Today we had a very frustrating experience at the drive-thru at Dutch Bros Coffee. This location uses the standard double-line setup with signs instructing customers to pull into the shortest line before merging at the window. We followed the directions and waited patiently in our lane, but while we sat there, three other vehicles pulled into the opposite lane after us and were all attended to and served before an employee even acknowledged our car. We ended up sitting there feeling completely overlooked while customers who arrived later were helped first. The system only works if both lines are monitored fairly and consistently. This was my OG location prior to the goldenrod location opening. Sometimes the line is crazy but today it was quick and painless. The workers are friendly but they were not overly talkative which I prefer. My biggest issue is that the last three times I have been through, my drink isn't correct. I have spoken to corporate number of times and they always tell me to get my drink remade, but I don't always have time to go back through the line. We have upgraded to better snacks! It's not just muffin tops and cake pops anymore. Dutch bros now has sliders and chorizo wraps! Small and mighty on the delicious. 2 for $6 is not the worst price for a quick breakfast with your coffee. Today I tried a half caff Americano with sugar free raspberry and sugar free dark chocolate syrup and protein milk and it tasted REALLY good for being sugar free. Kayla was absolutely wonderful, kind and helpful. She ran down the list and gave me suggestions. I ordered the Irish cream latte and the chai latte. I didn't like the Irish cream one so Chloe remade it for me and made sure I loved it before driving off. I am a big fan of Dutch Bros, and I wish there was a location closer to me. There is usually a line here, but it moves pretty fast unless it's wrapped around the parking lot. Since it's in a plaza with two other popular chains, it can be hard to maneuver around and find parking during peak times. I went for a cold caramel macchiato in the medium size. The size I got I feel would have been a large at Starbucks and the price was about a third less. They don't appear to have any pastry or snack items so this is a drink only situation. I imagine a mid day pick me up would be where Dutch Bros gets their business. Now that I type this I think that might be a good reason for the energy drinks. I did the walk up because it was new to me and I noticed the drive through was pretty busy at about 3 cars deep on each side. As an East Coast person, I wondered why so much excitement, especially when we pulled up to the long lines at the two drive-thru lanes. My friend really enjoys the "911 blended" ("like a dessert in a cup", he says). I always get the cold brew with nothing added aside from the ice. I was surprised by the smoothness and flavor and order it every time I go. Other non-coffee beverages include energy, protein, lemonade, ice tea, hot chocolate, and sparkling soda. Kudos to the employees taking orders from the cars waiting in line, especially in the Florida heat and humidity and no available shade. The employees at the one drive up window have been friendly, helpful, and even cheerful. Unfortunately, the wait and lines are long. The location does have a walk up order window but the heat and humidity have deterred me from finding out if it's a faster process than staying in an air conditioned vehicle. Lastly, leaving the store can be a bit confusing. We found ourselves going south on 436/Semoran and then needing to pull a Floridian u-turn to go back north. I had seen it posted on social media before but there are no locations in south Florida. So, since I was in Orlando a few weeks ago for a festival and being the lover of coffee that I am, I urged my friend to check this place out! We got there and the line was long. We used the menu on their website but it wasn't super clear on how to order certain modifications. I can only drink cold brew coffee and most of their drinks are espresso based hence why I wanted to modify my drink. Their crew is very nice. I had been wanting to try this new coffee place on the corner of Semoran Blvd and University Ave in Winter Park. I had a free medium drink for signing up through the app. Hey! I had problems ordering through the app yesterday, so I gave up, but I went in today, placed my order while my car was warming up and on my way I went to pickup my Vanilla Protein Latte and keep driving to work. I know that Dutch Bros is synonymous with really long wait to get your order but sometimes I just don't have the time to wait and it is a bit hit or miss or timing. Despite the long wait times, the staff is very friendly and im hoping with the mobile ordering that has recently been implemented, it will help streamline the queue for ordering. After seeing the extreme long lines when passing by this location, I knew that whenever I planned to visit it needed to be very early to beat the wait. On the way to MCO, I got my morning fuel. Waited an hour and thirty minutes for an iced golden eagle chai with oat milk and soft top . It was delicious and such a sweet treat but wouldn't come back mainly because of the extremely long wait time. I had a free drink reward on the app for registering and so I thought I would cash it in since I'm from out of town and was passing by. Once you are in the drive thru you are there to commit because there is no way you can get out once you get in line. The two lanes barely move an inch every few minutes. If you're in a hurry do not come here . I don't think it's worth the price either but it is as quiet refreshing on a hot day. I probably would've gotten a small if I knew how big it would be. It tasted meh, not good or bad. They don't have many food options, and what they do have has way too much added sugar for me. And just as expected, everyone was super excited and friendly. The drive thru line was crazy filled, which I was surprised because I feel like they didn't advertise them opening up but it's great to see them having such great success on day one! So happy to have one close by. I ordered the mocha, and it is just so good! We also got Moogly (my dog) a pup cup and he very much enjoyed it. I love how they have their own pup cups and way easier for dogs to enjoy it in a little bowl rather than an actual cup. For 7:30am it was very busy but even with that we got our order pretty quick! I arrived at Dutch Bros at 6 AM this morning on opening day! It was already such a vibe with the music and decorations. All of the employees seemed genuinely happy to be there. One of the "Broristas", maybe he was a manager, was handing out stickers. It wasn't too busy yet but I can't imagine how busy they're going to get today - especially being right across from Full Sail! I ordered a Blended Golden Eagle as well as an iced Golden Eagle (no ice since I was taking it to someone). The staff was super accommodating with the no ice - offered to fill it all the way or partially - however I wanted. I opted for partial to leave room for ice for my friend. The drinks came out quick and were delicious as always! I also met my friend and nephew there and he got a free birthday drink! (He turns 8 today!) I'm so happy to have Dutch Bros in Florida!
