I've now been to Planet Hyundai's Service Department twice, and both visits have been exactly what you hope for but rarely get - no pressure, efficient, and genuinely pleasant. I actually drive down from Loveland to avoid the dealership I purchased from (Crossroads Hyundai), where the sales experience was the usual drawn-out back-and-forth barf barf bs and Planet Hyundai has so far been a refreshing shift from reverse to first. Granted I haven't had to deal with their sales team, but the vibe in that department doesn't smell off or feel icky either. Both service visits were quick, seamless and included the usual oil change, tire rotation, fluid checks... all handled without any friction. They do suggest manufacturer-recommended services (like alignments), but it's presented in a no-pressure way. Easy to say yes or no, and no weird energy either way. Big shoutout to my advisor, Riley Potter! She's been thorough, friendly, and refreshingly normal in the best way - thanks Ri! Everything so far has been covered under the new car care plan, and each time I've left feeling taken care of without a second thought. After reading the horrible reviews for their sales and service departments on Yelp and other resources, I decided to contact Mountain Hyundai instead. I just leased a new vehicle from Planet Hyundai and I can't recommend them enough, especially relative to the experience I had at other dealerships I tried first. Mick, the sales guy I worked with was outstanding and worked with me to find exactly what I wanted without all the BS I got at other dealerships. Friendly, helpful, knowledgeable and not a hint of sleazy car sales guy attitude. Other dealerships all very clearly played games with me on pricing- I had to fight and go back and forth with managers for them to give me their "best deal" only to call me later after I'd left with a new offer that still wasn't great. Again, Planet Hyundai was totally different; I worked with Jon as a sales manager and he was just as good as Mick. I signed in-store, same day without all the games. I came here in July for an oil change and tire rotation. About a week after service, my car started making a noise. Then my husband drove it from Denver to Grand Junction for work and took my car and when he returned the noise was alot louder, so I took it to a local mechanic to diagnosis the issue. During the test drive with the mechanic, he determined it was either an axle or wheel bearing issue, but wouldn't know which it was until he took the tire off to repair. As he was taking the tire off, he noticed the lug nuts were only finger tight, so he torqued the lug nuts and did another test drive and the noise was gone. He told me that we were extremely lucky that the tire didn't come off the car when we were driving. I emailed the service manager at Planet Hyundai to make him aware of the issue, but he failed to respond. I will not be returning to Planet Hyundai for service. read more

I would make this a 4 1/2 star review if I could. My car was stolen (don't get a base model/non-push start Hyundai Tucson right now. One of the most stolen cars in the now #1 state in country for vehicles getting stolen) last month, and when it was finally released to go to a body shop, I requested it go to Planet Hyundai. This is where I go for all my maintenance needs, since my vehicle is leased. When Autonation Hyundai closed, this was my go to. I actually wish I had gone to Planet Hyundai when I was looking for a new vehicle. It will definitely be my go to dealer next year when my lease comes up! Despite the initial confusion and stress of them not being able to locate my vehicle after it was towed there, Planet Hyundai has been nothing but extremely helpful during the whole repair process. Levi McClinton, the Lead Service Advisor, was integral in the entire process. he kept me updated, and saw to it that all of my repair needs were met. I can't sing his praises enough! He's even letting me come back in to see what they can do about cleaning the stains off the passenger seat, since the detail job wasn't able to remove them quite enough. My mother's vehicle (same year, model, color as mine) got stolen as well. Hers was totaled in the process, and when she went to find a new vehicle, the sales associate Dean Debuhr was excellent. I recently sold my leased Hyundai Kona back to Planet Hyundai and leased a new Genesis G80. All I can say right now is... what a MISTAKE!! The first problem I had is that their finance group under paid the lease amount off and then the finance group charged me another month payment. Now three months later and I still haven't been fully reimbursed for the over payment. The next issue is there is supposed to be a concierge program with Genesis, but this dealership doesn't have the staff to support it. I have been having some major tech issues with the G80, including what appears to be a major safety issue, and when I tried to schedule an appointment to get it checked out, they are backed up a whole month before they can even get it in. Their staff are really friendly, but when you try to call them, they rarely call you back, including their general manager who I called but didn't hear back from. My recommendation is, if you are buying a luxury car, stick with luxury brands like Mercedes, Audi, etc. read more

