Went back last week for a refill on my birth control & I had the same MA & finally caught her name ! Maggy; She remembered me & even noticed that I had dyed my hair , I love experiences like that I feel very welcomed. Long Beach is still my favorite location to come to. read more

Frida has the worst attitude. Extremely rude, and very Insensitive. She should not be working with people.

Everyone was so nice and helpful! I felt so comfortable being here and not judge at all! I have been to some planned parenthood's where I have been afraid to ask questions but here I was very comfortable that I kept on talking! Dr Kayla was very nice and helped me answer my questions and gave me options to my problem! The nurse was also so friendly and as well as receptionist! Clean place and will recommend to anyone. read more

I used to come here when I was younger. Came back to get an exam years later. Everyone is always friendly, helpful, and welcoming. Never had an issue here. They offer a great variety of services and are very helpful in explaining any information and answering any questions you may have. read more

The physician was very kind and made me feel super comfortable with telling her my problems the only reason why i'm giving 3 stars instead of 5 is due to the wait period even though i had an appointment. I still waited about 1.5 hours to get seen. so be prepared to wait. read more

I had the most amazing experience at PP Long Beach. The doctor, the nurses , and the rest of the staff were all so kind and helpful. I got my procedure done quickly and pain free. They answered all of my questions and Dr. Evans is such an amazing doctor and was so respectful and kind to me. The clinic is very clean and I knew I was in good hands. They respect all and any of your wishes and will make sure your information is confidential. 10/10 recommend this place for termination of pregnancy/birth control etc. Thank you very much planned parenthood for a good experience! read more

sucks to wait over an hour when I had an appointment but hey, at least I've never had to cross protestors to get into this place.

Booking appointments online are a breeze. In n out. Got services I needed right away

I love this location! They took they time to listen to my concerns regarding changing my birth control. Both my nurse and doctor were very patient, kind, and knowledgeable! read more

I most definitely loved their service, very helpful and understanding to every situation and questions. They also to took their time and made sure they explained everything .I felt very comfortable and safe, I most definitely recommend them 100% and I cant forget my ladies Erin, Linda, sophia and shanna read more

They're very nice here, the waits not long if you have an appointment. The place is very clean inside.

Wow a lot of has changed since my initial review. They have really gotten it together and have left me impressed. The receptionist I mentioned in my previous post is no longer there, service has gotten a lot better, and making an appt is easy. I am so happy they have changed. I believe they are appt only based location which is nice because you get out quicker. Wait times have improved as well. Nice job guys! read more

Good experience, they where very respectful, and I was attended very fast. the experience was very interesting, all you out there thinking about a vasectomy. Don't think about it, just do it. Thank you read more

Very Nice Front Office ladies and the nurses, very helpful and they provide you all the information and resources.

My office visit took an hour because I did walk in so it wasn't too bad of a waiting period. Everyone was nice with me. I got my results for my pregnancy test and they were negative. I should be getting my other results in about 2 weeks. Thank you planned Parenthood for my visit. read more

Very respectful people and great service definitely helped me with my needs and would 100% recommend to everyone to go there if needed

Very helpful and compassionate. I got the implant and happy with there services. They gave ne very useful information. And on time with my appointment. read more

Sitting here as a walk in but I've been to this location many times as a walk-in and with appointments and I highly recommend going here. It's always well kept and on days I come in, it's usually not as busy compared to the Lakewood location. The receptionist, nurses and NP/s have always been kind, helpful and very informative. Let me remind some people that PP is free/low cost and it's disgusting that some girls think it's ok to talk and treat the staff poorly because they're simply asking for your information. You're literally getting many services here for FREE! There aren't enough thank yous in this world to give to PP and the staff here! read more

Love this place so thoughtful and always is very understanding. When coming to medical places I am always scared and uncomfortable but here I can be myself ask as many questions and get all my options. They think about what is best for you and your body! Recommend highly no matter what age. Never let me down even when I can in with questions as a teen. read more

False advertising! I came here because the website said that they took walk-ins. I couldn't schedule an appointment online so I went in as a walk-in during their posted walk-in hours; right in the middle of those hours, mind you, not at the end of the posted walk-in times. The receptionist was very curt with me about how maybe I could not be seen today right from the get-go. Not very customer friendly when you consider that it is because of me, or the fact that I actually show up, that gives her a job. What an ingrate! Anyway, any more smart ass behavior from these guys--and I will speak out against them the first chance I get. read more

Staff is great friendly and understanding they make you feel comfortable. No wait time

Making this review as I am currently waiting to be seen. My appointment was set for 9:15AM and it's been well over an hour. What's the point of making appointments if we won't be seen at that time? It's ridiculous. read more

