Dr. Olsund NOT RECOMMENDED - Uterine Niche Repair The staff at Marina OB-GYN were very kind and helpful, but my experience with Dr. Elisabeth Olsund was extremely disappointing. I scheduled my appointment about three weeks in advance and clearly explained what the visit was for -- a uterine niche (isthmocele) repair consultation. When I arrived, I went through the normal check-in process: weight, height, blood pressure, etc. A medical assistant then came in and told me that the doctor couldn't see me unless she had my medical records. I said that wasn't a problem and that I could get them sent over right away. I also pushed back and asked why the doctor couldn't at least come in and meet me during my scheduled appointment time -- I had an appointment, and she had that time blocked for me. Still, the assistant said no, the doctor wouldn't come in until she reviewed the records. The assistant then encouraged me to call my other doctors to get the records, and she and the staff worked closely with me to make it happen. They were even on the computer trying to download and properly upload everything for the doctor. So the doctor was fully aware that we were actively getting her everything she needed in order to see me. Despite that, once all the records and images were sent and confirmed, the assistant came back and said the doctor still wouldn't see me because her schedule was now full. Dr. Olsund never came out to meet me, introduce herself, or even apologize for the situation. For a patient coming in for a specialized procedure, this lack of professionalism and basic courtesy was unacceptable. I left feeling completely dismissed and disrespected. Either the doctor isn't confident in performing the procedure, or she simply didn't care enough to speak to me directly. In either case, I would not recommend her. A doctor who won't even come in during a scheduled appointment -- after all records were provided -- should not be trusted to perform surgery. read more

Jessica is a god-send. How you begin a visits and end a visit makes all the difference in the world. The doctor seems sweet but not always attentive. She seems to have good medical acumen, but should listen to her patients who come with non typical symptoms. read more

This is an amazing OB clinic. I've been coming here for over a year... their physician at a different location (Dr. Oslund) helped me get pregnant and I came to this Carson office for a bunch of my appointments because it's much closer to my home. Special thanks to the front desk receptionist Jessica, who has helped me with what feels like countless inquiries lol -- from basic appointment booking, to squeezing me in for blood tests, to getting me in touch with the right people when I was having issues with my pregnancy disability leave. Dr. Rose and PA Jessica Utech are both phenomenal... kind, take their time with you, have excellent bedside manner, and honestly helped me so much throughout my pregnancy. I brought my Mother to one appointment and even she loved them, which says a lot because she doesn't trust just any physician lol. I saw Jessica Utech at this 301 Carson Street location on 11/13/23. She was horrible to me. She was irritable and downright mean. She also failed to call in the medication that she was supposed to. She pushed me to get an invasive procedure that I asked her 2-3 questions about. Jessica Utech, PA did not like that I asked questions about the invasive procedure. She then put in a Referral for me to go to see Dr Lipeles at a different Marina Obgyn location, to get the procedure done. I was Jessica's last appointment of the day (at 301 Carson St), and she was in a huge rush to leave. I sat in my car in utter shock, baffled as to how poorly she had treated me. I thought that at least I should meet the doctor who would potentially do the invasive procedure, and see if he was any better then her. As Jessica and her 2 nurses were closing up shop, (at this 301 Carson St location) I walked up to Jessica and asked her if it was possible to meet Dr Lipeles before having him do an invasive procedure. She shouted at me "No!!" And held out her hand toward my face. I was shocked at this unprofessional behavior. I began to walk back to my car and she shouted "Get your car off my lot!!!" (301 Carson Street) Clearly I was walking back to my car to do just that. I pulled off of the lot at 301 Carson Street, and into a neighboring strip mall, parked, and burst out crying. I was crying for a while because I had never had a medical "professional" treat me as poorly as Jessica did (and boy have I had my share of bad ones in 47 years). It took me a while before I was able to drive home from Carson. I later got MANY communications from Marina Obgyn confirming my upcoming appointment on 12/7/23 to get the procedure Jessica Utech (301 Carson St) referred me for. I decided I would give Dr Lipeles a chance and go in for the procedure Jessica suggested. Well when 12/7/23 arrived, and I had been sitting in their waiting room for 2 hours, I got a call from Cynthia (the manager at 301 Carson St), informing me that I would NOT be seen by Dr Lipeles because Jessica Utech made an allegation that she felt unsafe around me (a single disabled woman) because they were alleging that "I followed Jessica Utech to her car" (in the parking lot of 301 Carson St) and even "chased after her, to her car" (This is an absurd allegation because I am a disabled woman and not even able to run, & I usually walk with a cane). I Should have been informed in Advance that Jessica and Cynthia (both from 301 Carson St) had banned me from all of Marina Obgyn, but instead COUNTLESS communications led me to believe that I would be seen by Dr Lipeles on 12/7/23, include a series of texts to which I confirmed, called to confirm, and even did online check in early. Jessica set back my health care by 2 months. Also of note, there was no doctor present on 11/13/23 when I had my appointment at their 301 Carson Street location. Finally, it must be noted that I did NOT get a Pap from them on 11/13/23 but they are CLAIMING that I did, and billing my insurance for it, pic attached. read more

I had a pretty good visit here today. I am a new patient. The waiting room is newly renovated in appearance. It was nice and fresh. There is a tiny parking lot with only a few spaces. The receptionist was friendly. The intake nurse was very easy to talk to. The Dr. was great. She is young, nice, caring and professional. She took her time and explained my options to me. The whole visit lasted an hour and a half. It was a little long and warm in the room. I feel comfortable moving forward with surgery with this group. read more

I came here for a yearly physical check up and they were very thorough in explaining everything as to what they can do here and what they may need to get further authorization for. Would not recommend coming here, towards the end of my pregnancy the doctor wouldn't show up to the appointments and they never called me to let me know. After pregnancy, I suffered from postpartum depression all they did was give me a number to call but I was never able to reach anyone. When I went back for appointment they said the same thing to call a few numbers but again I wasn't able to each anyone. Also. I called my Obgyn office about getting disability and they said I needed to reach my primary doctor and that they weren't able to help me. This location gave me so much stress, after all my friend told me to call her psychiatrist and they were able to help me. read more
