Saw reviews of this place online and wanted to give it a try! I like supporting small business. My friend and I went last week. The guy working I am assuming is the owner was very warm and friendly! We asked him about several drinks and after explaining I decided to try the Oreo cookie latte! And wow it was amazing! Sweet enough but not overly sweet which is just my speed. My friend got Matcha and she said it was really good. Cute little eclectic place and I can't wait to go back and try other stuff!

    Pumpkin Spice Latte

I Ordered a Pumpkin Spice Latte w Almond Milk, no whip cream. Mind you, this was on a Saturday at 9:30am when I walked in. Line wasn't crazy but apparently there was a to go order that was in queue before I ordered. Took them 25 mins to make the coffee from the time I ordered. At that point, the only thing that would "save" a repeat visit from me would be the Latte being on point with the flavor and temperature of the coffee up there with "Hot". I get it got busy for 2 people working a business which is why I moved on from that and hoped the coffee would hit the spot. It did not. It was over spiced, about 100* within 5-10 mins of being served. I live under 2 miles from driveway to parking so transportation time wasn't a factor. Paid $6.92 for a luke warm latte that was over spiced and a bit too sweet. Not good..

We tried 2 different drinks there. We sat outside and it was peaceful. Taste of the coffees were great and the service was excellent.

I remembered Donut King is open late (until 9:00pm today), and I am glad I took a longer drive. I didn't know they were giving away a free donut today. I truly felt blessed (lol). I went in for a glazed twist donut that's combined with regular Donut dough and chocolate dough. Walking out with a free vanilla iced donut was a great way to celebrate National Donut Day. While it was obvious they were VISITED today, and the plaza isn't the cutest, the Donut quality is great, and the customer service I received today was PHENOMENAL. The gentleman with the bandana was extremely kind.

Consistent in quality like a blue chip stock that you hold onto for 35 years. Ambiance is great. Storefront is in a dingy strip mall, but inside is a wall of donuts that looks like the Great Wall of China in donut form. A formidable display of deliciousness that will make your day better from the very start. Service is equally as formidable. There are always a ton of people in line, but they serve their way through them very quickly and efficiently. Very nice folks, and they always seem to have everything in stock. The donuts themselves are the best part. Soft, airy, topped with the perfect amount of toppings, filled with the perfect amount of fillings, and there are a few truly unique offerings that are very intriguing. You just can't go wrong. Overall, other gourmet offerings are out there, and they're pretty good, too, but Donut King is my original, and quite frankly, if I'm driving out to the coast for a long day of birding, I would pick the King over any of those other places anyway,

Another reviewer accurately described it as a "cronut", or a mash-up of a croissant and a doughnut. The texture is different but the sweet factor is intact! We chose a Saturday morning to visit because our son was available and wanted to check out Parlor, since he is a doughnut aficionado. We found plenty of available parking spots. The bright interior with east-facing windows and white and blue tile made for a cheery atmosphere. Of course the doughnuts and good service add to the brightness. A French Toast doughnut, Spinach Pesto Breakfast Sandwich (a lovely savory and served in a ciabatta roll), and Proper Coffee (drip) were ordered on this visit and throughly enjoyed while sitting on comfy chairs. The laid-back, family-friendly character of the shop was a welcome change. I'd like to return in the near future after 11 am when the Savory Layered Doughnuts are being served!

The Vibe: The interior is super cute and inviting, and the staff was friendly. The parking lot is on the smaller side, but we got lucky and found a spot easily since it wasn't too busy when we arrived. What We Ordered: * Raspberry Filled Donut * "Sandy Beach" (cinnamon roll-style) * Two Cold Brews They still had a great variety of donuts available, even later in the afternoon, which was a nice surprise. The Donuts: Here's where it comes down to personal preference. These are not your traditional donuts--they're more like a croissant-donut hybrid (think cronut) with a layered, slightly brioche-like texture. Flaky, layered--not your classic donut. If you love that style, you may really enjoy these. For us, we were expecting a more traditional donut, and unfortunately the texture just wasn't our favorite. The Sandy Beach had great flavor, but the texture didn't quite land for me. The raspberry filled had a very standard berry filling that leaned a bit artificial. Drinks: The cold brew was also a miss for us--a bit too acidic and not as smooth as we'd hoped. Overall: While the flavors and textures weren't quite what we were looking for, I can definitely see the appeal for those who enjoy a cronut-style donut. Friendly service and a cute space made for a pleasant visit overall. One thing that did catch our eye is that they offer savory donuts, which sounded really interesting--we'd definitely come back to give those a try. Pro tip: Go in knowing these are croissant-style donuts, not traditional cake or yeast donuts--it makes all the difference.