Would not work with them again and would caution anyone from doing so. TLDR: Hidden markups, Gaslighting, Threats, and Lies. Firstly, they tout that they don't have "dealer handling fees", which is technically true but they will increase your interest rate on the back end. You can say you don't have upfront fees, but hidden markups make you shady and not transparent. Secondly, we reserved a vehicle in transit, after it arrived we started talking final numbers. The numbers they were quoting weren't adding up so I asked to speak to a manager. The manager continued to quote numbers that didn't make sense and I told him that I didn't feel comfortable moving forward and I would like my deposit refunded and his response was basically "too bad, your deposit is non-refundable, take what we are telling you or we are keeping your deposit". At this point, I attempt to contact Shawn by phone, leaving him a voicemail expressing my concerns. No response. I respond by emailing and texting to cancel my appointment for the next day. No response until the next day in the late morning. To which the only reply is if I am moving forward with the vehicle. A blatant move to only collect my non-refundable deposit and move onto the next sucker. At this point, not wanting to lose my deposit and seeing that Shawn, manager Jon, and Planet Hyundai having no interest in hearing my concerns and only wish to gaslight and collect non-refundable deposits, I tell them to reschedule my appointment for 3 weeks into the future, at the end of February. Which their only response was, if I was planning to finalize the purchase on the new appointment, not to address my concerns. And trying to tell me that he doesn't know if they can hold the vehicle for that long, against the terms of my reservation agreement, which they so graciously reminded me of it's non-refund-ability previously. They eventually relented and agreed to a new appointment in 3 weeks. Over the next few days I continued to attempt to get correct numbers from them and also tell them I am considering outside financing, to which they tell me that by doing so I will forfeit some state tax incentives if I don't go through HMF (Hyundai Motor Finance), which is just a blatant lie. After a long back and forth, they give me numbers that I know are technically wrong and HMF won't fund, but appear acceptable and they also agreed that I would still qualify for the State Incentives with outside financing, it would just go through the state, not through them. Three weeks pass and our appointment is coming up. I give the information they request for the meeting and everything is moving forward. I am LITERALLY driving to the dealership and 15 MINUTES before our appointment they send me text saying that I was right about the math being wrong 3 weeks ago and that the numbers he sent me were wrong.(Shocker, I know) So instead of actually looking into my concerns 3 weeks ago they IMMEDIATELY resorted to gaslighting and threats. I went forward with purchasing the vehicle I wanted, not because I trusted any of them but because the vehicle was hard to find and they finally agreed to somewhat acceptable terms, which still included their scummy hidden markup in the interest rate. I had to reach out to the technician multiple times before hearing back after getting a message about the diagnostic report saying to call with any questions. I also left a message that was never responded to and when I came to pick up my car they couldn't locate the paperwork and the reason was because the paperwork wasn't done. They seemed rather unorganized which I can understand due to the large amount of construction improvements happening. When I took it to another mechanic they said that some of the information on the report didn't make sense. When I asked for a rental car they also couldn't provide one because they were all being used. I would not recommend servicing your vehicle here unless you have no other choice. I will say they waived the fee of the diagnosis though I'm not sure if it was to say sorry for the confusion or if it was just covered under warranty. read more

I would not recommend this service department to anyone. They are condescending and accusatory. There was absolutely no attempt to understand the problem or communicate efficiently with even an ounce of professionalism. They "discovered" the issue with the car even though that was the exact problem we reported to them several times and to several different people. Then when we were finally able to speak directly to our service rep, he claimed he could not comment on the problem as he had not even looked at the vehicle yet. I understand that he is not the technician, however if he has not even looked at the car, how can he assist us? This was an exterior, very easy to identify problem and would not have taken him more than a minute or two to walk to the car and look. He then said he would take a look at the car and call us right back. Over 24 hours later he called back... Through out the phone calls and voicemails he continually placed blame saying that we had obviously hit a curb and constantly retorting with other condescending remarks such as, "you know, plastic doesn't just break magically." We also brought the car in due to the parking sensors randomly going off, which they said since their techs could not pull an error code from the car's system there was nothing they could do. They did not attempt to offer any guidance or any kind proactive step to figure out a solution and just shrugged it off. Any kind of help or insight would have been well received. Ultimately, they wanted $2500 to fix the body issue. We walked away to find a different Hyundai service provider to avoid giving them any money. We would gladly pay $3000 to a different service provider due to this establishment's lack of professionalism. The only positive was a single interaction with John Wu (who was unfortunately not our service rep) but he actively listened without judgement or condescension and attempted to help us but was limited in what he could do as he was not our rep. read more

