I just bought a car in New Jersey and needed it inspected in New York. Instead of going to a Porsche dealer, none of which was local, based on Yelp reviews and others I had read online, I thought I'd give Great Neck Auto-Tech a try. Long story short: Couldn't have been nicer, quicker, more efficient. I don't know them from Adam, never went there before and, frankly, this was the only thing I had them do. My car is new so its under warranty from the manufacturer, but based on my experience I wouldn't hesitate to try them for things like wheel/tire swaps, extra oil changes, etc. I just wanted to add to the positive reviews and tell people if they're looking for an independent shop to give this business a try. read more

As many of us, I know little about my cars beyond driving them. So when there is an issue, skill, trust and reasonable cost is paramount. Val, John, Auto tech exceeds in all phases. 75,000 miles on my Subaru, 35,000 on my Rav 4. Thank you Auto Tech. read more

I've been taking my cars to GN Auto Tech for more than 30 years. My experience with Val, John and their team has always been very positive. Repair prices are always sensible for the level of service and professionalism. I know many people who use Auto Tech and I've only heard great reviews from them. read more

Great to find an honest, thorough mechanic in the area. Other places have missed and botched things on my car but not these guys. I like the fact that they are open very early at 7:30 since I work nights. I noticed they also have a key drop so you can drop your car off after hours. read more

I have been coming in for years with my 3 cars now on big and small car repairs and maintenance jobs. Val and his team are great in diagnostic and repairing. Fair prices and honest but the place gets real busy so appointment needed. read more

They overcharge customers. I had a flat tire and all they did was patch it up. I usually know it costs $10 everywhere to patch a flat tire but to charge 40$$$ is absurd. read more

Rare to find an honest mechanic, but these guys are one the few places that doesn't actually rip you off. Will recommend them

New to the area. First time going today. Recommended by a family member. Met Val who was very professional and polite, both over the phone and in person. The service was very fast. Took the time to discuss the inspection findings with me. Price was reasonable. Definitely seems like a trustworthy and reliable mechanic. He even pulled the car out front for me when it was ready. Puts me a little more at ease knowing there is someone in the neighborhood who I can go to for car repairs/maintenance. Will definitely come back and plan to refer to others. read more

Val, John and their team have been servicing our family vehicles for almost a decade and are the absolute best on every front. The prices are more than fair and the service is above and beyond. Most importantly for me is that they are TRUSTWORTHY. (More than once they corrected a car dealer's misdiagnosis and made sure only the required work was performed.) In life in addition to needing a good doctor you need a good auto repair service and Great Neck Auto Tech is just that. Happy to be able to share my thoughts! read more

Val & his team are great. Whether you are a frequent customer or newcomer, they will treat you like they've known you for ages. Their prices are competitive but their customer service is impeccable. If you choose to wait, bring something to kill time. If you want to leave your car there, they'll drop you off at your desired location; given that it isn't too far. Give them a try. You won't regret it. read more

Val at Great Neck Auto Tech is the best. I will never take my vehicles anywhere else. Honest, reliable, fair prices. If it's broken they will fix, I appreciate that he saves busted parts and shows you what he replaced. Works on all my bosses high end rides. read more

I came in today for a quick repair and inspection. Man they were quick. They already looked like they had a packed schedule but were able to fit me in and get the jobs done in 30mins. I spoke with Val and he could not have been more professional or friendly. I would recommend this shop to anyone and I'll certainly be back. read more

I will never return to this place again. I heard such good things and it was so promising until I realized how disgusting the costumer service was. One in particular person really had me beside myself. Now, I am usually not one to bash or shame anyone especially based off appearance.. or physical differences.. but I will say this only to make it well known who I am speaking of. There was a boy who helped me.. a young boy I would say in his mid twenties very tall and he seemed to have had severe plaque psoriasis all over his neck. As i already mentioned, THAT didn't bother me but it was his nasty attitude that turned me off completely from this place. Every simple question I asked I received a very condescending attitude. Even down to "what time do you open". He made me so uncomfortable I wanted to walk out right then and there. I've never met such a miserable person in my life. Someone like that should be fired immediately. I'm not sure if his boss knows just how rude he is to costumers but it needs to be known. It was the kind of attitude where it seems to be obvious that this person has some serious personal problem that he seems to be taking out on strangers. It's not my fault that he appeared to be breaking out in hives on his face, neck, chest, breast, and head. I recommend aloe and maybe a Xanax I don't know what the hell this idiots problem was. read more

Great service and wonderful prices! They went through the damage on my car thoroughly and gave me a fair quote. They didn't try to overcharge me or do anything sneaky. I went to a few other places to get quotes and even those these guys weren't the cheapest they just seemed the most honest. read more

Excellent service and take time to explain the issue. Very professional. Also, i usually don't post review!

I have never come across such polite, honest and true to their word mechanic shop. Sylvia and Rose at front desk are professional, knowledgeable and so nice. I always wait to get my car and no matter what you ask for whether its a small job or a large job no matter who walks in it's the best possible service given! There are truly not many shops left like this one, so a huge THANK YOU to all of the staff at Val's. Marianna R read more

I have been sharing with everyone how wonderful they are. An asset to Great Neck and I will be going to them for years to come!!! read more

From day one John & Val are truly very dedicated, honest & reliable which can be hard to find when one is looking for a repair shop. When it comes to there customers they will always find time to hear what is wrong with your truck or car problem. For me making an appointment to bring my car in for service is the only way to go since they are a such a busy shop. Rose the Office Manager will make the appointment when you phone the shop, she is to me a very hard working woman which I think is great. read more

Val is the best. I've known him for almost 30 years, and it's always a pleasure to bring my car to him. I refer everyone to him, even my boss! (Who was also very pleased with the work and professionalism.) I couldn't give higher praise. Go see Val and John and you'll never go anywhere else. read more