Come here almost every 3 months and the staff has always been so helpful and educating towards me. Waiting time is always over an hour but already accustomed and is no worries for me since I know I'll be in and out quick! Thank you guys!! read more

I wasn't expecting the long wait, however, the staff was kind & professional. I had no problem with the staff at all

I came in today on a Saturday around 11:30 and I was out before 1. When I left it was a lot more full in the waiting room. I had never been to a planned parenthood but I just recently became unemployed and no longer have insurance and wanted to get back on BC. I filled out some paperwork met some awesome employees and The girl was super informative on all the diff types there is. No charge for anything and I am super happy with this experience. read more

30 year supporter of planned parenthood and have been going to this location for over 4 years for full healthcare. Routine annual exams, gynecological health, birth control counseling and methods. The wait is sometimes longer than normal, but, the staff is considerate and work as quickly as they can. read more

I set up an appointment and filled out all the information online of why I was going, my insurance information, etc. Everything online said I was good, that insurance would be used and didn't mention any out of pocket cost. A week later I go to my appointment fill out all the paperwork and sit through the wait time, only for them to tell me they don't accept my insurance and that I will have to pay out of pocket immediately +$200, even despite the fact I told them I'm on a $0 income household due to Covid. Waste of time and terrible service, why take my insurance and then wait until my appointment to say it doesn't work and surprise me with an outrageous cost, not like it was just a small fee. read more

This location has been the best that I have been too. The staff is comforting and very knowledgeable when it comes to reproductive health.

The front desk ladies were rude and acted like I was an inconvenience because I couldn't hear them through the plexiglass. The nurse was nice. The practitioner, Tori, was fake nice but I could feel her judgements as she probed me for information. I eventually gave in and told my embarrassing story to why I was there because it felt like I was going to continue to get probed and she asked me 4 times if I was still seeing the guy. I understand asking me for my own health and safety, but 4 times seemed excessive. I was also sent home with a flyer about genital cleanliness which was far from being related to my actual visit. I'm also a grown woman.. I've been well aware of how to properly clean myself lol. I have never felt so negative coming out of a doctor's appointment. I'm a supporter of planned parenthood but y'all have got to treat your patients with more kindness and respect. If you don't like dealing with low income patients then maybe it's time for a different job.. read more

I cannot express my gratitude enough to the staff, from front desk, medical assistants, nurses, and doctors and anyone else helping this place provide the excellent care I received. I am truly grateful and feel so relieved and just in awe of how wonderful it is to live in California and be able to access this type of care with such ease. The staff are the most professional and reassuringly kind in a way that made me feel way better. Of course I was nervous getting an abortion but I quickly found out that's normal for everyone regardless. The medical team at Long Beach Planned Parenthood I believe saved my life, getting unexpectedly pregnant in this relationship I'm in was a disaster. Let's just say we are not exactly compatible, to put it lightly. Bringing a child into this situation would have been veryirresponsible and harmful. I would not want to put any human let alone a child through this. I am barely keeping my own head above the water. Not to mention the legal upheaval of reproductive rights in this country and the precarious fight women and abortion providers are facing at the hands of people who say they are pro life but will literally threaten the lives of all involved but the unborn, not yet viable fetus that has no consciousness of anything yet. Its a difficult choice for many but that's just it. It's a choice. No one is forcing you to do it if you don't want to, so why would you turn around and force others to do what you want? Anyway, that was a tangent and a half. My point is, my experience was excellent, I feel so lucky to have access to great medical team and care in this state. Some of these other reviews are awfully nitpicky and don't seem to understand the difference between straight forward interactions with a well trained staff at a professional business and say, some overly helpful salesperson at a retail store with a plastered on fake smile. I for one, prefer people that are genuine and straight to the point. Contrary to what haters say, no one is trying to sell you anything. They are there to help and they did exactly that. Afterwards in recovery I never felt so warm and cozy in my life, forrealz. read more

Marcela was amazing! She answered every question I had! This place keeps couples safe! definitely recommend the staff and service

funny, and caring staff. they listened to my concerns and made me feel normal and not embarrassed.

