Wonderful. I've been going to this clinic for over 20 years. I feel valued. While too many…read moreproviders just follow the medical algorithms mechanically, the doctors here exercise excellent clinical wisdom to boot. The staff are caring, competent, and provide strength-oriented patient empowerment. They have helped me through good times and challenging times and put up with me when I was not at my best. Recently, I had an opportunity to read the clinical notes of a recent visit. Wow, do they listen! I cannot imagine better care.

I'd leave zero stars if I could. I saw Jan Litz, and my son saw Dr. Copperman…read more THIS IS THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE I'VE RECEIVED ANYWHERE. AND THE WORST 'HEALTHCARE' AS WELL-though I'm hesitant to even call it that. I did not at all feel like Jan cared about my *personal* needs. She was warm and friendly enough until I asked her to order some tests that I wanted, or to think outside of her narrow thoughts. I was only asking for a comprehensive thyroid panel-we aren't talking expensive hypochondriac things. When I told her that a topical medication she prescribed was causing dryness and irritation, she dismissed my concerns and told me to keep using it. I took my son to see Dr. Copperman for a specific concern and he told my son that his issues were his own fault. His blaming alienated me, shamed my son and did NOTHING to address the concern we came in for. I have NEVER been treated this way before by anyone. His care was so terrible that I sat in the car crying from anger. I asked for a referral for my son, and was handed a list of providers and told they would send over a referral. When I called to follow-up, the referral told me they weren't accepting new patients. I called the clinic back but no one was available to help me. 3 days later they returned my multiples calls and said they'd send it through to another. That one ALSO was not accepting new patients. And then it happened a third time. Finally, I started calling around and then asked the new clinic to call for a referral and it took a week to receive it! As if that wasn't enough, the front office told me that I did not need to make a co-pay for a visit. I told them, are you sure? I usually do. They told me no, and refused to take any payment. When I was then billed for it, I called to find out why and was placed on hold, or hung up on, and never got an answer. When I went in for the next appointment, they told me at the appointment that I had to pay a $100 deposit to be seen since I was delinquent on my bills. DELINQUENT. It was a $20 co-pay. I was there for an appointment and had no other choice if I wanted my son to be seen.

I have had issues with BestMed in the past on a professional level.  When I got sick in February, I…read morefigured those issues wouldn't affect a personal visit.  It was still awful! My wife made an appointment online. We arrived about a half an hour early (just because that's how we were raised).  We waited for 2 hours before they finally called me back.  Then I waited another 45 minutes before the doctor came in. She didn't listen to me.  My wife could audibly hear a rattle in my chest when breathing normally.  The doctor couldn't... with the stethoscope.  I told her my fever came and went, but that I'd had it off and on for a week.  She said, "As long as you're improving, there's really nothing to do but wait."  During the conversation it came up that I have mild asthma, but that I haven't had an inhaler for a long time.  She told me to just keep using it, if the wheezing persists... but I wasn't wheezing... and she said my chest sounded clear... AND... I don't have an inhaler.  So she wrote me a prescription for a new one.  She also said she'd order a swab of my throat, just in case, but she was pretty sure it was just a viral infection and I'd just have to wait to get over it.  The nurse came in and swabbed my throat and said I should hear back from them on Monday (it was Friday). I never did. I went by the pharmacy the following  Wednesday to pick up my inhaler prescription (because I wasn't wheezing and didn't really need it right away) and the pharmacist said I had two prescriptions ordered for me - one for albuterol (inhaler) and one for Amoxicillin!? I tried calling BestMed to find out why they ordered an antibiotic for a viral infection, but was put on hold and didn't have time to wait.  I was feeling quite a bit better by that point too. So I wasn't too concerned about it, just confused. 18 days later... I get a letter in the mail from BestMed telling me to contact them.  They said they had tried to call me (I checked my phone - no missed messages), but couldn't reach me.  The letter said that there was an abnormality in my lab results that they wanted to discuss with me and that they ordered a prescription for an antibiotic that I should take the full course.  So I tried to call them again. I waited on hold for 45 minutes!! Only to be told that a medical assistant would call me back. They never did. I went on their website and left this post as feedback. They thanked me and said someone would contact me shortly... They never did.

