If an employee is old enough to work customer service and represent your business, then they should either be properly trained to resolve simple issues or have management available to step in and make it right. That responsibility falls on the business, not the customer. I paid for my drink, left a tip, and politely asked for it to be remade because it was watery and not made correctly. Refusing to remake it over "wasting product" was disappointing on its own, but the defensive response afterward made the experience worse. Especially considering another Cups location confirmed the drink should have been remade without hesitation. After supporting Cups for over 10 years, I expected a little more accountability and professionalism instead of excuses. The atmosphere felt different--warm, welcoming, and genuine. The staff was incredibly personable and made me feel right at home. It wasn't until after I had ordered and was waiting for my drink that I realized this is a faith-based company. As a man of faith myself, that immediately explained the feeling I had when I walked through the door. While waiting, I took some time to look around and was impressed by the apparel and merchandise they offer. You can tell there's purpose and heart behind what they're building. Then came the moment of truth--the first sip. As every coffee lover knows, it can either be greatness or disappointment. Thankfully, this was greatness.