I was in contact with three different people from the dealership about a car I had my eye on and the day I had an appointment scheduled to come in to see the vehicle as I'm on my way to the dealership I get a call saying they just sold the car. Not only did I find it extremely disrespectful but it baffles me how three people including a branch manager who personally reached out all failed to mention there was another appointment made for that car already given this information I would have made my way down asap. Very unhappy with this service department. Bad communication, multiple instances mis-diagnosing issues, and possibly dishonest although I can't be sure there. Full recap of issues below. Most recent issue: car was stolen. Brought it in for a full review, asking for it to be brought back to full working order. Issues: 1. They said the battery was bad and that's why the car wouldn't start and why there were electrical issues. We swapped out the battery for $460 - 2 days later, car isn't starting again. Seems to not be the issue. 2. They said there weren't any other issues besides the battery. I got the car home and found that the drivers side door won't lock and is jammed. Can't imagine why the tech wouldn't check if the doors would lock when I told them it was stolen. 3. I called back with these two followup issues after initial service. I was told I was responsible for getting the car back to them for a re service. They declined to send a tow at my request. 4. I text my advisor that "OK I'd take the car in, but needed a guarantee that I wouldn't be billed for diagnostics and that if the battery turns out to not be the issue with the car, that I wanted a refund on the battery". I called my service advisor after getting no reply for four hours. Then I called and left a VM with the manager. No reply from either party, now 30 hours later. I brought my car in to be fixed. They mis-diagnosed the issue, it seems, and missed an obvious issue with the doors not locking. Now, trying to get them to follow up, I have no communication coming from them, which has been a recurring issue throughout the relationship over the years. I feel scammed into buying a $460 battery at this time and also feel I can't trust them to do a good job with my car. Two other past issues, smaller but worth mentioning: 1. Two windows wouldn't roll down. They said that replacing the master switch should fix both, which didn't really make sense to me, which I said, but they said "we are 80% sure it will work". Lo and behold, the master switch only fixed one. Now they wanted another $200 to finish the job. 2. Had an issue with my car a few months back and Planet Hyundai couldn't get me in for a month and a half due to construction. Had to go to a local shop. read more

I'm extremely frustrated with the service dept reps! I've taken my Santa Fe in twice since mid may to have pictures taken of my front windshield crack in order to get a new windshield ordered. That's as far as it gets, apparently both times the pictures were taken and the windshield not ordered. Same rep both times, he has dropped the ball repeatedly. My first 2 reps, Mitch and Anthony were fantastic , now for some reason I have a new one. When I call and leave him a message to please call me back (3 times now) he doesn't. I've been told multiple times that he is the only person that can view my records and help me. I paid for the Lux Care package and would like to be able to use it!!! I'm also told to diagnose any dash light alerts they need my car for a minimum of 24 hrs. I went to McDonald Hyundai out of desperation last week to get my oil changed and the required maintenence completed after not getting any help from Planet, won't be going back to Planet !! McDonald had my car ready in 2 hrs, despite the "refill invertor coolant" light being on , great communication via their app/texting with straightforward estimate being text to me. They also told me I don't need to bring the car to them to get the windshield replaced, just call Safelight glass and give them my Lux care info to get the windshield replaced. I've had one problem after another with my 2022 new Santa Fe Hybrid, going to work with McDonald to get into a different vehicle. So thankful I found them !! read more

