Highly recommended!…read more The "check engine light" on my Passat has been intermittently on and off for the past few months due to low fuel pressure warning. I took it to a VW dealer and was told that the fuel pressure sensor was faulty. A few hours after the sensor was replaced, the same problem came back again. I took the car back to the dealer and was told this time that the whole fuel delivery unit has to be replaced, for over $1000. I hesitated, and took the car to another auto repair shop for a second opinion, and after some diagnosis, the mechanic impatiently gave up and said such intermittent problems were very hard to catch and I should take the car back to the VW dealer as they have better diagnosis equipment. I was glad that I then made the decision to take my car to Great Savvy Services for help. A mechanic named Rick welcomed me and promised to do a thorough examination. He hooked a fuel pressure reader to my car and really took the time to patiently diagnose any potential problem. Eventually, he believed that it was still due to a faulty low fuel pressure sensor. I was at beginning in disbelief as the VW dealer had supposedly replaced it, and asked him to double check the fuel pump to see if it works properly. But Rick told me that my fuel pump was definitely good and affirmed it's the fuel pressure sensor. Rick was right: After he ordered a new sensor and installed it, the "check engine light" never came back on again! And while working on the diagnosis, he also replaced one of the faulty front parking lights on my car for free.

I decided to stop and see if they would help me. I walked in to a very small cluttered office. I was about to leave when Sergio who I later found out was one of the owners asked me what I needed. I explained my problem and Sergio said he could make the repair. In less than 10 minutes he had my car jacked up on the side of his building and the work was under way. In an hour the work was done and I was on my way. Fast personal service by the owner, I was impressed. I found out that Sergio has been rebuilding starters, alternators and electric motors for over 40 years. If you ever need electric work on your car this is the place.

I've been going here for quite some time now and the service is very consistent, hence my review took so long. I observe for a while and then, I put pen to paper. The mechanics knows what they are doing and they don't second guess themselves. 2. The owner (Dave) is very friendly and knowledgeable guy and his sister (Anita) is basically the backbone of the company, she handles and run the business very efficient and smooth like car oil. (lol) 3. The place is clean, spacious and organized. You can also asked them anything and don't matter how busy they are, they'll always make time to try and help you or give you their undivided attention to lead you in the right direction. 4. They don't lie after diagnosing a problem either, they tell you exactly what's wrong with your vehicle, some other mechanic might fabricate or exaggerate a problem just to make extra money on you. Many times I wanted to fix things that I thought were bad and they quickly brought me back to reality, saying that "this is money you don't need to spend because there was nothing wrong with your car, it was just a minor fix" and it turned out to be true. 5.
