Chicken Souvlaki Wrap
Gloria M.

I've passed by Plaka Grill many times and finally had the chance to try it- wow!- I'll definitely be coming back! The menu has a lot to choose from, but for dishes, basically either a plate, bowl, or wrap. I tried the chicken souvlaki wrap and it was so good. The chicken was tender, pita bread was soft, good sauce, big portion. The fries were hot and fresh too. Interior is simple and clean, order at the counter and they'll bring it to your table.

I stopped by here for dinner Sunday night and I'm glad I did! They have a good variety of different options that I went with a build your own bowl and went with the chicken. The sauces were fantastic, can't go wrong and there are a good number of options whatever you're feeling. I would recommend the half rice and half salad and it feels like a very complete meal you all your toppings. Service was pretty quick and after ordering from the counter, they'll bring it to you at your table. Everything was clean and they had a fun mural that span most of the restaurant.

Pork Souvlaki Bowl with Rice, Sautéed Onions, Pickled Onions, Pepper Medley, Hummus and Melitzanosalata

Tasty food and friendly staff with a convenient location in the Giant shopping center that has plenty of parking. You order at the counter and they bring your food to your table, some of the menu items/sauces might be unfamiliar so you can ask the staff or look at the dip appetizer section of the menu for explanations of most of them, They have an extensive menu and I tried the zucchini fritters appetizer (fried zucchini patties with mozzarella, mind and garlic) which I enjoyed and went perfectly with the tzatziki yogurt sauce. I also had the pork souvlaki rice bowl with rice, sauteed onions, pickled onions, pepper medley, hummus and melitzanosalata (roasted eggplant with onion and garlic). This was a large portion of tasty Greek food and everything fit well together, though the pork was a bit fatty but perfectly seasoned. I enjoyed my meal here and will be back again.

Plaka Gyro Wrap

The gyro here is very delicious and for $10.50 you're getting a nicely sized gyro which is amazing. The gyro meat is tender and fresh although the fries are about $6 they give you A LOT

Small Plaka Salad, add Chicken Souvlaki

Plaka Grill has always been a favorite of mine! Every time I go, I have to get the Plaka Salad with grilled chicken. It's so light and refreshing, the perfect pick-me-up in the middle of a busy day when you just need a good meal that doesn't weigh you down. Yes, the salad is a little on the pricey side, but honestly? Totally worth it in my eyes. I'm a salad girl through and through, and this place is valid when it comes to their salads. Highly recommend if you're looking for something fresh and satisfying! This time, we ate inside and sat in a booth. The inside was cool and comfortable, with a nice vibe. I loved that they had seating options where you could sit facing outside, perfect for a little people-watching or just enjoying some natural light while you eat.

Plaka Gyro

This is a must try place. The location has plenty of parking spaces and the restaurant is well lit, nicely decorated, and very clean. The staff are courteous and helpful. But I know you want to hear about the food, so here it goes: the food is divine. I took my teenager for dinner and we got two different gyros. My teen got the Plaka which has pork and the typical toppings and then they add French fries inside the gyro. He loved it, I could only count carbs. I ordered the Chicago which seemed as a more balanced meal and it was delicious. The prices are competitive or simply put just right. It is just under chipotle and the food is better. We also ordered the Hummus and as many know, everyone makes hummus differently and prefer it also differently. For my taste it was just ok, I would have preferred a smoother hummus (less corse). I will be going to this place more frequently for sure.

Finding a good tzatziki nowadays seems challenging so I'm starting this review by saying the tzatziki was so good!!! Perfect consistency and flavor. The pita was so soft and all the dips were delicious. Personal favorites were the tzatziki and Tyrokafteri. The chicken souvlaki was so juicy and tender - I don't love getting grilled chicken out because a lot of times it's too dry or bland but this was so good. Especially dipped in the dips! Definitely a quite bite place and nothing fancy but you'll get good food here for sure.

