sticky. Absolutely delicious! Loved every single item we tried. We ordered the nihari, garlic naan, beef seekh kabob and bbq chicken platter. We also tried their mango lassi, mint margarita and rabri kheer. EVERYTHING WAS AMAZING! Service was 10/10 which is rare for Pakistani food spots. The ambiance and decor were nice. Can't wait to come back and try more items from their menu! read more

Tried lunch here for the first time. They do not have a lunch buffet and only a limited lunch menu. The service and food were both good. The interior is divided into one section with comfortable booths suitable for lunch. The other section is glassed off with a more formal layout for dinner. It looks like a very pleasant environment and the music was muted. Easy to have a conversation. The menu is extensive for dinner and I fully intend to go back for dinner and/or get takeout to try the menu. I'm surprised at the low overall star rating but it's interesting that the two bad scores appear to be personal pique and not a critique of the food or the service. Went to this restaurant with family tonight with the understanding today being Eid that it would be busy. We had made reservations a day before, but when we go to the restaurant they could not find our reservation. Ordering food took a long time, even had to ask a couple of times for water. Our order did not show up for almost 50 minute, finally one of the staff acknowledged that our order did not get put in and it would be another 40 more so. We just left. Scam! I picked up a single order that was almost $40! They charged me an additional $4 for chicken and an additional $2 hidden fee that was not even shown on the receipt! Small tea was $3! Small dessert was $8! $8 for a small dessert?! Wtf?! 20% tip was automatically added. For one combo I ended up paying $80! Total ripoff! I wouldn't even pay half this price because the food is so bad! They have the cheapest meat and ingredients and the food is bland and tasteless. I do not recommend this place.
