I called because I had a gift card for a couples massage, but asked if I could use it for a different service. Her answer was yes with no hesitation or questions asked. When I go to check out (my gift card totaling $179 and facial costing $79.00) I was told by the experienced cashier (Sabrina) that the entire gift card must be used because it was originally meant for a couples massage. Francisca failed to mention this on the phone prior to me coming in to receive the facial. She failed to ask a more experienced person what the requirements are for gift cards. Due to her careless mistake, the total service I received was $110.00 with the purchase of a scrub included that I bought with my personal funds. If I would have known from the beginning, I have may gotten more add-ons to my service or maybe even a massage if I knew they would charge the entire gift card totaling $179.00 (let's not fail to mention that tip couldn't be included on the gift card either). It may be poor training - but her customer service skills weren't great either.

I told her I was four months postpartum and wanted a massage preferably laying on my side or back, to which she told me "I am not trained to do massages on the side or back" and stated she had the client face down the entire time. Having had massages done for over 20 years, I have never heard of a masseuse who is hired untrained to perform massages unless the client is solely on the back. Nor have I heard of a spa who books massages without specifying that the masseuse may be unable to do a massage at all if you are unable to lie on your stomach after you inform them you are postnatal from a c section. After I told her I guess I would cancel the massage because she kept shrugging stonefaced while telling me "I just can't do it," she promptly left the room and began gossiping with another masseuse down the hall. I literally had to call out after her "can you at least show me the way out?" given the lack of exit signs in Spavia's dark hallway. Caitlin rolled her eyes and sarcastically asked "you are not going to change into your clothes?" and I told her I needed the locker room. She wordlessly showed me the way before rolling her eyes again and stalking off. Please avoid booking with this woman Caitlyn and Spavia in general. Also, Caitlin came to collect me at 12:59pm (though I could hear her chatting with someone in the hallway well before then) so that my 1:00pm appointment time could start ticking away while she led me to the room, did intake, have me get ready, etc. No waiver or paperwork regarding massage goals was done at all, though it is unlikely she would have reviewed it anyway. The locker room has towels, rubber shoes, and robes. There was no policing the towels, which I appreciated! The place was quiet and mostly empty until I left around 11:30, 2 hours later, and I was so relaxed! I wish I lived closer and could visit before bedtime, because I bet I'd sleep like a baby. If you've never visited a bathhouse or sauna, I HIGHLY recommend taking it slow and exploring at your own risk - some of the saunas are VERY hot. Don't be afraid to ask for help or just observe how others do things and follow their lead. This isn't the four seasons, but I found it perfect and exactly what I was looking for - clean and relaxing, with unlimited free rein to do what I wanted.

I was very pleased with his communication and thoroughness as we made arrangements for promotion, marketing, payment, and logistics. On the day of the event, I met with him and his helper and everything fell into place. Part of the arrangement we had for using the space was that I could be a participant in the event. This was absolutely my good fortune. Kyle is a soft-spoken communicator, but was completely able to keep the attention and engagement of the 16 participants. More importantly, he has a tremendous ability to help people move past some of their blocks, particularly guilt and shame, so they can really get in touch with themselves. And that is perhaps the most important part of dealing with intimacy in interpersonal communication. I've participated in numerous tantra, intimacy, and sex-positive events, including week-long retreats. Kyle's is easily among the best, particularly among shorter sessions.
