Convenient location off the main road inside a small shopping area. Stopped by after a business symposium. Nice, relaxed vibe and friendly staff. I opted for a chai over ice, which was perfect. My colleagues each had coffees which they liked too. Could do with more comfortable seating options but I like the eclectic feel of the large table that had bench and chair seating with it. Service was not good. Was standing at the counter and was not greeted. She just looked at me and took the order. Then handed me my coffee with no thank you, have a good night or nothing. Then another family ( a different race than I am) walked out behind me and she said " thank you all, have a great night." And yes I am African American. read more

A month ago I would have given five stars. It's been a five star coffee shop for years. They have had a series of great baristas. BUT, not now. My last visit neither of us could drink our drinks. I drink cappuccino and my granddaughters drink some fluffy drink. Again, neither of us could drink our orders. It sucks but I have to find a new coffee shop. When I went to cups. I try their frappe but I was highly upset because of the chunks of ice at bottom of cup. I was damn it's supposed to be like a blended ice drink. This may be the most expensive coffee shop in the world. Seriously - I've been to coffee shops from Brandon to Sydney, and the prices here are absurd. A regular mug of coffee if drinking in is something like $2. Refilling that mug is also $2. Since no prices are posted, there is no way to know that having your coffee in a mug if hanging around and spending some nominal price to refill it is pointless and you're better off forking out the $3 or whatever for a large. In fact, this place single handedly belies the notion that Starbucks is somehow more expensive than your local. A 20 oz. coffee at Starbucks is something like $2.25, and a refill is $0.50. To boot, I'm not sure that a mug of coffee at the Brandon Cups is as much as the 12 oz. cup that you get when you purchase a small coffee to go, though I was charged for a small. Now maybe if a business has coffee that is fantastic, that's somewhat tolerable, but Cups hasn't had particularly stellar coffee in a decade at least, at least that is my experience at their various franchises. It's somewhat better than gas station coffee prices like one might expect to pay at a truly spectacular coffee shop in a large city. I've worked in places where you tended to have customers that made one initial small purchase and tended to linger for hours afterward. I get it - $1 cups of coffee don't cover sitting around using wifi and charging a computer for hours on end. But at the very, very least, if you're going to scalp people, at least post prices. I'm not even sure other Cups franchises charge people full price for a cup of coffee. Thankfully, Brandon does have other options when I'm in town these days. I've always been somewhat loyal to this place through its various changes in management over the years, but spending $7 for two small cups of coffee and a mediocre biscotti I think has finally done me in. read more

I have never been to the Cups in Brandon. I'm sitting here right now, I had a meeting with a friend. I'm trying to be healthy and not drinking milk at this time, so I ordered my favorite drink, London Fog, with rice milk and sugar free vanilla. Ordering my drink was a fine experience. However when I got my drink it smelled like a trash can does when it's been sitting out in the rain with rotten garbage in it. Now I've never had rice milk before so I don't know if this meant it was bad or not, or if rice milk is just an acquired taste, but I couldn't handle the smell nor the taste. I didn't drink any of it. When I went up to the barista to request to have it made with soy instead and started to walk away with my drink (that I'd paid for previously but it didn't taste or smell good) she said "You're not going to pay for it? I was shocked! So I said, "But my first drink didn't taste good, I didn't drink it." She said, "Oh well but..." and stood at the register waiting for me to pay, there in front of everyone making me feel incredibly guilty for not paying for a 2nd drink I had to have made because the first one smelled like rotting garbage in the hot rain. Now I was not rude, did not draw attention to my experience. I could have said loudly how bad my drink tasted so everyone knew. But I was a barista for 8 years and trainer, and I not only want customers to have their own unique experiences to judge quality of service themselves, but I also know when a customer is unhappy with their drink (especially if they did not drink it) I will remake it in a heart beat the way they want it, no questions asked, no repayment necessary. And I most certainly won't make them feel guilty about it. I'm feeling so embarrassed right now I'm NOT going to drink the replacement drink and I'm leaving. This is the 3rd location I've had a bad experience at. Your baristas have no sense of humility or how to treat customers, (with the exception of the Old Canton location). I'm not spending money here, I won't be back again, and I will certainly not be bringing anyone here I know or recommend this as a place to meet anyone in the future. I know of a much better coffee shop I can go to and I'm willing to drive much further to go there to avoid this kind of humiliating experience. read more

The cold brew tasted like hot coffee cooled down (which is not how it's supposed to taste). It was not rich, nor complex, nor tasty. The one person they had running the place was cool and diligent, but if you're looking for cold brew, don't go here. read more

I'm really impressed with this Cups. I drove here thinking it would be no better (I like coffee shops where I can study) and although it was too loud to study after 8:30am for me, there was a long desk and seemed way more conducive to studying than the other Cups locations. read more
