Hello, I just returned from my visit to your location today around 11:00 AM. I must say I was disappointed with the service I received today. My visits up to now have always been enjoyable. However, not today. I gave my card to the attendant to stamp my card like all the other times I was there, and she refused to stamp my card. Our original girls day plans fell through, and the staff here were so accommodating fitting us in for a 60 minute facial and 60 minute massage completely last minute, an hour before in fact. Much appreciated! My services by Tina were EXCELLENT!!! The massage was very deep, which some may not like but after jumping into a new intense workout routine this week leaving every muscle in my body insanely sore, I appreciated and think I needed the strength. She will gladly adjust accordingly. Tina paid great attention to detail and even capped it off with hot rocks and warm towel rub down. The facial was equally as amazing. My skin was plump and glowing! I peeped at her products and they were all reputable brands and natural! Loved the chia seed spray! Not your average "spa" being located in a strip mall, but the services are what matter and they were fantastic! It's all the same when your eyes are shut in the room on the table. I will gladly pay these prices and nix the flute of champs and infused water from time to time. The girls were super sweet and they were so attentive with everything! I build stress in my back, so I wanted a last-minute massage somewhere local. Allevia was able to get me in within a half hour. The ambience is really relaxing. The massage was awesome. The price was reasonable. I will definitely be coming here frequently! ***updated review. I went for the second time last night and unfortunately will not be going back here. My second experience was a world different than the first. It's the next day and my back is in physical pain from the "massage" I received last night. I told the masseuse that I was having upper back pain. She was using her elbows over my shoulder blades over and over again and it hurt so badly. I asked her to be more gentle but unfortunately it didn't help. She also kept doing "rug burn" type movements on my lower back. It was a waste of money and I won't be going back. read more

I decided to start going weekly for a massage, as they drew me in on a special they have been running ($40= hour massage). For the last 4 weeks, I have gone every Saturday and tipped $30. I heard another gentleman ask to buy a gift card at the $40/hr rate. (He spent $600 and bought 15 hours per the special.) I heard him ask to put the hours on the gift card. I followed suit and bought $300 worth of hours at the discounted rate, not realizing they didn't write the hours on my gift card. Today I went in & was told I was not allowed to use the gift card on the discounted rate, after I had already spent the money! I was then hassled over the tip, asking me why I didn't want to tip $40 instead of $30. I was willing to overlook the fact that every 10 minutes my massage therapist would leave the room to take a call because the rates were low and the massages were good. Today, I felt totally taken advantage of. After getting upset, they let me use my gift card and I still tipped the $40 as she requested, but I will not be back. I still have $150 on a gift card that I bought that I will never use. I became a loyal customer, over-tipped, and was taken advantage of. Save yourself the time and go to a real massage clinic. read more

This is a nice clean venue with competitive prices. It has the open tops so you won't get much silence on a busy day. I had a 90-minute massage with Claire and she did a great job relieving tension in my back using multiple techniques. I would definitely return. I've had a fair share of massages. Like many other people, I have chronic lower back issues, and I received a recommendation here from my dad, who is the pickiest person I know. The massage I received here was therapeutic. The therapist asked about my problem areas and was great at reading my body- she tailored the massage to relieve my lower back and all the issues that came with it. She was really going after the knots as well. My back still feels great. This is a no-frills place that aims at healing your problem areas. I also saw that they offer waxes and facials. The prices are also a steal compared to the service you get. I would advise to call ahead for an appointment- they are great at fitting you in their schedule. read more