The receptionist was quick and friendly. I sat down and waited to be seen. I went to the bathroom once, it was clean and easy to access. I passed the time waiting by reading a book I brought with me, knowing the wait would be long like it usually is at urgent care facilities. I was there for probably bronchitis and just wanted confirmation that nothing more serious was going on and that I was no longer contagious as I'm travelling internationally in a week. The waiting room is big and clean. Seats are spread apart and grouped by 1s, 2s, and 3s so you can sit with family or distance yourself from everyone else. You could hear a few employees joking around and giggling loudly in the back but otherwise it was fine. Someone came in while I waited and there was no receptionist there to help them for a few minutes - too busy giggling in the back I guess. The receptionist eventually came back out and told him there was an hour and a half wait (something she couldn't answer when I asked, which was weird) and he left. Someone else then came in and also left when told about the wait. At this point I was already locked in and had to wait, but I had a book so I didn't mind too much. I was brought back at 10:55 and Lenie took my vitals. She was very fast and took down my complaints while taking vitals. She was friendly and thorough, letting me know what all of my vitals were which I appreciated. Dr. Warner came in around 11:30 and checked me out. She wrote me a few prescriptions and was very friendly but also fast, not wasting time because she knew we were all busy and wanted to get on with our days. She put in the order for the meds and came back and walked me through the meds. She was again friendly and professional, giving me honest info. I was out at 11:50am, just over two hours after arriving. It was one of the longer urgent care visits I've had but I'm just glad to have some meds to help me get better faster and hopefully before my trip.

However, there was a misunderstanding. I had severe headaches & dizziness, & both doctors suggested I get an MRI. I asked how to do this, bc I was new to Lane County, & both told me to go to ER to do so. And, I did. I thought I did the correct thing, but obviously, I made a big error. Hospital found a meningioma behind the right occipital lobe in my brain, with very slight brain bleed. It scared me. When I returned in a few days after the diagnosis, both Allergist & Primary Care fired me as a patient. I'd gone to see my Allergist, Kraig, & he was having issues w/home health w/his wife who was suffering from MS. He wasn't in a pleasant mood, & neither was his assistant, who made my visit a very sour one, as she was belligerent/ (this was around 2010). To this day, I don't understand what I did or didn't do. I felt so sad, bc I really liked my care @ Oak St. Medical! Above all, I loved both my doctors. I'd recommend them both to anyone, even though I was asked not to come back after my diagnosis.

New Leaf Hyperbarics is hands down worth every minute!…read more I've am 39 years, and I've never met a team as friendly, professional, and genuinely caring as the staff here. From the moment I walked in, I felt welcomed and totally at ease. I spent 60 minutes in their bariatric oxygen chamber--and let me tell you, it's roomy enough for everyone, including plus-size folks like me, so no stress about fitting in! They set you up with a comfy pillow, a cozy blanket if you want, and get this--they even let you bring your phone inside so you can binge your favorite show or scroll away during your session. No need to hunt for special clothes either. Unlike other places with intense pressure, their chamber runs at a lower, safer setting, so you don't have to wear 100% cotton--how awesome is that? There's also a little clear window above your head so you can peek out and keep anxiety at bay. Plus, if you ever want to pause or stop early, there's an easy button right inside your reach to call the staff. The facility is spotless, and they got me started almost immediately--no annoying wait times! Here's the best part: after just one session, I could breathe better all day long and felt this deep sense of calm I wasn't expecting. And my dry eyes? Already feeling way better, which is huge for me. If you're thinking about trying hyperbaric therapy, New Leaf is where you want to go. Comfortable, welcoming, and results you can feel right away.
