It's very convenient that Crunch Fitness has so many locations near me. The Plano location is a bit…read morefarther west, but it was closer to our friend's place, so we decided to meet up here. They also had a promotion going on with bring a friend free for Cinco de Mayo weekend. The gym size is smaller than the East Plano location and has fewer equipment options. The free weights and machine areas also feel a bit more compact, with less space between sections. That said, I still like that they're open 24 hours on weekdays. I believe it's the only Crunch Fitness in the area with the flexible hours, probably due to being close to UTD. It's still a solid gym when I'm on this side of town.

My experience trying to cancel my membership has been unbelievably frustrating and feels designed to make cancellation nearly impossible. When I attempted to cancel, I was told that I could not cancel unless I paid a renewal fee that had not even come due yet. In other words, I would have to pay a future renewal fee just to stop my membership. That made absolutely no sense. Because of this, I went into the gym in person to resolve the issue. I spoke directly with the General Manager, Chris Marriotti, explained the billing situation, and told him that I had been unable to cancel my membership properly. He told me that both my wife's membership and my membership were canceled and that everything was taken care of. Unfortunately, that was not true. Despite being told in person by the general manager that the memberships were canceled, the gym continues to charge the account and has now even added late fees. The memberships still appear to be active even though we were told everything had been handled. So now I am dealing with charges, late fees, and a membership that was supposed to already be canceled by management. This has been an extremely frustrating experience. When a customer goes in person, speaks to the general manager, and is told everything is resolved, that should be the end of it. Instead, it has turned into an ongoing billing issue. If you are considering joining this gym, I strongly recommend reading the contract very carefully and understanding exactly how their cancellation process works before signing anything.

Because it's a small gym in a shopping center that's very convenient to access and provides the things that I need to have in a gym. For the price point and the convenience it's really hard to beat having access to all the cardio and weights you could need. I was there over lunch and it was not very crowded at all. By the time I left at like 1:45 I was one of maybe 3-4 people in there. No locker rooms. No problem. Standalone bathrooms for all genders have showers in them. Some small lockers available in the main area. Free weights, squat rack, two landmine attachments, tons of equipment... The 24/7 unstaffed model is really cool, and, it seems, is the only way to make a gym accessible 24/7 in this economy. Gone are the days of every 24-Hour Fitness location actually being 24 hours. (They should just change their name at this point.) The owner, Michaela, was very friendly and helped me get signed up via my gym membership plan extremely quickly. The facility itself has so much to offer! It really feels like a one-stop shop for fitness and wellness. They're such a great addition to the neighborhood. I remember when this location was just a dream back in the LA Fitness days, but I never imagined it would turn out this fancy. And yes, if you're a member here, you can use any LA Fitness location, but not the other way around. Perks! I was genuinely mind-blown by how beautiful this place is. They did an incredible job. An indoor pickleball court? Yes, please. Who wants to play outside in the Texas heat? Of course, they have outdoor courts too, the place is massive. No need for lockers, they've figured out a smarter system for us. The classes are a blast, and trust me, you'll feel the burn the next day. The changing rooms are super spacious, my fave thing is the Dyson hairdryers, no, it's the huge sauna, no it's the showers, no, its the shower heads. Just don't try to take one home, you'll beep on your way out. Yep, they've got anti-theft tags in the towels. Clever. Everyone here is friendly and helpful. The Recovery Studio is also amazing. I've done cryo multiple times and loved it, it's so good for you. The infrared rooms are cool too. And those air compression boots? They're called Normatec. They help with circulation, and one of the staff recommended using them before and after workouts. Genius. Honestly, I could spend 3-4 hours here easily and just live my best life. They always have specials going on. I just got one for Labor Day, but I'll be away and sadly won't be able to take advantage. If you live nearby, definitely sign up. I can't recommend this place enough. It's a stunning setup with a totally reasonable membership. You might think I'm exaggerating, but let me break it down: I used to go to Glo Sun Spa before they closed their Addison location--$150/month, and cryo was always extra. So it could come out to around $200. Then my silly LA Fitness was another $40, plus their maintenance fee, (which is nonexistent here) and I had to drive between locations. So Club Studio, everything included $250/month totally makes sense. Everything's in one place. It's bougie, gorgeous, and probably the best gym I've ever been to. Nothing's broken, everything works, and like I said, you get access to any LA Fitness location too. Total win. So... will I see you there?

Rebekah is the best, her classes are great (and she has the best playlists)! I haven't used the tennis, pickleball, basketball, or rock climbing wall so I can't speak on those but they look wonderful. The best thing about this place is how clean it is! The whole place is filled with staff members that are always cleaning and folding towels but are very helpful and polite if you have a question. The price tag isn't fun for anyone, but as long as you use the facilities and take classes (there is one for everyone!) it's totally worth it in my opinion.
