Plano Florist will call you at all hours of the night, and continue to do so even after you politely asked them to stop. I have been called from 3 AM to 6:45 AM. Not Pleased At All. I've used Plano Florist for a number of years. This is at least the second time Plano Florist has delivered a substandard arrangement. I placed this order 2 weeks in advance to make certain they would have the flowers needed for the Premium version. I also requested delivery a week before Christmas to try and miss the most busy time. I don't mind paying for a good arrangement, but to pay top dollar and be so completely let down is very disappointing. The flowers delivered were not even up to the level of the Standard Arrangement. My parents ordered me a dozen red roses to be delivered to me on my wedding day. The roses themselves were beautiful but the customer service was terrible. They asked for the roses to be delivered to the hotel at a specific time, they were delivered at the incorrect time, my parents asked for specific things to be on the card, this was also incorrect; they gave my now husband MY last name instead of his when my parents spelled his name out for them. When my dad called them to complain the lady hung up on him. HORRIBLE customer service and a bad way to do business. Get it together. False advertising of "contactless delivery" with no mask. We have used Plano Florist off and on for several years as well as received deliveries many times. We have always been happy with the product and delivery. Unfortunately, I am having trouble shaking my concern about how a delivery of balloons for my son was handled this week and the lack of response when I sent a message to the shop about my concerns. My son was quarantining at home after possible exposure to four cases of Covid-19 in his school group. We knew his grandmother would be sending him balloons today for his birthday so expected a delivery but assumed the delivery person would be wearing a mask and leave them on the porch for contactless delivery as all other deliveries have been done over the past several months. When I opened the door, I was surprised to see the delivery person holding the balloons just outside the door while not wearing a mask rather than setting them on the porch and backing up a bit for contactless delivery. Since he really seemed to need to hand them to me directly, I asked him to wait a moment and then was further surprised when I returned in mask to have him act insulted and talk about how HE was safe because he had been tested. I realize that masks and Covid have become a political issue for some people so tend to shy away from such discussions. However, as I have thought about this encounter, I realized that he could be putting other customers in danger when handing items directly to people without mask protection not knowing the health status of the other person. I am especially concerned that my message to the shop about the situation seemed to have been ignored with no response 4 days later. read more

Repeated problems with Plano Florist. Placed 3 different orders for Valentines Day (two local, one in another city). Total cost over $360. Owner took order and advised that local orders received candy with roses for ordering early. One local recipient sent pic of roses that did not open and were drooping within 3 days of delivery. She even sent a picture ... sad roses. Asked the other recipient, was told same thing (she was too shy to tell me). In addition, candy was not included. I had to go to the store to pick up the two boxes of candy that should have been delivered with the orders. Bottom line, quality of flowers was an embarrassment ... again. I understand being busy for Valentines Day, but either staff up, buy quality merchandise or dont take my $360 order so I can make other arrangements. When I contacted the owner, I advised of what happened and that I thought as a courtesy she would want to know why I was not going to order flowers anymore. Before I could ask to be removed from their system so that I would no longer receive "reminders", she told me she was sorry but that they were very busy because of the holiday and was sorry I felt as I did. I have ordered from Plano Florist for years because the staff is typically very nice, responsive, fun to work with even. Unfortunately, I have had similar qualitative experiences in the past with Plano Florist and in fact left them for a year or two and purchased flowers from Dr. Delphinium or even Costco (which always open cost much less and live about a week). Problem is that I have to deliver Costco's and Dr Delphinium is based in Dallas. I always make a concerted effort to support local small businesses especially if woman owned. When you send roses, its about sending a message and enjoying a thoughful reminder for a few days. This requires quality product and quality service. Price is secondary. I will never use this florist again. The staff is, however excellent. Upbeat helpful and friendly. But the experience of the recipients is way below par due to quality of the end product which kills the whole reason you send flowers. Bottom line ... avoid Plano Florist at all costs unless you are tying to tell your recipient that you only think enough of them to send $360 worth of junk. read more

I asked to receive a picture of the arrangement BEFORE it was to be delivered (because we added more flowers to it and supposedly a different vase was to be used because we wanted it bigger) well, time went by and never received a photo so I called the florist and Mary answered and she obviously did not review Sherry's notes from me (the customer) Mary was not professional at all, she was not sympathetic to me (the customer) things she said were very unprofessional in my opinion. Both of my interactions with Plano Florist have been extremely costly for the quality of the flowers which were prepared and sent by them. In Jan. 2012, I ordered a bouquet of at least 40 French Roses to be sent to my girlfriend. They assured me the quality of the tulips would be excellent and the arrangement magnificent. This was insured by a $380 price tag. The flowers were sent, and my girlfriend loved them, however, I showed up the next day and the bouquet was hardly worth the cost, regardless of the 'type' of flowers involved. Not only that, but the tulips were opened to the point that they wilted almost to the stem, within 3 days of arrival. Despite care and watering. The tulips were merely 'end of stock' quality and age. I let this slide, being that I am from out of town. 3 weeks later, my girlfriend had a birthday. Against my better judgment, I ordered an FTD based arrangement from Plano Florist from their website. FTD typically has 'levels' of quality consisting mainly of increased numbers of flowers in the arrangement. I ordered 'Timeless Traditions' at BEST quality for $165 from the Plano Website. I didn't look around (much to my chagrin later) at any other websites... not even the FTD online site. The order was for $195 delivered. I thought she would be getting a great bouquet of lavender and white roses. She thanked me for the roses and posted a picture of the bouquet on Facebook. The picture resembled the 'Good' quality (lowest base quality FTD offers) in appearance and number of stems. I looked it up on the general FTD website, and they use the exact same pictures Plano Florist uses. However, the cost for the bouquet ordered through FTD rather than Plano Florist is $83 rather than $165. So not only did Plano Florist deliver something which appeared significantly diminished less than the base order, but they doubled the normal price for the effort. I contacted Plano Florist for a refund of my purchase. At the end of the day, I received a call stating they would pick up the old bouquet and deliver another on Monday (Birthday is Friday). When I asked for a refund, she refused and stated they would refund $50. So they refunded just over 25% of my cost making it only 160% of the FTD advertised price. When I asked the person if she really thought the bouquet they delivered looked anything like the one in their advertised picture. She continually replied with a 'recipe' rather than an answer, stating they followed the recipe, and in fact added 4 fillers as well. When I finally got an answer, she stated 'Yes, I believe it looks the same.' Which, answers the question about why they have such poor reviews online. I accept my lesson as such. It was a poor choice and my only hope is that you don't make the same choice as I did. There are many other florists who deliver in Plano... I will choose another and hope you take this review as it is intended... as information. read more

WOW! Customer service like is rarely found these days. My husband ordered a bouquet for me that did not last very long. When I called to ask about it, the owner mentioned they had an issue with one of their delivery trucks & figured that was likely the problem. She very graciously offered to deliver another bouquet to replace it. WOW!! What was delivered is SO much nicer than what my husband initially ordered. She went WAY above & beyond what is expected nowadays. And several days later, the new bouquet just keeps looking more & more beautiful. Things can happen (like the issue with the delivery truck). I can say with a lot of experience that Plano Florist is great. I have had a flower bouquet sent to my wife on our anniversary date every month for the last 20 years and Plano Florist has handled it perfectly. I haven't used them for all of the 20 years but I know that it has been at least 10 years. I guess if you had it up, they have delivered over 120 flower arrangements to my wife.
