I ordered a bouquet of flowers for my daughter's birthday. I mentioned during the phone call that I wanted to make the order special, and upgraded the cost from $55 to $80. I requested they add blue to the photo of flowers I selected,, and we agreed on both delphinium and hydrangea. When the order arrived, it was disappointing. There were two sparse delphinium stems (we had not agreed on how many there would be), and 1 huge disproportionately large hydrangea. The rest of the arrangement was inartfully done, and was not at all impressive. The shop manager or designer agreed that the hydrangea was stuck into the side of the arrangement, and even agreed that it looked a bit lopsided. I would have expected a flower designer to spot this and change the look before the product went out as it did. As I was not there to see the hydrangea or delphinium, I would have expected the designer to determine proportion and aesthetics. I would have expected them to use more if the flowers were as sparse as they were...fill in the gaps. Pride did not seem to be a part of the work. I was told they "followed the recipe" which was for 5 roses, 2 lilies, 2 daisies, and 2 astromeria. I was told they gave me 3 lilies, 4 daisies, and 3 astromeria..but the vase was not full, except the side with the oversized hydrangea ($10). Overall, the product looked like I picked the flowers from my garden and didn't know what to do with them. Apparently the "recipe" instructions didn't include directions for reviewing the final product for aesthetics, proportion, or fullness. The order for the flowers, delivered, with 2 balloons and taxes, was over $110. It looked like a grocery store bouquet that would sell for $25-35 at most. Very disappointed. Would not recommend getting your flowers from this florist. I ordered a bouquet for Mother's Day through Ava's Flowers who in turn chose this florist. Had ordered the bouquet to be delivered on Mother's Day. Didn't happen. So they went ahead and delivered the next day. That is unacceptable. What's even more unacceptable is the fact that the driver didn't even bother knocking at the door or the doorbell and left the flower arrangement hidden out of sight in front of my mother's house. When I called the phone number that called my mother, the driver answered and bold faced lied to me saying no one was home, when my mother was in fact at home waiting for the delivery. My daughter and I used Plano Florist for her wedding flowers. We spent over $1,200 on flowers and the only portion that was correct was the $200 portrait bouquet that was a month before the wedding. It was perfect and so we just thought that the rest would be perfect - NOT SO!!! Specific items that were NOT to be used were glitter, rhinestones, lilies and baby's breath. ALL of these were in abundance in the wedding flowers! I wanted so badly to just throw all of them in the garbage when I arrived at the church to find my daughter crying because they were wrong! I went back to the business on Monday with some of the flowers to show them what we had. The owner did not apologize, offer to make some financial restitution, put flowers in our church - they are the normal florist for the church - or anything! I feel CHEATED that there was NO quality control to make sure that the flowers were perfect! The lilies and baby's breath caused an allergic reaction in my daughter causing her to be sick! NEVER EVER AGAIN! I only gave a 1 because I can't go lower, but the flowers were at least flowers, but that's about it. I had ordered there about 3 years ago, and now know why it's been three years. I'll get to the product in a minute, but the customer service is a negative 10. I wish I knew her name, but she sounded older, at least 50+ - RUDE RUDE RUDE. not customer friendly at all. Ok, yes, I called early morning the day before Valentine's Day, for that days' delivery--not on V-day. 1. Usually they ask you to hold on for another call, but annoying ringing of other phones close by are so distracting and even more so when they keep putting you on hold. 2. Entire call I felt rushed, and that they person on the other end was disconnected (mentally) from helping me. 2. I admitted that I didn't know if they had a website and was looking for recommendations. If I were there in front of her, I'd say she would have had a blank stare going on. Ok, I guess I have to drive and ask what I want, when I wanted help. 3. I had told her I looked elsewhere online, but didn't want a box type delivery that all the online places have now become. I wanted a real looking flower display with vase, etc. And delivered by them, not FEDEX. She then started repeating what she all too often would say (annoying so), "we only use professionals for our flowers." I'd ask another question on size, flower type, etc. "We only use professionals for our flowers." For a minute I thought I was talking to customer support in India. Really!? 