She sounded young, difficult to understand, but she asked angrily what my problem was... said she called me 2 years ago & that she had resolved this for me. She did not resolve anything for me, & did not make me feel any better, not then, definitely not now. She wanted to pinpoint when exactly I had my Brazilian waxing done. I wasn't going to be interrogated, harassed, or gaslit. I told her that I've been there more than once, & I don't appreciate her calling to argue with me. I am entitled to an honest review of my experience & my feelings concerning it. She sounded argumentative wanting to argue the exact date & what happened, saying she had video proof. I told her that I've been there more than once, & left the room at different times & there is nothing to argue about. She has never cared about my feelings & experience there. The Brazilian waxing covers a delicate area, you need to trust the place you go to, and this Manager woman just makes the whole experience so much worse for me. I should have never given this place my business in the past, should've stayed at a better sugaring place in Oviedo which was honestly so extremely sweet, kind, caring, & patient. I even bought a nicely scented exfoliant from the previous sugaring place. Less painful overall also because that other place in Oviedo, FL was so much more caring and professional, protecting my dignity & privacy. My review that I wrote last night: I got a Brazilian wax here, and was very nervous. The young woman was nice and let me talk nervously as I was being waxed. It hurt at times and she couldn't calm me down or make me feel better like a previous place would. It was sort of a cold environment emotionally. I quickly went to the ladies room, and saw a front desk person with her neck pressed up against the wall right where I had been laying listening to my room. I was shocked when I saw her and felt like my privacy had completely been violated. That was completely unfair. I complained to management when a woman called me, and nothing was done. Unprofessional. That was the last time I went there. I had seen high schoolers there getting their hair blown out or put up for a dance.

She was easy to communicate with and very down-to-earth. She is getting her business up and running, so she's still tweaking things, but her technique is SPOT ON. She had adequate intake and exit. She really took care of my neck issues and I found out she went to school where I used to work, so I know she learned from the best! So I got undressed and under the sheets and she had a BELL for me to ring so I'm not waiting for her to return and cutting into my time or trying to scream through the door that I'm ready. I got a long overdue Therapeutic Massage which is more expensive than the Swedish, but she really spoiled me with the hot towels. She concentrated on my neck and upper back/shoulders, which I need since I'm in front of a computer all day. Her draping was good and she also ended with my feet. I love that so she's not touching the rest of my body after she rubbed on my peds. She has monthly autopay packages that offer discounted prices, which is what I signed up for. This week was first time back in a while, and I just went with the first available stylist because Bryan was out of town. I got medium-length gel x with chrome powder and no design, the same on all nails. I was expecting some sort of prep or manicuring of my cuticles and nails, as my nails were ineven lengths and I had lots of hangnails and excess skin from picking (which is the reason I was getting my nails done in the first place, it is impossible to pick skin with thick/dull extensions!) The only prep was sanding down the top layer of nails, which did help some with the excess skin near the cuticle When I left, I noticed many of my cuticles were flooded with gel, some of the side walls weren't painted, and the nail shape was generally what I asked for, but every nail looks a little different from the others. I really love the color I went with, and the technician was very kind and accommodating to my preferences, so I paid with tip and left, as I didn't feel like it was worth making a fuss about. I went home and trimmed what I could of the flooded gel myself with cuticle nippers Now, 2 days later, nearly all of my nails have the gel polish chipping off the gel x apres tip, and there is visible lifting on more than a few of the sidewalls due to the gel flooding :(. There are visible bubble shapes in the top coat, and you can easily see the black polish under the chrome due to the chipping. I am only in town for a short while and likely will not have the chance to go back and fix it. They still look beautiful from others' perspective, but for $80+ I would hope the same is true close up. I know I could likely go back in to have them fix it, but I am concerned with the health of my nail beds, and one visit to the salon alone involves enough sanding and buffing of the nail that I am not sure if it will be worth it. Overall, I did have a lovely time while I was there: nice music, salt scrub, and the tech was very gentle with my hands. The result was not what I had experienced in the past, though. I would have to really want it and have a very detail-oriented technician to consider another visit in the future.

It's surprising to me that not many who provide facial services do not do extractions. Not only one person but several people recommended Maria at Skin Dietician. When I arrived at their establishment, I was greeted immediately and treated with warmth and professionalism. Even though we were technically out of the pandemic, the first thing about my appointment that I loved was that I was asked to wash my hands. This place takes cleanliness and hygiene seriously! The room I was shown to was the first room upon entry into the suite. My aesthetician was Maria. In conversing with her during our session, it was evident that she is passionate about her work. And when it came time to doing the extractions, she did not play! She knew that it was a painful process, but she worked fast and cleared out as many pores as I could handle. Sometimes extractions really hurt, especially around the nose area, but that is totally normal!
