Planet Beach is not only my favorite place to simultaneously renew my mind , while relaxing my body. I was instructed by staff to begin with the Redlight therapy prior to most of the services provided. It is usually the first of four that can be completed in less than two hours. The hydration capsulle does the body good and you just di nothingIt is my favorite place to sweat While the capule is hydrating the skin, toxins are being released from the body and so are lbs. It is a great way to treat stress. I will always need the feeling the warmth of the sun provides, and tanning was once only accomplished in the sun. It is sometime difficult first most to have time alotted for travel to sunny destinations to maintain the sunkissed glow. With the Insight that has been gained regarding the danger of skin cancer from extensive exposure to the ultraviolet rays. Sunless tanning became a craze that continues. I was never a fan because I needed to feel the warmth, so I lay in the bed first, and utilize the spray to bring the glow.. Planet Beach is where I received my first spray tan a few years ago, and is how I complete every visitk at this sanctuary. I always leave feeling rejuvenated, with a better atttitude A.sense of well being is truly accomplished by one or more of sevices available daily. Maddie has the innovative mind that created thpand she is ac beautiful example of the finishekd pridct. I always appreciated who she hired, and her ability to chose individuals who are competent, and an asset to the brand that she created. Honestly just felt unwelcome every time I called and/or came into the salon. This wouldn't be a place that I would recommend to anyone I know. Everywhere I looked it was dirty and something was always broken. It wouldn't kill to hire a cleaner. Maybe it would help the place seem a little less dingy. read more

Hi! I've never been here before this year. Kim is awesome, one of the nicest people I've ever met. And everyone else is very nice to. I only tan for a month in the spring, but I will most definitely come back here next year. Hi! Margaret here again well it's next year and I'm back. I love it here Maddy and the hole staff are so awesome. I really love Kim she great. So I purchase the package where I get the spa treatments as well this time and I have been using the hydration bed at least twice a week. It is the most relaxing thing I have ever done in my entire life. I absolutely love it even if you do not tan here you should come to get the hydration done. It is so awesome getting off from a hard days work and laying in this bed makes you feel like a whole new person. I definitely recommend it. I also tan afterwards and it keeps my tan lasting longer. So much more than a tanning salon! The redlight therapy, after only 3 weeks at 3 times a week, has improved my skin- both crepey skin and texture- and noticeably improved my vision! Crazy! Years back, following an accident, as I started to shave my head, I walked into Planet Beach. You can't be pale when you shave your head, and as odd as I felt going in there ( as a guy, tanning wasn't "cool" 5yrs ago), I took a chance. In all honesty, unless i moved from the area, I would never go anywhere else. The girls there (while I am terrible with names) are always smiling and helpful. The place is always spotless and I've never once went into a bad/stand-up wondering if it was cleaned. They put up with my music and smart-Alec sense of humor. What more could I ask for. I love this place. A lot of great services. I've been to several locations (including down in Florida) and this particular Plymouth Meeting franchise is immaculate with friendly staff. Unfortunately, they don't offer a water massage or massage chairs like the one where I was a member in Fl but they do have: -Hydration Station (a little pod with heat and steam and diff botanical mixes; good pre-moisturizing, before a tanning bed session, before a mystic tan spray, or to lose water weight/burn extra calories - burns about 300 cal) -Mystic Tan (as of maybe 6 months ago they still had the older mystic machine; hadn't ugraded yet to the 360 degree heated model) -Tanning Beds (uva/uvb/high and low pressure, standups and laydowns) -Redlight Photofacial -Teeth Whitening (not included as part of unlimited package) The owner personally helped me with my teeth whitening service and was very sweet even while multi-tasking. The staff was and personable and friendly. They even waived some membership fees and it was easy to put my account on hold (fee is 5$ I think) when going on vacation/out of town. I highly highly recommend the unlimited spa/tanning package. It's especially great right now when everyone's vitamin D levels are dropping. A nice way to pamper yourself. This is by far my favorite place. Staff is always super nice and helpful. Spray tan is a simple process and lasts a week! No streaks and a nice natural color. Planet Beach - Tanning Near Me - Blue Bell, Pennsylvania

I was really looking forward to my "Hydro Derma Treatment" at Planet Beach. You can read about this treatment here, http://planetbeach.com/products-services/renew/full-body-hydration/. I was most excited about the vibratory massage bed as I woke up with a cramped neck and shoulder pains. The place is originally a tanning spa, but they extended to include other treatments such as this hydro derma treatment. The place appears to be clean and comfortable. I was taken to a private room where the lady explained how everything worked and told me I did not have to adjust any settings as they are all pre-set. The lady left me alone to undress and start my treatment. It was a 20minute treatment. However, I did not feel much heat and did not see steam for the first 3 minutes. I was told that I did not have to touch any buttons unless I want to change the speed of the fan that was supposed to cool my face. After several minutes of steaming, I noticed that the vibratory massage bed was not working. I kept waiting, and hoping that it will activate, but it never did. I spent most of my time trying to navigate the screen to turn the bed on, but no luck. I gave up in the last few minutes and decided just to enjoy the last few minutes of the steam. So basically, all I received was 17 mins of body steam. I did not come out feeling refreshed or relaxed as I thought I would. I was extremely disappointed and felt that I wasted my time (45 mins drive from my house) I got dressed and went to the front desk to check out and let her know that the bed was not working. I was surprised by her reply and nonchalance. Her reply was along the lines of "oh, a few people used it this morning and had no problem. we'll be sure to check it out. thanks and bye" It was not a good experience, will not be returning, at least not to this location. read more

Maddy and her entire staff at Planet Beach is lovely! I'm always welcomed with a smiling face and thanked on my way out. When you see someone regularly(once or twice a week) you get to know the staff personally. They have been so kind and i feel as if they are my friends, when I'm asked how my weekend was or what my plans are for the holidays. It restores my faith in humanity when I come here. I never have to wait for a bed to be open, as there are both stand up and lay down beds available to choose from. Using lotion accelerators are a must for tanning, as they really give me a gorgeous golden tan. There are many different packet samples available to try out, as well as full bottles for purchase. DO NOT GO HERE! The owner is very rude and miserable. I don't know who she thinks she is but she is totally low class. The rest of the staff is nice and friendly but after a few experiences with her I would rather pay double someplace else to tan! My first visit here was to receive a red light therapy facial. First off, let me start with talking about my skin type. I have extremely sensitive skin that breaks out very easily and it's oily/combination. I don't trust my skin care to many, but Casey explained everything in full detail and reassured me through the entire process! My skin feels great and I loved how comfortable I was made.