4. I told her I was torn between roses and some different flowers. Again, no help there. She repeated her phrase again. I ultimately settled on "mixed" flowers vs. roses...not for price as it was about the same. HOWEVER, the medium bouquet ordered was more like a small and no less better than what you could get at a local grocery chain that has their own florist, and for about $30. I spent $75 when I could have ordered an amazon dozen roses had I known what I'd be getting. What a let down. 5. I asked if they had add-ons like chocolates, etc. She said yes. Great! She mentioned truffles. I'm thinking gourmet like every other V-day person touting their goods. I asked for price. $25 for a pound and $35 for 2 pounds. Expensive, but not considering the weight compared to other "gourmet" goods out there. Well, how impersonal of a gift when it's pre-packaged rubbish (complete with net wt on the package). Not like you'd get in a personal touch gift elsewhere. For $35 I could have someone / anyway, make me fresh chocolate and delivery included. 6. As for the delivery. When I first called, I said before ordering I need it today before 4pm. She said not a problem. I finished my order, she took my credit card, charged me, then told me the total. Yes, I had a rough idea, but c'mon, common courtesy like 99.99% of the other places out there, tell your customer the total before charging them. 7. $75 for a joke of a medium bouquet (roses demand that price--even then). $35 for totally impersonal chocolates you could pickup at the store. I feel like my girlfriend probably thinks I was a cheapskate, but I spend $135!!! $15 for delivery too. Oh, and the email receipt I was promised, never happened. 8. Let's get to delivery. Ok, I ordered first thing in the morning and they don't get delivered till the end of the day? You don't hire extra help on major flower day? Hec, I can order a pizza and have it in $30 minutes for $2.50 delivery charge, yet I give you $15, for what??? You should be making 2 to 4 trips at least on v-day week. Oh, and the 2nd email delivery confirmation I was promised--only happened when I called back the 3rd time asking about status (and got the email within one minute of that last call). 9. I'm not even sure it was delivered at 3:45pm like the email sent. I think they manually sent it to shut me up. I wasn't going to ask girlfriend all about the delivery and ruin what was left of the mood/gift. But she didn't get it until late morning on V-day. So, one of two things happened. A) They didn't get delivered till today, or B) they were delivery but so close to when I said it would not be a good time, GF left work already and/or the reception area didn't get a hold of her in time. So, overall SO VERY disappointed. Customer service is horrific, product ok, but quantity/quality for price charged is ridiculous. And NEVER order add-on chocolates as it's a joke and ridiculously overpriced (gourmet pricing). Did I mentioned horrific customer service? Like you are an inconvenience for calling them. Screw me twice, shame on you, screw me three times, shame on me. So there will never be a third time ordering here for me--ever. read more

I had a bad experience ordering flowers online through Teleflora when my order was filled by another florist in Las Colinas. Teleflora gave me a credit so I ordered an arrangement for my son ('48 Ford Pick-up keepsake planter with flowers - pic above). This time the order was filled by Plano Florist and it was super cute! They arrived the same day I ordered them and the delivery guy was very friendly. I figured since I wrote a bad review of the other florist, I certainly needed to praise the florist who restored my faith in ordering flowers online. I am posting this on both postings of the Plano Florist pages because I am unsure which one is the "official" Yelp page for the business. I ordered flowers for my Girlfriend for Valentine's Day. (Disclaimer: I did not wait until the day of and expect same day delivery) Spent $90 on the flowers and delivery. I left fairly detailed instructions to ensure successful delivery and made sure to include my GF phone number in case any issues happened. I called at 12:20PM on Valentine's Day asking the status of the delivery. All I was told was the flowers were out on a delivery truck and they had no idea where the truck was on the delivery route. At around 3:00PM I called again asking about the delivery. Explaining the work day was almost over and the flower delivery was becoming more pointless he later in the day it got. I was told they didn't know anything because they couldn't get ahold of the driver. I called at 4:00PM asking again about delivery. I was told the driver called and said they were headed to my GF place of business next. I asked them to make sure because she leaves work soon. They were unable to reach the driver again. At 4:45PM my girlfriend gets off work clueless to the whole scenario. I call her to ruin the surprise and ask if she heard anything from anyone. She tells me she has not received any phone calls or heard anything about flower delivery. I immediately call the flower shop. Who tells me that the driver showed up, called my GF and got no answer, so she assumed she had gone home for the day already and left. When I asked what remedy she had for the situation she offered to deliver them tomorrow. No discount or anything until I asked. Which at that point she offered to refund the $15 delivery fee. After talking to my