My uncle has been casually stalking this restaurant for WEEKS. Every-time we would drive by there would be a slight anticipatory mention of "that's the new Pakistani spot".. it was starting to become a joke in our household so when it was finally announced on social media that they were opening their doors, you bet I stood by the phone to make a reservation and put our foot in the first chance I got. My first impression of this place is how large the dining hall is. I love the elaborate details into the wall decorations, the careful placement of table mats, high quality cutlery and plates gives the whole restaurant an upscale feeling. We had an absolutely lovely iftar here today and there were so many highs that deserve praise. First of all this iftar buffet was very special elaborate. All types of fried goodies, fruit and drinks and chaat selection was available. The fruit platter was especially nice. I really appreciated the succulent blackberries. There were so many varieties of entrees, and vegetarian options like daal makhni and palak paneer in addition to two types of karahi, different types of grilled meats as well as two rice dishes, curries and naan. I especially enjoyed their kheer which was rich and decadent and the best kheer I've had in a minute. The ghulab jamun was soft and sublime, and the custard with jello was a nice departure for those of us who aren't crazy about a traditional desi dessert. I really think the iftar buffet was executed phenomenally. My only complaint would be that the food did seem to go cold quickly or is probably just not set at a super hot temperature.. perhaps this is something they should work on. Otherwise this is a lovely new restaurant at a busy intersection of Plano serving the local desi community. I can't wait to return here when it's not Ramadan to try their classic sit-down meal experience. Highly recommended!!

What more can I say? Mid, mid, mid, skip, skip. Food was 3/10. Service was good though.

True Pakistani food. The karai is on point and the mocktails are awesome. We had a great night.

Well luckily I've been inside their shiny marble halls enough time to pass my final verdict. For one, it seems like staff turnover is a concern here, as I often see new staff up front who are unfamiliar with their own menu or promotions while the food gives me an idea of what's going in the back. Which is to say, nothing has ever been consistently good here and there's been many occasions of food that's poorly seasoned, undercooked or simply spoiled. I know they have the ability to do better but is it worth the suffering for the opportunity? My answer is NO. For the markedly above average cost and inconsistent leaning poor quality, this isn't the local institution I would personally advise you to support. (Just FYI: I have had their dinner then brunch buffet multiple times, dined in, taken out and separately ordered delivery through a 3rd party app. I really had high hopes!)

This new Pakistani restaurant is a welcomed addition to growing East Plano food scene. Sandwiched…read morebetween Blue Fig market and Napoli's Italian, I was pretty eager to try them. I am familiar with Indian food so most of the names are recognizable, but the delicious differences are not to be missed! We ordered the lunch special which was $14.99 for 2 meats (one grilled and one in sauce), rice, a small salad of onions and lettuce, and dessert. I believe they specialize in grilled meats, cause the flavor was fantastic! The picture showed rice pudding for dessert but they came out with gulab jamen instead. I was disappointed at first but dang if that wasn't the best version of this I have ever had. I wanted a vegetable also so for the same price of $14.99 I got palak paneer and naan, which was a more earthy, less milky version as well. Naan was also best in class. I don't always love naan cause it can be rubbery. This was excellent. Soft and pillowy. It was so much food that we took it home and had a whole other meal. What a value for $14.99 each! The space is beautiful and though the clientele seems to be mostly Pakistani, they are welcoming to all. Service was a touch slow, but not painful. We still got in and out during our lunch break. I honestly think they just need more customers and so I want everyone to know that it was a new experience for me and I was super happy with the food. Welcome to the neighborhood Grand Tandoori!

I give them the order number. They can't find it. Then they find it with the confirmation number, and say it's $0 without any details on their side. The order was put in 30 minutes before the promised time and 10 minutes passed the time. And you do not call the customer to let them know there is an issue? This is basic customer service skills. I say I am hungry and would just like them to get started on the order and they can figure out the $ in the meanwhile. I even show her the transaction on my credit card. She's says it's "pending transaction" Every transaction is pending the first 2-3 days. She was about to charge me again and I tell her I do not want to be double charged. She goes in the back and figures it out. Does not apologize for the inconvenience. Does not try to make it right for us. Will not be eating here again. I am not surprised this place is empty on multiple occasions I have come. For the business owner, take this as feedback. Food is hit and miss

One took 50 minutes and most recent took longer than an hour (we only ordered two dishes each time). While we like the combo plates, it's only meat. It screams for sauces, rice, maybe some veggies for relief from the meat-fest. Had items missing from orders. Calls to the restaurant about any concerns were basically sidestepped and we felt disregarded. Definitely out of the rotation for any future considerations.
