This is the place I go to get my nails and waxing done most consistently. I'm not that kind of person who makes appointments so I usually get a different person every time and generally speaking, my results have always been good! This is actually one of my favorite places to get my eyebrows waxed because they are one of the only places that always trims my brows and takes the time to pluck strays hairs afterwards. Good nail salon to pop in without an appointment. I had a free moment and needed a mani& pedi and LP nails was able to get me in the same day. On Sunday's they close at 6pm so it was very nice of my tech to accommodate both. Since it was my first time I kept it simple with a solid color. Their massage chairs were amazing. The massage chair was the best I've had, the foot massage was great and the color selection was amazing. However, I'm so disappointed with my polish job. It hasn't even been a week and my thumb nail and big toe polishes are already lifting. The nail tech put on like 4 layers of color because he kept wiping some off with each stroke so it left my polish really thick and vulnerable. The base and top coat didn't cover all the way to the end so it's basically a whole layer just ready to lift off. I pibe the polish colors so much that I want to buy them myself but I don't know what polish or colors they are...I think it was like 26 and 28 on one swatch but I don't remember. I used to come here a few years back semi-regularly. While running weekday errands, I decided to get a pedicure as a walk in. The staff was really welcoming and asked me to choose my color. I asked if they had different types of pedicures a few times, but no response so I got the classic ($30). There were 2 others getting pedicures at the time and I was sat directly next to one which wasn't fun for both of us. The massage chairs had potential--my chair must've been a little off because it was so noisy, but I chose being embarrassed over not using the massage features. The pedicure itself was thorough-- she scraped, exfoliated, massaged. I thought everything was great until I came home and saw the right toe. After my go to place unexpectedly closed, I've started visiting LP and each time is great. In the Milk District, LP is right in the middle of everything on 50. They offer a wide variety of services from mani/pedi to spa services like facials and massage. I like the pedi that offers an extra 15 minutes foot and leg massage. So great! They also just added new massage chairs where you can slide your arms in on the sides for pressure massage on your hands and arms! Very nice! LP offers a wide selection of polish, gels and powder and a good selection of sparkly options which you know I like! :) Appointments are available but walking are ok too. Only came here to remove acrylics that I had done at another salon a month prior. I requested that the nail tech remove the acrylics in a way that protects my natural nails underneath, and I liked how carefully she did the process and how quickly as well. I was finished in about 15 mins, and at other places for acrylic removal it took 30-45 mins to remove while protecting my natural nails. I visited this nail salon based on the reviews on YELP (whoot whoot!!!) I was going to be in the area for a doctors appointment and decided that I would try it out. Upon entering, the salon was very pretty, clean, and did not smell like a typical nail salon. I did not smell the acrylic scent or acetone. Everyone was very friendly in there, and they truly welcomed you in. I wanted a mermaid design on one of my fingers, and they said that they would be able to do it for me. The pedicure was nice and they use the liners which makes it very safe and sanitary. The music was great and the selection of the nail colors was astounding! They had about 100 gel nail colors that were OPI! It is definitely an OPI lovers dream! The chair is that they have at the nail stations are extremely comfortable, it is like being at home! Kate Did my nails, and my design was done by Noon. The design was slightly difficult and after two tries with two different people, Noon came in and saved the day! Unlike some other nail salons, they did not give up and they were trying their best. Whenever I am going to be in the area, I would love to come back again. I love that I'm always being asked how and if I want things done before they do it. I've been to this salon many times. Each time, it's a different experience. Most things I let go because the end result isn't terrible. Today, however, I left incredibly pissed off. I came in to get dip powder taken off and a new set put back on. The set taken off was an Apple red. There was the usual long wait for a walk in because they were busy (one of the things I let go in the past and let go today). I got the foil on my nails to start the removal process. The old dip powder gummed up after about 20-30 min of soaking in the acetone. Okay, normal. However, I asked the girl who was doing my nails to not use the drill on my natural nail to take off the rest because my nails are super thin already. She wouldn't listen and proceeded to do what she wanted. My nail bumped at one point on her hand and got a little messed up. She muttered something under her breath. Another nail looked like crap and I asked her to fix it. She muttered again. When she finally did use the hand file and buffer, they were old and dirty. The final straw was when I walked outside and noticed that there was still red from my previous manicure on some of the cuticle areas. I won't go here again. They're just too busy to bother taking proper care or listening to the client, so bye. read more

First off, I never knew LP Nails existed. They are located in the same plaza as the LA Fitness on 50, where I used to go to the gym. Again, I came during my lunch break, 1:00 p.m. Thankfully, I did not have to wait and was tended to immediately. I do not know the name of the lady who did my gel manicure but she did a great job. The nail tech left me to soak my feet and drink my wine while she grabbed my colors for me! Really nice of her. Side note: fixer upper was paying on TV which made me very happy since I adore Chip and Joanna Gaines. So cute! The place itself has 16 pedi chairs and 15 manicure stations. There's a private area for waxing and restrooms. Colors are plentiful and across the spectrum for choices. Most are OPI if that kind of thing matters to you. I have visited LP Nails & Spa more times than I can count on my fingers and toes. My service has always been exceptional and I've never waited longer than a few minutes without an appointment. They have several techs and I am convinced that they all do a wonderful job. Of course I have a favorite tech, mostly due to our conversations, but honestly they are all great! Keep in mind that Iv'e been to several Nails Salons and LP is the absolute best. So much so that I literally drive over 30 minutes just to be pampered at this particular establishment. This salon is my go to nail salon. The staff knows what they're doing and usually take their time when they're working with you. Every manicure I've gotten here has met my expectations. I usually get a gel manicure and they always get it right. I like that they let you relax and enjoy the pampering. The only reason I gave it 4 starts is the fact that they don't have individually packaged tools. I feel like they could use a cleaner system, but they always do their best at making sure all areas are clean and the products are sterilized with alcohol. Ive been to other salons because they were closer to me but I've never had the same results as when I come here. They also still encourage mask wearing which many other salons do not. Van is the best nail technician I've ever had. She's so good at what she does and she really cares about her clients. She's also funny, which is a plus. I'm extremely picky with my nails so finding someone who cuts my cuticles and polishes to my standards is hard to find and she's the best! Highly recommend this salon! I really love this place! I found it on Yelp over the summer and made an appointment in September. I had a great technician, Tony, who did a great job on my nails. It's been a hot minute, but I finally made a return visit. My tech Lexie did an outstanding job. My toes and hands look great! I got the basic mani pedi but got gel on the manicure. It was about $50 -- not at all bad for the great service and product. I will be returning soon! The shop is VERY clean and the staff was friendly and helpful. I also enjoy going in for their pedicures, the deep cleansing one is my favorite! There's no rushing through the process and relaxation is guaranteed! The staff is friendly and do a great job. I've also gotten pedicures and my eyebrows waxed and those services have been great as well. **edit** I am editing my five star review to a one star review considering that there may only be one competent nail tech there. I have been here several times and have been lucky to get the same guy every time. Today he was busy and I was started by a woman who then five minutes in passed me to another girl. I showed her a picture of the shape I wanted and it was downhill from there.