GF she said she did not want them tomorrow and to just cancel the order obviously disappointed. At 5:58PM my GF received a call from a delivery driver saying they were there to deliver flowers but it looks like no one is here. Th clinic my GF works at closes at 5:00. That's why it seemed like no one was there. The driver again offered to deliver the next day with no mention of compensation or discount for all of the trouble. My GF informed the driver I had already canceled the order. Throughout the whole situation I spoke to a lady named Doris mostly. She was polite but absolutely no help throughout the situation. She offer no solution or any sort of compensation for the entire fiasco other than delivery on the day after Valentine's Day, again for the full price until I asked and she annoyingly offered free delivery. She went as far to insinuate that either I or my GF lied about not receiving the phone call. Which I found extremely rude. All in all. I will not be buying flowers from this establishment again. I went to Kroger after work, received far superior customer service, product and much much more for my money. read more

Last florist I will ever use. The two women behind the counter helped me out tremendously. It was Valentine's Day, I was at work in downtown Dallas till 4:15, they close at 5. Got stuck in traffic until 4:55, Got there at 5:02, walked in a nervous wreck, and they told me, "Don't worry, we wouldn't leave until you got your flowers." They took another look at me and gave me a card, a balloon, and a box of chocolates. After the stress of that day, them giving me peace of mind and being so kind, I got choked up and had to leave. I get very anxious during holidays because I don't want to disappoint my girlfriend of 2 years. She has little to no expectations of me, all she wanted was flowers. I ordered flowers last week for a memorial service. I am not from the Dallas area so I was trying to find a florist who was close to the venue where the memorial was being held. The flowers delivered were gorgeous. The price was very competitive with other florists in the area. I wasn't sure of the room where the memorial was being held and they took care of all of that for me. I am very pleased with the service. I am not giving 5 stars only because I asked that the delivery be done closer to the start time of the memorial which was 6:30. I received an email confirmation at 2:30 PM saying that the flowers had been delivered. read more

As a fool in love, I decided to shower her with flowers - two roses with intertwined stems in a bud vase, on the 8th of every month for the ret of the year. I called in Feb. and to date, each order was fulfilled on time and with a unique and creative arrangement - different then the previous delivery so each month is a new experience. I also gave Plano Florist the freedom to decide the color of roses - each month is as much a surprise to me as it is to my love. And I am from the North East - a Connecticut Yankee ! I am very happy with the product and the service, as well as the customer relationship that has developed - so much so that I will order the same for next year too! read more

Where to start!! I ordered my GF flowers for her 50th, (sort of a big event). Ordered on Wednesday for delivery on Thursday just to make sure they got there before her Bday on Friday. Where she worked was having some construction done and they had one door blocked off, 3 other doors they could have tried but were to lazy. They called me and asked if they could deliver Friday, I said ok. Called them back twice on Friday and so did my GF, they said they couldn't get a hold of their driver/shop. They were never delivered and i NEVER received a call back. Can't understand them anyway, like calling customer service on your Dell computer!! So, What i figured out is this is just a service that coordinates things, they don't do anything but call a local shop and build their fee in and don't do shit. I very strongly urge everyone to stay away from Plano Florist! I had them send some flowers to several people a few years ago, and now they will NOT stop sending me what they call "Friendly Birthday Reminders" to send flowers to people I no longer have any contact with, including an ex-girlfriend and an ex-wife, despite my repeated requests, both by telephone and by e-mail, that they "please delete my contact information and previous purchases" from their records! I have now had to threaten them with legal action if they do not stop harassing me! If you choose to have them send flowers for you, you do so at your own risk! read more

