Today we had a very frustrating experience at the drive-thru at Dutch Bros Coffee. This location uses the standard double-line setup with signs instructing customers to pull into the shortest line before merging at the window. We followed the directions and waited patiently in our lane, but while we sat there, three other vehicles pulled into the opposite lane after us and were all attended to and served before an employee even acknowledged our car. We ended up sitting there feeling completely overlooked while customers who arrived later were helped first. The system only works if both lines are monitored fairly and consistently. We have upgraded to better snacks! It's not just muffin tops and cake pops anymore. Dutch bros now has sliders and chorizo wraps! Small and mighty on the delicious. 2 for $6 is not the worst price for a quick breakfast with your coffee. Today I tried a half caff Americano with sugar free raspberry and sugar free dark chocolate syrup and protein milk and it tasted REALLY good for being sugar free. I'm not a huge fan of the Drive Thru places, so I was glad they had a place to park where I could walk up to the window and order. I chose to get an Iced Kicker and added an extra shot, at the recommendation of a Dutch Bros. pro. I enjoyed the drink and a medium was a good size. I get that many coffee places are drive-thru and order window only (like a twistee treat for coffee), but I prefer a place that lets me go inside. I don't why but I love that they have a secret menu so accessible on the app. I'm a sucker for the different combinations. If you like endless variety like me, you'll love Dutch Bros. The service is awesome but they are very slow. So make sure to carve out at least a half hour to pick up your order even if you order in advance in the app. Other than that, the coffee is good. Kayla was absolutely wonderful, kind and helpful. She ran down the list and gave me suggestions. I ordered the Irish cream latte and the chai latte. I didn't like the Irish cream one so Chloe remade it for me and made sure I loved it before driving off. I am a big fan of Dutch Bros, and I wish there was a location closer to me. There is usually a line here, but it moves pretty fast unless it's wrapped around the parking lot. Since it's in a plaza with two other popular chains, it can be hard to maneuver around and find parking during peak times. The staff are very friendly, and they do their best to work quickly when the line is long. I love the Iced Golden Eagle with oat milk, as well as their lemonades and dirty sodas. I went for a cold caramel macchiato in the medium size. The size I got I feel would have been a large at Starbucks and the price was about a third less. They don't appear to have any pastry or snack items so this is a drink only situation. I imagine a mid day pick me up would be where Dutch Bros gets their business. Now that I type this I think that might be a good reason for the energy drinks. I did the walk up because it was new to me and I noticed the drive through was pretty busy at about 3 cars deep on each side. As an East Coast person, I wondered why so much excitement, especially when we pulled up to the long lines at the two drive-thru lanes. My friend really enjoys the "911 blended" ("like a dessert in a cup", he says). I always get the cold brew with nothing added aside from the ice. I was surprised by the smoothness and flavor and order it every time I go. Other non-coffee beverages include energy, protein, lemonade, ice tea, hot chocolate, and sparkling soda. Kudos to the employees taking orders from the cars waiting in line, especially in the Florida heat and humidity and no available shade. The employees at the one drive up window have been friendly, helpful, and even cheerful. Unfortunately, the wait and lines are long. The location does have a walk up order window but the heat and humidity have deterred me from finding out if it's a faster process than staying in an air conditioned vehicle. Lastly, leaving the store can be a bit confusing. We found ourselves going south on 436/Semoran and then needing to pull a Floridian u-turn to go back north. So, since I was in Orlando a few weeks ago for a festival and being the lover of coffee that I am, I urged my friend to check this place out! We got there and the line was long. We used the menu on their website but it wasn't super clear on how to order certain modifications. I can only drink cold brew coffee and most of their drinks are espresso based hence why I wanted to modify my drink. Their crew is very nice. I had been wanting to try this new coffee place on the corner of Semoran Blvd and University Ave in Winter Park. I had a free medium drink for signing up through the app. Hey! I had problems ordering through the app yesterday, so I gave up, but I went in today, placed my order while my car was warming up and on my way I went to pickup my Vanilla Protein Latte and keep driving to work. I got there and went to the window. I thought my latte was going to be waiting for me, but no, I had to wait. I know that Dutch Bros is synonymous with really long wait to get your order but sometimes I just don't have the time to wait and it is a bit hit or miss or timing. Despite the long wait times, the staff is very friendly and im hoping with the mobile ordering that has recently been implemented, it will help streamline the queue for ordering. After seeing the extreme long lines when passing by this location, I knew that whenever I planned to visit it needed to be very early to beat the wait. On the way to MCO, I got my morning fuel. I FINALLY got to try Dutch Bros! I ordered the Golden Eagle which is a vanilla and caramel breve with caramel drizzle, I really liked the coffee but I felt like it was watered down a bit, maybe I'll try another iced latte that isn't made with breve which takes away from the coffee flavor. I also tried the Double Rainbro and omg that was so good and refreshing! It's a sparkling water drink with strawberry, peach and coconut. For this being a brand new coffee shop and the line was the long, the "broistas" were so nice and the service was quick and efficient! This is an outside or drive thru only ( no lobby or restrooms) coffee spot from out west. The coffee is very smooth, not over roasted beans like some other large coffee spots. However, many of the drinks can come very sweet so if that's not your thing be sure to order without flavor. My ultimate favorite drink is just a simple nitro cold brew, which comes in a can and it's one price regardless of the size a cup, which is just ice. It was delicious and such a sweet treat but wouldn't come back mainly because of the extremely long wait time. I had a free drink reward on the app for registering and so I thought I would cash it in since I'm from out of town and was passing by. Once you are in the drive thru you are there to commit because there is no way you can get out once you get in line. The two lanes barely move an inch every few minutes. If you're in a hurry do not come here . I don't think it's worth the price either but it is as quiet refreshing on a hot day.