I've been asking for two months now and they broke the trim and wheel liner and refuse to replace the trim they broke in October. They have offered to send me the parts to fix myself. They've also offered a video of my broken car that they took...wait for it...in December. It's broken because y'all broke it in October when the first wheel liner flew outta my car and I hit it on the highway nearly causing a major wreck. The sales team is great, but this is my 5th time dealing with service and are very unresponsive.. the first two times I had appointments they lost them and told me I did not have an appointment and they could not help me even though I had the confirmation. They only did the work after I asked for a manager. Then, they did not install the update correctly so I had to come back and do it all again. Less than a month later I am having another issue so I made an appointment for service which took a week and a half to get, now they have had my car for a week and have yet to begin looking at it or do anything. Apparently when you wait two weeks for a service appointment, that is just to get you in line to continue waiting for as long as it takes them to get to it . The service team has also made claims that they are working on the car but they seemed to forget that there is an app that tells me every time my car is unlocked or moved. I leased a Hyundai Kona Ultimate in June of 2021. A brand new car, I was the first to put any milage on the car. I had a great deal with three years FREE maintenance on a three year lease. 8 months later I received an alert that there was something wrong with the car. I remotely contacted Hyundai through the alert system, but they weren't able to diagnose or even tell me if the car was safe to drive. Understandable. There wasn't an appointment available for three weeks within 200 miles. When I called Planet, they fortunately had a cancellation the next day. I told them I needed a ride home to pick up my mom's car and get to work. The ride wasn't even called until AFTER we completed the preliminaries. I was late to work. Five days later I had not hear anything. I called and was told they had to call corporate because they didn't know what the diag. code was. It was the pcv valve. Even I had heard of that. Three weeks later, I was able to pick the car up. Almost exactly one year later, after a severe cold snap discharged my battery. I called the dealership and could get in (for a jump?!) in a week. My mom had sold her car, so I had no alternative transport. The woman who answered the phone asked if I could borrow a friends car. WHAT? My friends also need to work. I asked about a loaner and was told, if there was one available, it would cost $40/day. Since when are loaners so much? They shouldn't cost at all. I jumped my own car, and went to a store that provided complimentary battery checks. All is fine. Meanwhile, I can't even schedule an oil change or factory maintenance at the Planet's service center. I love this car, but can't see myself ever doing business with them again. They treat you well when trying to seal the deal and get your money, but they lose your business on the back end. I purchased a used Buick Enclave from Planet in May. In August the power steering pump went out along with what I now know was a raft of other issues that there is no way this dealership did not know about. Warped front discs, rear shocks leaking, loose and torn front control arm bushings which caused unacceptable tyre ware. You can not get ahold of them and even leaving messages they won't get back to you. My car has been in over 30 days now. Originally they said my car would be ready on Thursday, January 18th. That day came and went with no call or anything from them. It took me finally getting ahold of them on Monday the following week for me to learn they ordered the wrong parts and wouldn't be able to complete it until Friday the 26th. Then when I called Friday at 1pm (since no one had bothered to reach out to me)to ask when it would be ready they said it won't be ready now until Tuesday the 30th. This is absolutely ridiculous. Levi and Drew constantly overpromise and underdeliver. They have piss poor communication and had the audacity to try and charge me $850 for one axle rotor and break pad replacement. Luckily I called other Hyundai dealerships to see their price and found one that will do it for almost $250 less. To the GM of this dealership, Get someone new to run this service department because frankly I would be embarrassed to have these morons representing my company. They need to make room in their schedule for drop ins and emergencies. I was planning to tow a small trailer, so the tow package was of utmost importance to me and I was told all 2022 Palisades come with a 7-pin wiring harness. Information on the internet indicated the same. When I went to have the hitch installed, the installation came with a 4-pin wiring harness. When questioned, I was told Hyundai doesn't even have a part for a 7-pin harness. I was told in the service department that it is common practice for their sales department to often give erroneous information in order to sell a car. There were other incidents that should steer one away from this dealership. My windshield cracked shortly after purchase, and being out-of-state at the time, I dealt with the sales manager on the phone. After sending pictures of the crack, I was assured they had dealt with their insurance company, a new windshield had been ordered, and it would be replaced upon my return. When I took in the car, I was told there was no record of my windshield nor had any order been placed for a new one, and I would have to return at a later date. While waiting in the service department, one of their service writers after finishing with a customer, looked up at me (I had been waiting for 10 minutes) and said he would be with me in a minute, at which time he exited the building for a smoke break. Good customer service? I could go on with other incidents, but I hope you get the point. The business is running, but if you are looking for a reputable business with an emphasis on customer service, you need to look elsewhere! read more