Not sure what happened to my previous review, but it's been a while since I've been to Plaka Grill! I was craving for a Chicago-style gyro, so I came here for a late lunch - I ordered their Chicago Gyro, which came with a lamb & beef gyro meat that was perfectly cooked, sliced red onions, tzatziki sauce, and sliced tomatoes in a pita bread. I did ask for extra red onions and opted out of the lettuce, and requested the gyro meat to be well-done/crispy. The pita came generously filled, albeit the pita being a little dry. This wrap still satisfied my craving! Staff were welcoming and friendly, and there were plenty of seats inside - I was surprised at how spacious this place is, compared to their Vienna location. Located in Falls Plaza, and there's plenty of parking in the shared plaza lot. +Chicago Gyro +dry pita bread +friendly service +located in Falls Plaza +plenty of parking in shared plaza lot

Plaka Grill food is delicious. Great place for gyro, souvlaki, greek salads, hummus, etc. The food comes out fairly quickly and hot. The prices are pretty reasonable for this area. Definitely recommended if you are craving some Greek food!

Interior is bright and open.

Consistently great - excellent dips (taziki), tasty, well prepared - usually get take away, but sometimes eat there.

We go there monthly, usually for take away. The rotisserie chicken, Greek green beans, potatoes, and spanakopita are excellent.

We walked in and were ignored by staff for several minutes which should have been a good indicator of how the rest of the night was going to go. The server eventually came around to take orders. We put in our requests and waited. And waited and waited. She brought bread with oil early on which was helpful for my friends, but I'm gluten free. She never came back to refill water. After an hour of waiting, she came and asked if she'd taken our orders already. Ummm yes, an hour ago. We reiterated what we'd asked for. She wandered away and my friend walked up to the counter. The man told us his chef had an emergency and had to leave. He said we'd have our food in two minutes. Fifteen minutes later we finally had it. He apologized and said he'd compensate us with baklava. Again, I can't eat baklava, but I thought the gesture was fine. My friend was interested. The food was tasty, but after waiting so long I was starving and it wasn't enough to fill the void. The people at the table behind us left because they ran out of time after 80 minutes of waiting. The server, who should've been the one to tell us what was happening and the reasons for the delay brought the check and walked away. No baklava, no discount for inconvenience, no apology, no "thank you for your patience", no water refills at any point. 90 minutes start to finish under a vent dumping cold air. So I struggle to give a bad review because the food was good and I understand emergencies. However, the lack of communication and follow through warrant a reminder than customer service is important. I'm not sure if I would risk going back. Ambience: 5* Service: 0* Food: 4* Wait time: 0* Overall: a generous 2*

I really enjoyed my meal! The preparation of the fish was perfect. The skin was crispy, lightly seasoned just like in Greece. It's the closest thing to Greek food I've had here, at least in regards to the dish. The lamb shank was alright aromas and flavor could've been a little stronger for the red sauce. I was also happy that none of the seafood had a fishy taste to it. They also deboned the branzino. The fish also had a lot of meat so I felt as though I got my moneys worth. As for the grilled octopus it was a little tough in the fatty areas, but overall the flavor and quality was great! The feta psiti was so so, I had it in Greece and it wasn't even close. The dough was a square and it wasn't flaky and delicious like I had. We ordered: Apps Grilled octopus 9/10 Feta Psiti 6/10 Imported Branzino 10/10 Lamb shank over orzo 8/10 Overall, I'd come back 100%. The service was great, fast, cleaned up the areas and dishes well, and informative.

Sorry I don't have photos of everything. The food, service and ambiance were all excellent. I loved the open and airy feel of the restaurant with the big windows and great sunlight. This is the 2nd location I have been to and so far this one is my favorite. Parking is a little wonky as the town gets pretty busy during prime dining hours. You can find street parking if you're patient. All in all, I wish I lived closer so I could enjoy this super-delicious and authentic, greek food all the time.

The salad was wilted and plated in the same container as the meat and rice. The steam from the other hot dishes could have caused the wilting. I was not a fan of the rice either. The other people in our party were fine with the rice, so maybe it was just me. I have heard about Plaka Grill as a family dining destination.
