Well this review cannot possibly do it justice, but I am going to try. I reached out the day before my mom had a really intense surgery. I informed her that my mom would be in the hospital for several days and I wanted her to have something to make the room feel feel a little more warm. I said "my mom likes funky. - and something that will last a while." Boy did she deliver. I never thought that someone could go this above and beyond for a person they have never even met. I called Mia Fiori for flowers for my daughter's birthday since I live in LA and she is in McKinney, Texas. I knew my options would be limited but thought this seemed to be something close to a creative, more professional florist. I explained that I wanted something really lovely for a 27-year-old girl and wanted to spend about $50-$75 - figuring that was reasonable for the market to get a nice floral arrangement. The owner snipped that I would have to spend at least $75 since the Australian peonies she had were $18 a stem. I said that was fine and we discussed adding in her recommended green hydrangea, Japanese snapdragons, etc. I hung up expecting that a beautiful arrangement would arrive the next day as planned. Well, my daughter just called to thank me for the flowers but seemed less than enthused. I probed a little and found that the some of the flowers were curling on the edges and brown, as were some of the leaves, indicating they were old, and it was clear the woman had just shoved them into the vase. It's nothing to "wrap" the inside of the vase with greenery or vines - something that is no longer a "fancy option" in floral work. It's understandable if this were Teleflora and I spent $40, but $75 on an arrangement should not have yielded something so amateurish. Would not recommend this florist to anyone. read more

I used to frequent their old location several years ago, but a breakup with a significant other and a move across town caused me to lose track of them. I was delighted to recently discover that they've been hiding under my nose in the Shops at Legacy. The owner Alexis is one of the neatest people I've come across in a while. She takes a sincere interest in her customers and their specific needs. So if it's a first date, she asks enough questions to get a feel for the recipient, and if I come back in she always wants to know how the date went and takes that into consideration for the next bouquet! The quality of the products at Mia Fiori come with a slightly higher price tag than your run-of-the-mill FTD franchise, but I'm always impressed by the amount of thoughtful attention that goes into the flower arrangements I've purchased, no matter what my budget is. But in addition to great flowers, Alexis also has an abundance of gifts, keepsakes, home accessories, candles, etc. So it's a great one-stop shop for special occasions ranging from Mother's Day to Valentine's Day, but also a wonderful stop for a fun housewarming gift, a sweet thank you gift, or simply a "thinking of you." Located just off Legacy, near the tollroad, it's conveniently accessible for anyone in the North Plano or Frisco area. There's no excuse for super market flowers. read more

I work nearby and have used Mia Fiori for last minute arrangements for events in-store and have been given birthday and 'I'm Sorry' arrangements from other customers of hers. I've even been given 'Just Because' arrangements from Alexis herself! They're never what you'd expect and they're always gorgeous. They aren't cheap, but I'd rather pay for quality. She also has THE best candles. Alexis is eccentric. She's a true artist. I feel the need to write a good review after reading two negative. She loves what she does and lives for her business. I would not recommend this flower shop for corporate flower deliveries/orders. The owner is very unprofessional. We had flowers delivered for a corporate meeting this week. I tried to give her a corporate credit card number for payment over the phone but she said that she'd send an invoice instead. When she delivered the flowers my team and I helped her carry them to the location which we needed them in the building and she complained the whole time and made us feel terrible for having her deliver...even though that's what we were paying for. She then proceeded to nose around the venue and items in the room and told me that she had googled me and the company that I work for... which was extremely unprofessional and weird! After making a huge scene about how long of a walk she had to take with the flowers (not that long) and how I wasn't making things easy on her she finally left. Our event went well, although extremely chaotic, and I could have done without all of the phone calls asking if I had received my invoice (I hadn't). The following day the event was over and everyone in the company had started heading to the airport and on other business trips so I no longer had access to my boss' corporate card (I don't have one). I've been receiving harassing phone calls and being yelled at over the phone all day today. The owner called me several times yelling at me during a meeting. I wonder if she knows she's not doing anything to get the invoice paid faster that she's just making herself look crazy and unprofessional? Then I get a text demanding that I leave my meeting and pay her... Honestly I'm surprised she has a business if this is the way she treats people. Called the florist on Wednesday and delivery took place on time Thursday. That is why the florist gets the one star rating. Otherwise, the fifteen dollars for delivery charge was not the value of the dozen roses I ordered. Total charge was $86.00 and I would have been happy but when my wife brought her dozen roses home on the same day they were delivered to her office it was obvious the roses were not fresh. I called about TWO WEEKS in advance to make sure the arrangements arrived on time(SATURDAY). The first arrangement was delivered a day earlier than scheduled. The second was also delivered early (I specified a day for a reason), and was left on the front porch. In Dallas. In summer. I would expect a "high end florist" to not leave an expensive arrangement on a porch. It was only when I followed up the next day to make sure they were delivered that I discovered this. (I had received no confirmation that they were delivered). Turns out the person was actually out of town and would not be back for several days (the flowers would be long dead). I had no idea of knowing this and had no idea they would leave flowers outside! They agreed to replace them free of charge only after some haggling, and an agreement to write a "great" review (so here I am). The owner was also extremely rude to both me AND the recipient when trying to schedule redelivery! It was extremely rude and unprofessional for the owner to ask for a great review, so instead I'm writing an HONEST review. Summary: flowers were beautiful, but service and delivery were horrendous (rude, unprofessional, threatening even...). I will DEFINITELY not use them again!! There are several comments in the below response from the owner that are LIES (see uppercase text above). I did not call the day before (I had faith that they would be delivered as requested. I did however call after getting NO confirmation (they did NOT call as stated below). I paid OVER $75 for each arrangement, not the $60 I had originally wanted to spend. I ordered flowers on May 22, 2012 which were delivered to my mother after she was involved in a major car accident. I live in NYC and am not familiar with local florists in Plano but being a small business owner I like to support other small businesses. I did a Google search and found several florists in the area but the reason I chose Mia Fiori was because the website claims that they have "great presentation and daring visions" which led me to believe that the flowers I ordered would be creative and unique, with great presentation. What my mother received was far from that! She sent me pictures of the arrangement and I was highly disappointed. There was absolutely no creativity in the arrangement, nor was the presentation "great". It looks as if a random selection of flowers, whatever the shop had on hand, were thrown together in a vase. After spending $50 plus a $10 delivery fee I would have expected something of higher quality and creativity. This was a "get well" occasion and I requested bright colors and a gorgeous arrangement and hydrangeas, along with a random assortment of other flowers is not what I would call cheerful. I emailed the shop with my compliant which was not even acknowledged - absolutely no apology was offered or any explanation of why the arrangement was put together so poorly. I was trying to do the right thing by supporting a local business and not going the route of FTD but now in hindsight I wish I would have just ordered online, at least that way I would know exactly what I was getting! read more

The owner herself called me back 1 minute after shop opened. That's being on your game. I ordered over phone and spent 175 on the flowers. She had them ready in 1 hour yes I called short notice. When I got there I was pleased as the entire arrangement looked amazing. She even made a suggestion on a candle to add to the order. I live out of state and happened upon this unique flower store by chance. It is by far one of the best floral shops that I have been in. The owner is more than gracious as she treated me like I was her only customer of the day--I was not, but you would never have known it for the time she took with me. I was totally amazed by the one of a kind merchandise she carries. Her merchandise runs from the whimsical to the sophisticated so there really is something for everyone. I was so taken with the store that I ordered flowers to be sent to a friend in Dallas. The friend called and said she was blown away by the beautiful arrangement. This really did make my day.
