After a beautiful walk around Baldwin Park, my boyfriend and I were exhausted from the Florida heat and definitely needed to recharge before grocery shopping next door at Publix. This location is nestled in a cut through off Main in Baldwin. There is a few tables outside and in the middle is a raised area with more tables where you mostly find families sitting. When we arrived early afternoon there was only a couple guys sitting inside and we were able to order right away. We decided upon the large strawberry colada to split. The staff went right away to making it. The staff wasn't rude but wasn't friendly either. I know everyone has their days, but it would have been nice to be greeted when entering or just better people skills in general. The smoothie was 44oz so it is a big large size. More than enough for us to split. I really enjoyed it. My boyfriend didn't like the shredded coconut throughout it but I liked it alot! The strawberry taste was very strong too. I love planet smoothie but this location I'm not a fan of which is disappointing because I am a Baldwin Park resident. They close at 8pm but the employees tend to close up early, lock the door and not even look your direction. It has happened on multiple occasions. This associate named Lukas made my Small PBJ smoothie. The smoothie tasted good but the whole transaction was trash service from beginning to end. I am not going back like ever again as long as she's working. No welcome, smug attitude, she signed, gave dirty looks and head nods as if to say "hurry up and order already" look. I love Planet Smoothie. Honestly all locations. This place is convenient because we like to rollerblade around Lake Baldwin and this makes for the perfect break time treat. Outside from that ONE day, they usually always have all ingredients on hand. Staff is always friendly here. There is street parking available on New Broad Street, as well as parking in the parking lot on the other side by Publix Liquor. Cute area outside to enjoy your smoothie. There was not a line behind us, but still, they could have gotten all eye-rolling and stuff at mom but they were very chillaxed. + 1 Star - Dang Tasty! I have smoothies all the time in LA at Robeks and Jamba Juice and these ppl make a better smoothy. The Goat was smooth and thick but drinkable through the straw with no lumps. It also stayed frozen til the very end - a rare feat considering that 32 ounces is a heck of a lot!! I had a hybird juice drink - sort of a Leapin Lizard with banana. Good, not too sweet and a genuine fruit flavor. I can't tell from the website what type of juices/fruits they use (and I was too hungry to ask!) but it tastes less sugar-y sticky than many others. - 1 Star - Price. The ONLY bummer. Yeah, we had a coupon and that helped but $5 for a smoothie is still steep. I guess it's the cost of business nowadays. But... Very tasty side-trip after a gym trip! After a hard workout at LA Fitness, this place may seem light-years away. But it was well worth the drive to Baldwin Park to get here. There were a lot of choices from fruit based smoothies to protein/energy smoothies. The Choco-Monkey smoothie was fantastic to recharge with. And even the smallest size lasted quite a bit of time. The only drawbacks for this place was that it was a little silent (no music, no TV, nothing. I could still hear my own heartbeat), and the prices were......well, pricey. But honestly, if you make a good product then usually I'll suck it up and pay what you're asking. And they do have great stuff, so, well done! read more

Of the three employees at this location when I visited, 1 acknowledged me after I had been standing for a good minute with no other customers around. If I could give less I would. I tried to order 2 different coffee drinks and the lady said she didn't know how to make it cause they don't have the right stuff to make it.... finally I just ordered an iced latte. And half way through her making it, I realized she was making it a hot version. She said sorry, no one really orders iced so I forgot. Planet smoothie, stick to what you know please.
