It was clear from the outset that they care deeply about their clients and were personally invested in finding the right solution for us. We recently enlisted Marco's services after learning of my mother-in-law's accelerating memory issues. Prior to selecting Marco, we interviewed 3 separate placement agencies and ultimately selected Moving Mom based on Marco's deep knowledge of the industry, his client focus and exemplary follow through, not to mention his incredibly personable style. Marco is an exceptional communicator. He listened carefully as we outlined my mother-in-law's situation, and he quickly reached out to the case worker at the hospital to educate himself on the details of her medical condition. He subsequently arranged tours of the facilities that he felt would be the best fit for her situation. On the tours, he prompted the tour guide with outstanding questions, zeroing in on things we would not have even thought to ask, since this was our first experience with this type of situation. Anytime I had a question, he responded immediately to my phone calls or texts. He is also extremely well connected and has great relationships with the case workers at the hospitals and the step down/rehab facilities, so he was able to get information and facilitate meetings/visits quickly. One weekend I had a question and didn't want to bother him on his phone, so I sent him an email requesting that he get back to me the following week. Much to my pleasant surprise, I received an immediate text message saying he had received my email, and he had already acted upon my request. With Marco's help, we believe we found the perfect facility for my mother-in-law. He has even followed up periodically since she moved in to ensure the experience was meeting our expectations. We could not be more pleased with the final outcome, but equally important we valued his thought leadership and support throughout the entire process. We live in MN and needed to find a place for our loved one in Arizona. Marco was amazing. He was very personable, listened and really understood our needs as though this was his own family seeking placement. He had places booked for us to check out when we arrived in AZ. thank you thank you thank you! It was hard to deal with my mother's dementia. For the past year I have been at sea trying to make sense out of the red tape with finding an assisted living community or group homes for my mom. (One of the problems is how aggressively these businesses are marketed so that you can't get any idea of what else is out there because each individual place wants you to only consider them.) I had no where to go for basic information about where to even start. I contacted the area on aging and some other agencies but they suggested alzheimers classes etc. Things were getting worse and honestly, thank god my mom ended up in ER because at least that led me to a social worker at the hospital where i learned there was such a thing as a 'placement service'. Wow. And that's when I met Kiki. She was so informative! I couldn't believe my luck finally and supportive and incredibly competent at helping me through every facet of my overwhelming problem. It is very nice, clean and the staff have been very helpful and supportive. I then asked Marco to suggest an ALTCS Application Service to help us with the application process. He said he would ask around. The very next day he called with the name of one, SAS LLC. This is exactly what we were looking for. A retired attorney called me back with questions to see if our family member qualified. There was no charge for this consultation. His fee is very reasonable. I had already spoken to someone at another service who charged over three times as much and was not an attorney nor had any impressive credentials. Within a few hours, I had appointments to tour two group homes that were in the geographic area we were hoping for. I suddenly needed to find an assisted living facility for my aunt. Marco was recommended by Del Webb Hospital and he was a godsend. I live out of state and had no knowledge of the area. Amazing experience! We needed an almost immediate placement for a loved one who was leaving the hospital and required a safe place to stay.