The front desk people here are rude as fuck . Just rude. Rude when you first walk in, and rude when you are checking in. Every encounter with them is terrible. They don't greet you, they don't smile. It's like they hate to be here. When you're next to be checked in, They just let you stand in line waiting without even addressing you or saying give me a moment please. What type of service???? Last time I was here I had an 8:15 appointment, but they were letting walk ins go ahead of me and I ended up waiting an hour to be seen. But what's crazy about that is, during a previous visit when I was a walk in, they were telling me it didn't matter what time I came in, any appointments that came in after me had priority to be seen, even tho I was there waiting first. So which one is it???? Y'all need to get it together. Also, during one of my visits, the nurse INSISTED that I had to restart my birth control shot. I was so confused! And she was starting to get irritated at me but I know when I scheduled my appointment; I did not miss my allotted time to get my shot! I made my appointment over the phone and I made sure to ask what the dates were to get my next shot and I went based off of what THEY told me! But no the nurse kept insisting I was wrong!! She finally went and got the doctor, who told her that I was in fact on time and I didn't have to restart. These people are prideful, grumpy, and have very bad customer service! Typically the nurses and doctors are fine, but I guess that day was a bad day for them idk. The front desk is ALWAYS rude. Just bc you hate your job don't take it out on the patients. I understand they are short staffed right now, but they also just sent away a walk in!! And there's literally only 2 people waiting in the lobby ! Wtf! read more

I just got my first IUD at 15 and had a great experience at this location. I would recommend making an appointment because it is way quicker. The nurses that attended me were really informative and kind. I was running short on time and had forgot to eat and, the nurse gave me some juice and crackers so I wouldn't be on a empty stomach and faint. I would rate the pain a 5/10. I most of all loved my experience because the nurse explained to me everything she was going to do and how it would feel before doing it. For any women that are thinking of getting an IUD the pain feels like 3 strong cramps. Last step(when placed) is the strongest cramp. I was warned when I was going to receive a cramp and breathing in and the breathing out when feeling the pain helped out a lot. I would also recommend focusing on one spot in the sky. Also you should remind your self constantly that the pain is temporary and will only get better after time. Remember to have safe sex and do what's best for you and your body! Love yourself and do your research before getting anything placed in your body read more

The receptionist was very rude. I felt like an inconvenience to her just walking in. She was not helpful. Any question I asked there was a sigh and annoyance in her voice. Definitely not going to this location again. read more

I've been coming here for a few years now. I've always loved most of the staff and how clean the facility is. I pretty much only come in once a year for birth control refill and I ALWAYS make an appointment. The last 3 times including today (right now), I've waited an hr or more just to be called. I came in 15 minutes before my 11am appointment today. At around 11am some guy walks in, waits about 5-10 minutes and then gets called up? I immediately went up to the receptionist (white girl) and asked her why this guy was going in when I've been waiting before him WITH an appointment. She looked confused, asked me my name and put some file into a pouch. Almost like she forgot to put my file in. Then says to me that there's 1 person ahead of me. Still not answering my question as to why this dude is in before me, but whatever, I say it's fine and sit back down. Well, still waited another 5 people or so before i was called. Not as bad as last time where I waited 2 hours to be called, then another hour after that just to get my pills. You sit there all day, but can't keep organized enough to do your job right? Or what's the hold up? I'll still continue to come here; I'd say it's one of the nicest and cleanest in the south bay/long beach area, but honestly, receptionist: get your shit together. read more

I came in today and the place was PACKED. My heart sank a little. It took an hour and a half to get back for the first part of my appointment, but it flew by because they had the Robert Irvine show on and everyone in the waiting room was cracking jokes about it. The supervisor even came out with water for everyone saying she knew we'd been waiting a long time and wanted to make us as comfortable as possible. The woman who did my intake was great - she was in awesome spirits despite the fact she'd been there almost 9 hours and hadn't even gotten a break to eat (apparently no one there had because of how busy it was and how hard they were trying to get everyone taken care of in a timely fashion). When I went back to the waiting room to wait for the next part of my exam the supervisor came out and apologized for the long waits, explaining how slammed they were, and offered to take everyone's information down to tell them how long of a wait they could expect. Can't say enough good things about her and how well she took care of everyone there. It took about 45 minutes for me to get back to a practitioner. I saw Debbie and she was incredible. She listened to all my problems and even went and did extra research so she could find the perfect solution for me. She was super thorough and knowledgeable, explained things well, and really made me feel respected and heard. I am going to request to see her any time I need to go back. It was the best experience I've had with a practitioner at PP. So yes, the wait time sucked today, but it was clear to me that the wait wasn't due to anyone slacking off. Quite the opposite, actually. Everyone was working so hard and were kind and apologetic about the waits. In times like that, I always remind myself that sometimes people need extra care, and if a doctor's office is running behind it's because they gave that extra care without taking away time and attention from their other patients. Having been in doctor's offices where the doctor is in and out so fast you can't even say what's going on, I really appreciate when doctors make you a priority over a strict schedule. read more

If I could give this place zero stars, which it deserves, i would. People here are so rude, bitchy, and have major attitude. Especially with quarantine doing on they are rude. Just shows how people really are in times like these. read more