Went in with friend to test drive an Elantra they had advertised online that we had done extensive research into. The initial car salesman was ok, he seemed new and not very enthusiastic to sell anything but lucky for him we had our eyes on it and we were about 80% sure we'd leave with the car that day. We test drove and and then go to the financing part. The first salesman introduced us to the guy who would help us go through financing options. Unfortunately this is when things took a turn. My friend who was trying to build her credit gets told "well looks like no one likes you" by the employee in reference to not getting many quotes back from the financial institutions as she didn't have perfect credit. Which was a really rude, unprofessional and mean thing to say to someone especially to a young women buying a car for the first time. Once we get taken to the back room to sign, the employee was pushing and pushing me to give him my information so he "could look up the deal" from when I had mentioned I purchased a Sonata from them years before and had a great experience. This was nothing like that experience He was very intrusive and made my friend and I feel very uncomfortable. Will not be recommending this Dealership to any other friends read more

This dealer is the worst dealer to work with. They are okay until you sign. They have attitude, don't really know how to do their jobs and there are way to many dealers to go through this place. Horrible service. read more

ABSOLUTELY THE WORST SERVICE ON THE PLANET!!! Our 2017 Santa Fe (still under warranty) started lurching in rush hour I-70 traffic, and the check engine light came on. We got off the highway immediately as the car totally unsafe to drive. We contacted Planet (where we bought the car new) and they said they wouldn't be able to look at the car for at least THREE WEEKS. We tried to contact the general manager(out of town for another week) and the service manager(nowhere to be found). After 2 more attempts, we got another service rep on the phone and after once again explaining the situation they (mysteriously) had a cancellation and could get us in first thing the next day, but did not offer to assist with getting the (undrivable) car towed, so WE had the car towed to the the dealership (at a cost of $200). They determined the problem was in fact covered under warranty and got it fixed. When we went to pick up the car we presented them with the tow bill which they refused to reimburse even though the issue was covered under warranty, and told us that we would have to contact Hyundai corporate. When I questioned them and pointed out that "they ARE Hyundai" they said they don't reimburse. The service manager then went on to say that when they call for the tow they pay it and submit it to Hyundai with the warranty service reimbursement to Hyundai. What is the difference??? We still have not been reimbursed by Hyundai. read more

This is the best dealership I've ever been to. Back eight months ago, I bought my second vehicle form Planet Hyundai. I worked with Jose, my sales professional and Aaron in finance. Inside of a month ago, I bought my third vehicle, and this is how easy it was: I made an appointment, THE SAME DAY. When I got there, Jose got the deal done while simultaneously taking care of another couple. The deal went to finance and I was signing papers with Aaron. Folks, I was in and out two and a half hours, and I love my Hampton Gray Santa Fe SEL Premium. As a customer, I did my due due diligence, found the vehicle I wanted and was ready to make a deal. I advise you do the same. We all want to win, and they will help you get to the finish line. Their professionalism, energy and knowledge makes going to a car dealership -FUN-. Even when the dealership was slammed (Thursday), they were diligent, forthcoming with any answers I needed and as representatives of the dealership, they are customer-first minded. Very POOR service department!!! Had an appointment to get air conditioning looked at for repairs and vehicle was not brought in the shop for three day even though we had a scheduled appointment. It was finally, maybe looked at on a Saturday and turned over to the sales department so we could pick it up late in the day. When the vehicle wasn't looked at we should have been advised that they were busy and couldn't get a chance to look at it so maybe we could pick it up and reschedule another appointment. Very poor communication. read more

The worst decision I've ever made was buying a car from here. The engine check light has been on twice since my purchase in July. When the light came on the second time, I brought it in to have it fixed again. A week later when I went to pick up my vehicle, and I was told that my keys were lost and went home without my car or any answers. 24 hours later an employee, Jaison Knowling, confessed to me that he took them home. When I finally get my vehicle back, the radio didn't work and they lost my dead dog's paw print. This experience has been financially and emotionally devastating. read more
