At the peak hours the folks that lead exercise on the floor play their speakers so loud you cannot even hear your own voices play list on your earbuds at the highest volume! It is totally irritating and distracting' I need to find another gym or at least a different location! I have mentioned it to the staff and still same thing everyday! Facilities are dated & amenities are minimal. Like there's not even towels in the locker rooms, you have to get them from the desk. Something as simple as a receipt that I need to work reimbursement, it's a whole thing to get it every month. In the positive side: it's not that common to see a gym with sauna & steamroom. There are never that many people there so you can always get the machine you want & there's always a lane or 4 open in the swimming pool. It's just pretty basic for the price. read more

It's a good gym if you don't plan on bringing any guests and are okay with the hours. The staff is super chill and even the teens that work there aren't your usual "idgaf" teens that you find working the front desk at a gym (Texas Family Fitness). The cleaning staff is also constantly going around and cleaning machinery, so it's just a super clean and inviting environment. One of the biggest perks is that a lot of people don't know about it so it's not very busy AT ALL. I would be able to go to the basketball court and shoot hoops completely alone at 8 PM while the LA Fitness/Lifetime courts probably have two half court games going on during the same time. That's probably one of the few things I miss the most. In addition, that recovery area is epic. No other gym has options like that. From massage tools to the hydrotherapy, you definitely can finish your workout confident that you're not going to have to leave the gym with any tightness. The only problem is they have no guest options (or at least they didn't when I was signed up). I'm paying roughly the same cost at LA Fitness and can bring two guests a day, anytime I want. This obviously feeds into why PAC quite literally has half the amount of people in it at any given time compared to a gym like LA Fitness, but for being in the center of a pretty suburban part of Plano, I'm not sure how well it will work for them in the long run. Overall, if you're the kind of person who likes working out solo and hates a crowd, this is the best option in town. read more

Just moved back to DFW from a too long a stint in BFE AZ - PAC is very very clean, great friendly staff, awesome sauna, steam, jacuzzi and indoor pool. Showers were also the same, big spacious, clean and they even provide a towell and locker with combo lock on them. Men and women's facility is united. Only the lockers are separate, but the rest is togetherness and that is what we prefer. We had spent money trying out different Recreation centers with screaming kids and well they were clean enough facilities but there was no jacuzzi, no steam, no sauna, and although they usually had pools, they were packed solid with kids of all makes and models. And PAC is very conveniently located, not out in the middle of a huge field isolated. They are at 4600 Park Blvd I believe - don't quote me. Great place - and I'll be going tomorrow! Oh wow, they have very very long hours - like 5am till 8pm - I mean - c'mon! that's really a huge window to make it to work out and relax. Ooops, forgot to mention they have the water contoured recliners! Need to try those my next time there. Enjoy! But join PAC! You will love it! read more

I recently cancelled my membership here, after belonging for about 9 months. Except for the absurdity of requiring everyone to log in using their app WHICH DOESN'T WORK, and years going by with them refusing to do anything about it, and despite this still refusing to issue a simple plastic ID card LIKE EVERY OTHER GYM CHAIN ON THE PLANET; And having to watch so many USELESS TEENAGERS behind their counter, playing with their phones as the world bustles around them, the place was okay until their true colors were shown. It's well-established gym etiquette that "You can superset if you like (2 machines at once, going back and forth) but you may not reserve machines, e.g., if there's no one on it, it's available." Then, I learned that - per PAC policy - the Trainers can reserve machines any time they want; and one did, to me, while I was using it. So it's okay for them but not everybody else in the gym, i.e., "Do as I say, not as I do." is their motto, and they couldn't care less what the members think about it. It's either wrong or it isn't. I objected to this hypocritical/offensive policy and asked to speak to its author, the owner, and the Manager refused; so I cancelled. I've belonged to just about every gym chain there is. at one time or another, and I've never seen one so brazenly give the big middle finger to its members. They just don't care. $74/month I paid to work out there. That's right, they charge top dollar. Tolerate this if you like, but I certainly won't, not with so many gyms around. read more

We enjoy the atmosphere and everyone that works here is super kind (especially our girl Zoe)!! I feel comfortable coming here by myself, too, which isn't always the case at gyms. This is a five star place. The people are nice, the place has everything you need. The only thing that's an issue is my sign in and sign up on Plano athletic club app and portal. Even the desk people know it's an issue. I've asked at least 6 times for my activation code on the web portal but it still doesn't work a little over a month. I don't like giving my phone number every time I come in. I really hope they get this addressed. It's not good for women either giving their phone number out loud so others can hear. They think because the start up fee is only $24 this month and they don't put the monthly cost that people are going to join. Well this gym won't last if they are not up front with Monthly cost. Been a member for 18 months, had a billing issue and didn't get a valid response from them , just accusations and nasty attitude by their manager Kelsey. She actually hung up the phone on me. Awesome atmosphere and great equipment for all athletes. Staff are all ve eh respectful and kind. Trainers here, seem to know what they are doing. I went to one factory workout class and the trainer was really good. He definitely knew what he was doing and talking about. I got such a good workout in and was sweating by the end of the workout. wow... so I came in and talked to them about a membership. The girl was nice and signed me up, but after coming in once, I hated the smell of the new vinyl flooring. The off gassing is wild. I called in a day later and asked them to cancel my membership. The manager was cool about it and said I wouldn't be charged. Month goes by and I get charged a month membership... so disappointed in them. I call in and the girl told me that I still have a membership. This just goes to show you, always follow up, people don't care about you or your money. ALWAYS follow up. I have been coming to this same building to work out for 20 years. She is so smart, she knows all the equipment and she created a workout that specifically meets my needs. Canceling my membership today!! They make it Really hard for a mom to go In and work out. It's a gym daycare it's not that serious. Lynn the kids club manager was sitting all kinds of rules, that we're starting to make going to the gym hard. My child is 18 months so it's hard for me to know exactly when I was going in. She first requested I called before going in. So I started doing that for a couple of months but I was calling 10 minutes to 15 minutes before going in and then today she decided to make another rule and that I had to call a hour before going in. I don't understand what the time had to do with anything as long as I was calling and they had room in the club why I couldn't go in. The club does not get full and if it did it's not that hard to tell me hey we are full call back. This Lynn lady was to proud of her position, talking about all kinds of laws and stuff. I called a few other gyms in the area and they have not heard of any of these laws. Really I think this lady had something against. read more

The gym is just like every other in regards to ripping you off. I was told I was signing a 3 month membership as a student going to college at the beginning of the summer and even cancelled the membership at the front desk when I left in August to go back to school. They still charged me for the next month back at school and management tells me I had to send an email for cancellation when I wrote back to them for a refund. Bad management. read more
