    The care my daughter received was excellent. It's hard to find urgent cares now that can do x…read morerays, and I appreciated that this clinic does that. The clinician that cared for my daughter was kind and thorough. Why the dropped stars? They charged us a $100 deductible "per policy" prior to receiving any care. Why is this not ok with me? We paid our deductible this year already (it's mid November). My daughter inquired with the front desk staff, and they told her that her parents' insurance has a "very high deductible" (our deductible is not high), and they ran her card for it. She was very sick, so needed care, and just let them run her card. I called the desk and let them know that we already have paid our deductible for the year. They said it was because we have a 10% co insurance that I have to pay the $100 fee. I said this is different than a deductible...and also that would mean they knew the bill was going to come to $1000 without the patient being seen. They disputed my math (?). And then they said "it's just our policy". The ladies at the front desk told me that I needed to call my insurance company and Take this issue up with them. I called my insurance company. They said "yes, not only have you paid her deductible, your whole family has paid the deductible for the year, many many months ago". My insurance Company called the two ladies at the front desk to let them know that our deductible has been paid. The ladies just said "this is our policy" to my insurance company. I called the front desk back again because my daughter was sitting in the waiting room with other patients and the front desk ladies were complaining harshly about the questioning from myself and also our insurance company over charges that were not correct on their end. (BTW I also contacted billing...they said this is standard policy, and they would refund any portion of the deductible that was not necessary within 30 business days after working with our insurance company...what company ever charges people despite knowing it may not be a correct charge, and then holds the funds for 30 business days?...I can understand having a credit card on file for payment after services rendered, but this is absurd to lay a fee known not to be correct from the beginning, and holding the funds for 30 days). My daughter was embarrassed while sitting in the waiting room while the front desk was loudly belittling her and myself in front of other waiting patients. I'm glad my daughter got great care. The $100 has been charged on my daughter card, and hopefully she will see it again in 30 business days. BestMed needs to either have better education/training for their front desk staff, or hire people that know what they are actually doing...or change absurd policies. Since I got 3 different stories for what that $100 charge was for, I suppose BestMed admin. Needs to take some time to figure out what went wrong here.

    Why can I not reach this office on the phone? Every single time I have called, no answer. If I call…read moreback, there's callers ahead of me. The wait is always ridiculous if I go in and I'm too sick to leave, hence why I'm calling to get ahold of my primary doctor but for some reason, this office NEVER ANSWERS THE PHONE. Pick up the phone! Why do I always have to sit for so long and no one picks it up? When I'm waiting, they're sitting there. So are you guys just sitting there when the phone rings? Seriously. What is the problem. Answer the phone.

She was so miserable, her fever just…read morewasn't moving, and then she started showing other symptoms like having a runny nose and a bit of cough, plus she started becoming pretty hoarse. My sister is a nurse so I had her check her a few times for wheezing and whatnot, and possibly to put me at ease she suggested I take her to urgent care. This one was closest. One of the things it has going for it is that it's not Riverbend, because the ER there is insane. We were in and out of here within about an hour. The receptionist wasn't the friendliest but the other staff we interacted with were. While I appreciate that it was relatively quick for us to be seen and leave--which I especially appreciated because trying to keep a toddler happy in a place like that isn't always easy--it was what happened after my visit that left me a little unsure about the place. My child had a COVID-flu-RSV test and they called back with the results after we left. Unfortunately my babe had RSV (thank god she had a vaccine for it as soon as she was eligible because I can't imagine her having this without it, but that's another story). I had questions about how to best care for her during her illness and the person I spoke with couldn't answer my questions and was instead asking whomever was sitting with her at the desk. It did not at all inspire confidence, and I called my daughter's pediatrician to get advice I felt I could trust.

However I had an appointment for a back surgery procedure an hour later in the morning. The staff could not have been nicer or more helpful. Fortunately it was shortly after eight so there were not any other cases. The staff answered all my questions and assured me there would not be any conflict due to the surgery. (The spine surgeon agreed, so I was able to proceed) I chose BestMed on the recommendation of the friends we were staying with (I think my friend is on their volume discount plan ) and I would not hesitate to recommend them also

Well, as a former employee myself, I never expected to become a patient, especially not an ICU Heart patient. It has been so long since I retired that nobody there knew me except for one nurse. I was very grateful for the level of professionalism I was accorded and the timeliness of everyone involved. Having a Triple Bypass is no picnic. However, the staff continued to assure me all along the way. All accommodations were made for my needs and that of the Mrs. Staff were exceedingly polite and very patient with us as we navigated this 'other side of the coin'. Everyone from Registration all the way to the CNA that wheelchaired me to the exit door were very nice. It is amazing how differently people come across when your life is in their hands. I am exceedingly grateful and appreciative of all the staff and care I received while I was there. Now I am home and completing recovery from my successful surgery. I feel great and look forward gratefully to the next few decades this surgery has provided me.

    The only reason I cannot give 5 stars, Emergency room is way understaffed and often takes many…read morehours to be treated if not critical. However, when moved to see an ER doctor the care is top notch. Cardiac Care Unit is absolutely the best. Doctors, Nurses, Surgeon's, all who give care are absolutely above the curve.

I have only good things to say about the aforementioned group of people. However OMG has hired on at least 2 medical assistants (MA) who lack in tact, professionalism and courtesy. At Southtowne I had personal medical information practically broadcasted across a waiting room for all other patients to hear. The same MA refused to follow up with a PA who worked in the same office which lead to me taking an incomplete series of tests, even after I persisted with the request several times. The NOW Clinic is employing an MA who thinks it's appropriate to leave tests results on voicemail in an ominous manner with absolutely no explanation of the results. I cannot even begin to describe the amount of undue stress this caused on my entire family. OMG would GREATLY benefit by raising it's highering standards for MAs and focusing on impriving efficacy with better training and oversight.

First OMG randomly cancelled my biologics…read morechemotherapy, which endangers my life, but then they randomly dropped all of Dr Balsam's OHP patients without notice. When he retired they refused to reassign his patients and said "we aren't accepting NEW OHP patients", nvm the fact I've been with the practice for 20 years. The letter I received about his upcoming retirement said to call for further steps. I did and they said they can't tell me anything about further steps, can't reassign me to a new doctor, and I have to wait until he actually retires to see what happens. Fast forward a couple months and I call with a serious health concern and request to be seen, don't care by who ( in the past I've always just been scheduled with the crescent clinic), and was told "your doctor retired and we don't take Trillium so you're not our patient anymore, we can't see you." Incredibly unprofessional, disrespectful, and unethical behavior. Will be reporting to the Oregon medical board. OMG used to be a great clinic. Since Optum took over, they've become a dumpster fire. They also badly mishandled my Dad's treatment for years. They were giving him biologics chemotherapy for his condition as well, with zero oversight from any sort of doctor, and failed to have him overseen by a rheumatologist - the rheumatology clinic here failed me as well and is a total joke. He finally got his treatment handled through Slocum and is in much better shape now. He said he wasted years with OMG mismanaging his condition and unduly suffering due to their incompetence.
