Extremely horrible customer service... I asked for a specific flower and she told me that she didn't have it because it's not "high end" and that they "only carry high end flowers" and then she proceeded to tell me that I would have to go to a "grocery store" I am by no means a sensitive person but the fact that she was insinuating that what I was looking for is cheap and "grocery store" quality is extremely unnecessary. However I'm glad I didn't order from here because I've heard of many experiences where people have bought flowers from here only to have them die a day or two later. I find that extremely ironic considering I've had grocery store flowers last weeks on end.... There was also an older looking woman in the back and she was extremely off putting...she did not greet us and just looked at us with a bothered and disturbed expression. So weird. This is not an inviting place and both the women should learn appropriate customer service because I do not see why anybody would want to deal with them. Get your "high end" flowers literally anywhere else! read more

My boyfriend got me beautiful flowers from here for Valentine's Day and my birthday a couple months later. Absolutely gorgeous arrangements. According to my boyfriend, he walked in, told her how much he wanted to spend (didn't really have a budget), and the only thing he specified was to not use any roses. Apparently the owner was really nice and the arrangements she made were exactly what I would've picked for myself. Unfortunately within DAYS, and I'm talking two to three days, the gorgeous flowers looked pathetic and wilted! I would rate Petals higher if only the arrangements had lasted longer. For someone to go out and spent $100-150 on a bouquet and to have it die two days later seems ridiculous to me. read more

Even though they were incredibly busy and it was clear they were not going to slow down any time soon, they jumped to the challenge and sent me home with a gorgeous hand tie that matches the dress and my son's suit perfectly. I walked in with very limited time wanting a small arrangement for an open house I was hosting down the street. I described to them what I was looking for and my budget (which by the way was really low given the dollars I had remaining to spend) and they graciously made a couple of suggestions and I picked 2 bud vases with greenery. It was perfect for my venue. I was in and out in 10 minutes. They have a handful of off-the-shelf arrangements and it appears to me that everything else is custom. My dad orders my mom and I flowers from Petals like clockwork. Birthdays, Valentine's Day, Mother's Day (no, I'm not a mother - I guess he just doesn't want me to feel left out. No complaints!), etc... and every time the arrangements are simply stunning. Beautiful flowers that last and smell beautiful. And sweet Cathy (who usually delivers to us) is always a pleasure. She helped me out with pricing and also tips on keeping the flowers looking their best after cutting and arranging. I ordered mostly hydrangeas and the flowers were gorgeous. Ordered an arrangement for my wife for Mother's Day. She wanted hydrangeas and gardenias. They were helpful at petals getting this custom made for me and delivered Saturday am. By Monday, everything was dead and brown and had to throw it out. For $150, I would expect it to last longer. The store bought arrangement she also got still looks brand new 3 days later. My son ordered me flowers for Valentine's Day, and two days before they were due to arrive, we called to have the delivery location changed. This was very confusing to the person who answered the phone who insisted they were already delivered. Finally, that did get settled and my flowers arrived at my house. They did not at all look like the flowers that were ordered. In fact, my husband thought they arrived dead. I called to make an exchange, and I was told that they had to substitute the flowers for another kind. When I expressed my dislike, the florist became quite indignant. I drove up there to show her and ask for something else. She mocked me in the store stating that she would gladly take the flowers back because they were so "beautifuler." I simply asked for different flowers and was told the ones i received were more expensive than the ones in the picture online. The florist was so rude to me I began to cry. Finally, her kinder partner stepped in and did the right thing. They made me a different bouquet, which is all I wanted. It is a shame, too, bc I was excited to support a small business in Plano. Instead, I have told everyone I know about this experience. read more

I have used Petals twice and have been extremely pleased. This time I went to the shop and talked to Jodi to discuss exactly what I wanted - color, size and types of flowers for four arrangements for a party. Not only were they each spot-on perfect (they were different sizes and styles), but each arrangement was amazing. Jodi even found a particular container for me for one of the arrangements that I had seen online. The flowers were delivered on time and were the hit of the party. I kept one arrangement to bring home and gave the others to honorees at the party. My arrangement is still alive, not drooping and pretty after four days. I expect it will last even longer. I have added some water. I love Petals and won't use anyone else. I don't find them any more expensive than any other good florist. read more

I spent $99 on a plant arrangement (not including delivery), ordered through their website. What arrived looked very little like what I ordered online, in terms of quality. The online arrangement included six plants, one with large bright blooms, all in a sturdy and attractive basket. The arrangement had just as much appeal for its flowers as the foliage. What was delivered included only 5 plants: a boring fern, some ivy, a philodendron vine, and two other ho hum plants. The one blooming plant had tiny, yellow, hardly noticeable flowers. The basket looked flimsy and not at all like what was online. I called about these discrepancies and expressed that I wasn't happy with what was delivered. They said that they can't create what is online exactly and that I should have called instead of using their website to see what they had in stock. I understand that substitutions may need to be made; it says that clearly on the website. But I did expect the same number of plants to be used, I expected the arrangement to have a noticeably blooming plant, and I expected the basket to be of high quality. If customers shouldn't use the website, then Petals shouldn't offer ordering off their site. I will not use this florist again. read more

I used this florist several years ago to design my daughter's bridal bouquet for her portrait. I was Very disappointed with the design, quality, and price point. Today, 8 years later I went there to get a small floral arrangement for a friend's birthday and it was worse than what I could have put together or what I've see at Kroger! I'm at Kroger right now purchasing flowers to redesign this ugly mess. Don't waste your money- there are many great florists out there who care about their customers. read more