I don't usually write reviews but I had such an amazing experience with Emma at Allevia Spa today. Yesterday I pulled out my back really badly. I could barely move. I called and made an appointment with Emma. It was literally the BEST massage I have ever had. Not only was the price extremely reasonable, but she ended up giving me my hour long massage for more like an hour and fifteen minutes. There was no timer buzzing at the end, she just worked until she felt the job was done! The massage was amazing. She literally worked ever muscle. I told her about the pull in my back and she spent a lot of time working on that area. Before the massage, I was hunched over and could barely walk, after, I literally felt like a new person. I felt extremely comfortable with Emma, and she even used hot towels and hot rocks throughout the massage. The spa has a very relaxing ambiance and Emma was very professional. I had Paulina and I absolutely loved her! I got a facial and It has been three days and my skin still feels amazing. I have gotten plenty of facials in the past but I haven't gotten one this good in a long time. The only reason I didn't give this 5 stars was because at the last 5 minutes a customer came in and was in his room talking very loudly on his phone. Not that this is the spas fault (and maybe they already do this) but they should have a no cell phone policy when you're in the rooms since it is an open ceiling. Other than that they were great. I used to get massages all the time here from Paulina who was wonderful. She was unavailable so I tried someone else. Bad move! The woman who did my massage did most of it through a sheet and left the room three times without telling me why and she left the door wide open every time. I had a great eyebrow and lip wax at Allevia. The ambiance is super relaxing. It's refreshing getting a wax from a place that specializes in waxing. I'm picky about massages, so take it from me that Allevia is the real deal. They meet all the basic requirements with flying colors - clean and professional service in a relaxing atmosphere. But the reason I've been going back on a regular basis is the skill of the therapist. Paulina is terrific and when I asked for "deep tissue" thats just what I got, unlike some other spas I've tried when no matter how much I've asked for more pressure they weren't able to dig deep enough to relieve the knots in my back. My wife has also only had great experiences, so if you're looking for a good massage I strongly recommend giving them a try. read more

Well kept spa. Appointment was honored on time. Parking is available. Ordered aromatherapy, I didn't get the real essence of the aroma. I thought the aroma would be delivered from the essential oils but it supposedly came from a fan under the massaging table to deliver the aroma. The message was good. My masseuse asked for which specific pressure I would prefer, and which area I would like to focus on. Prices were reasonable for a 1.5 hour massage. If I visit the area again, I would look forward to visiting this spa again. I recommend this location if you're looking for a satisfying experience. read more

I get a lot of massages but usually don't go to the same place twice. I found Allevia through Yelp and and was able to get a massage the same day I called. I was lucky to get Paulina, even though I hadn't requested her and just requested a female therapist. Her hands are like steel. I don't think I've ever had hands that strong work on me before. She worked out all of my kinks and knots, which is saying something, since I haven't had a massage in a couple months. The hot stones at the end were a definite bonus, and she went a few minutes over my 60-minutes, which I appreciated. I will definitely be back and will check out the facials, too! read more

I searched for a place that could accommodate 2 people on a Monday as it was to celebrate my daughter's 30th birthday. Places that were closer to me were closed on Mondays so I chose Allevia based on the reviews despite the 30 minute drive. Thank goodness for Yelp or I would never have found this gem! Paulina was my daughter's masseuse and Richard was mine and we both agreed that this was the best massage we have ever gotten (and my daughter has been lucky enough to have gotten an estimated 50 massages over the years). We have been to "fancier" places in Doylestown that didn't come close to this experience. There is something to be said for a spa that focuses on one specialty- an incredible massage- instead of trying to do the hair, nails, etc. We will both be returning! read more

My boyfriend and I recently went in for a couples massage, and I must say it was amazing! He's not one to rave, but he couldn't stop talking about how great the massage felt the entire way home. Such reactions are quite uncharacteristic of him, so it must have felt *really* good (I know mine did). We were even treated to hot stones and the massage oils were carefully wiped away afterward with nice warm towels. The atmosphere was great - nice location, clean, soothing music, dim lighting, and a pleasant aroma in the air. Our masseuses were both very friendly and polite. On top of everything else, the price was simply unbeatable. I have never had such an inexpensive massage! Professional quality at a student price. We will definitely be back! I didn't have a very good experience here. First of all, they kept trying to have me get a 90 minute massage when I kept insisting I only wanted an hour. They were having a promotion for $40 for an hour and $60 for 90 minutes. I'm glad I stuck with 60 minutes because I couldn't get out of there fast enough! The room was right next to the lobby so I could hear everything going on behind the door including a nasty conversation between the reception lady and a disgusting man asking for her to touch his privates and take off his clothes! Thankfully she did not do anything like that and he ended up leaving but I was very uncomfortable and could not manage to relax after hearing that. The massage was okay but hurt at times. I did have a couple bruises up by my neck which is unfortunate because I kept mentioning to the lady that it was hurting and asked her to stop but she didn't speak English. Then as I went to pay, she was trying to make me tip more even though I told her exactly how much I wanted to tip. She seemed very confused about it, but I'm glad that I didn't let her control that. I don't think I'd go back here again. Yes, it was a cheap massage and was average, but you get what you pay for. I wish I had more money to go get a higher end massage but unfortunately IVF has taken most of our savings account. If you can, I would advise to spend more money if you can on a nicer place. read more

The only reason I can't give it 5 stars is because you can hear people coming into the spa while you are in your massage which is distracting.