To be fair, they probably have as good of flowers as anyone. Also, they seem to be quite nice on the phone. Never had a problem with deliveries. The one-star is the rating I give to any business that retains my phone number so they can call me in the middle of the day to tell me my wife's birthday is coming up and I might want to have some flowers sent to her. Ugh, horribly mis-managed. I'm in Los Angeles, ordered from here for my sister who just had a baby in a Plano hospital, and this is the second time they screwed up the order. This time, it never arrived. I had to call, they said sorry but they got a big funeral order in, and it's going to be delayed another day! I called and placed an order for a corsage for prom. I picked out a picture from online. Went to pick it up and it was completely different. Was told the flowers were out of season. FYI, The flowers were blush pink color and were replaced with purple and dark pink. Not even close. The One I picked online had ribbon and told me ribbon would bug the girl. My complaint is that if you have a picture online and the customer picks it. That's what they wanted. So. Buyer beware if you order online... You may not get what you wanted. I ordered flowers from Plano Florist for a funeral service for one of our employees' relatives. I must admit I did a search for florists near the church where the services were to be held and Plano Florist came up on the search engine. I must say, my experience from the moment Doris answered the phone to the time my order was completed was great. She was thoughtful, helpful and very efficient. My order was placed just hours before the church closed for the day and Doris managed to get my ordered delivered before the church's closing. That in itself was amazing. When the employee returned to work, she told me how everyone commented on the beautiful the arrangement, how much it meant to the family and that everyone, including the church, wanted that arrangement. I only wish I had a picture of what was sent because apparently it was really something. Thank you, Doris, for making a difference. You, your designers and delivery personnel definitely went that extra mile and it is greatly appreciated. I only wish you serviced the entire DFW area because I would definitely use you for all my flower occasions. You're the BEST!!!!! read more

Terrible, terrible, terrible business. The employees are rude. They don't understand how to use their cash registers. They don't know how to treat customers. The employees are absent minded. I ordered 30 roses in person, and they did not know how to properly perform a transaction. They called customer service, when I tried to help them they were rude, ignored me, and referred to me as a nuisance on the phone in front of me. They are very disrespectful and I would NEVER recommend this place to anyone. The person who finally performed my transaction left, while I was still there, and overcharged me by a hundred dollars. I had to wait even for a refund, from another employee, which also took longer than usual. I have worked as a cashier, have worked in retail and with small businesses, I'm saying this for the betterment of businesses and individuals: STAY AWAY. At first this florist MARY was amazing, gave me a quote made me feel awesome about doing business with her. Then after a month goes by, I am ready too book with her. I wanted to see about a re-quote and to talk about doing some different flowers and all hell breaks loose. I call in and talk to the receptionist wont mention her name even though I should! She tells me that Mary can't see anyone until after valentines day. Which is fine, but my next question was "well what do I do? Because I want to book her, can I just come in and talk to someone else?" The receptionist puts me on hold, then Mary comes on the line and rudely tells me in an angry voice " I cant see you until after valentines day so if you need to go find another florist go ahead but I cant see you until after valentines," I was just blown away with how rude she was to me on the phone I told her "Fine, ill come get my vase and acorns from you then" she said "fine" and hung up the phone. Keep in mind that my Fiance even did some tech work for them to try and help them out with their printers. Of course we thought they were amazing for giving us a discount for that, but after being talked to like that for doing nothing wrong. I wouldn't recommend them to the rats in the street. I feel sorry for them because I am in customer service and that was not good or even nice customer service. Please if you do go through them be careful with what you say, and don't let them walk on you or speak to you like you are nothing and nobody. I received flowers from Plano Florist and after a few days I noticed that most of the flowers weren't opening and starting to turn brown already. I had Lilly's and yellow roses. I called the florist after one week just to ask why that would happen. Doris told me that she didn't know and asked if I was adding water daily...DUH! Keep in mind, I wasn't asking for anything, only information. Doris went on to tell me that there was nothing she could do about it because most people would have called within a couple of days. Well, excuse me but I was waiting for my flowers to open not knowing that they wouldn't! I hung up with Doris and then pulled up their website where I noticed their 10 day guarantee. I called Doris back and asked her about it and she said again, there was nothing she could do and that if I had let here know one or two days after receiving the flowers, she could go back on the grower...really? I then asked for the owners name and through her hesitation she provided it so I asked for Ms. Mary, the owner to call me but wouldn't you know, she never did.
