She lives in the memory care unit; you have to have a password to use the elevator to get to her floor. I forgot to mention, they have a tablet that you use to check in- you enter your phone number and then it asks if you're seeing your person. It takes your picture, then it prints out a label. You have to use it to check out too, security is important. I went to their Thanksgiving buffet, everyone went to the first floor and got their food. The whole dinning room was open, so family could come visit their loved ones.

I WOULD RECOMMEND PHX Mountain to anyone! The care is TOP NOTCH! I'm on the younger side (For once) to be in a Skilled nursing home! I took care of my father and mother before they passed so I know nursing homes ALL OVER PHOENIX AREA including Tempe, Chandler, Mesa, P.V., I know how scary and terrifying some of these places are! That is not the case for Phoenix Mountain on Tatum. The nurses like nurse Barry and nurse. Tristan are amazing. I can't say enough great things. The rooms were clean. The food was fantastic. OK there was a couple days a couple meals are weird, however, 90% of the time the food was phenomenal! When I was there, they had a fantastic chef! The physical therapy team outstanding, the nurses aids or the CNA's down to the housekeeping crew we're incredible. They kept that place immaculate. Although the nurses are overworked, they need a raise and they need to have a one nurse per hallway!!!!! then it will run so much smoother for the nurses. The nurses worked their buns off! and I am so appreciative of that and I am so grateful! I cannot tell you how pleasantly surprised I was of how great this place was!, the people that lived there and that were in my same situation were awesome. My room was lovely. I overlooked a fountain and had lots of sunlight and I had my own bathroom. My roommate was incredible Patricia. She's a 93-year-old blind woman who is the most interesting person. She was awesome, again the place was fantastically clean! It looks a little old older, but it makes up for everything of how great the nurses are and the care is, it was great. The food was great. They even have an area outside where they had a big barbecue and we had hamburgers and hotdog for everyone and they have tons and tons of activities. If that's what your people are into, they had games they had workouts. It was incredible. I can't say enough good things and I'm only in my 50s and I was so surprised but so grateful! I also did have a loved one who stayed there and she had a good experience there too!, so take it from me, I was just there the last day of February 2026 for an entire month until April and I cannot say enough good things about this place! My daughter was transported here this evening from the hospital. She broke her hip and had surgery…read morein mid-Sept. They sent her to Honor Health rehab in Scottsdale. It was wonderful...she did so well and had intense therapy every day including weekends. After 2 weeks she was ready to go home. The day before she was to leave..she heard a "pop" and they discovered another bone in her hip broke. Back to the hospital. The next day the surgeon removed the prosthesis and put in a new, longer one. The case Mgr at the hospital where we wanted her to go for therapy...we said back to Honor Health Rehab in Scottsdale...her insurance denied it. I tried everything to get them to change, but they kept denying with no good explanation. So..we were given choices abd we chose North Mountain Rehab. They transported my daughter, who is disabled, mid-50s, at 6:00 p.m. Friday evening. She called to tell me she was there and the room number. I went straight to North Mountain only to find out she wasn't there and no one knew where she was. I called her cell..she thought she was at North Mountain. I told her to look around and she found something that said Phoenix Mountain! So I went there. She was in a room by herself. There was 1 nurse who was frazzled and said she'd come in and talk to us but never did. I found another young woman who worked there..very nice. I told her there was nothing in the room that my daughter needs...no walker, no commode, no wheelchair, etc. She said nothing would happen until she was evaluated by physical therapy...I asked when that would happen..she was new there and thought it wouldn't be before Monday. My daughter needed to use the bathroom...and did in the hospital..but there was no equipment nor enough help to get her there. She was informed she'd have to wear a diaper! Needless to say we are both very upset..it sounds as if she's going to have to just lie in bed until Monday and will get no therapy until then. It appears this is more of a understaffed nursing home than a rehab center...there is no one to call and nothing that can be done until Monday at the earliest. This has been a horrible experience.

Caring for Loved Ones was recommended, and we were lucky enough to get a room. The home is clean and very well taken care of but what really stands apart is the staff!!!! Wow....Chris, Shawn and the amazing chef Intan!!! I lived out of state and every morning Chris would give me an update on how my Dad was doing. The staff is there 24/7 unlike other group homes. The owners are amazing and have been in this business for 11 years, so they know what they are doing and come with very high standards. When my Dad was passing the staff did not leave our sides. My sister and I were so supported through his passing. I cannot say enough great things about Caring for Loved Ones.

I was very impressed with The Retreat at Alameda. Staff are professional and kind. The security…read morefor visitors is great. Any visitor is required to sign in on a kiosk and your photo is taken. Many activities are happening for the residents. A menu is posted for the daily meals. There are two seating times for each meal. Several of us went to visit a friend who now lives there. The facility allows pets and we met Lily of the Valley, our friend's cat. The rooms are good sized with bedroom and sitting area. A small microwave and refrigerator are in the room. The cleaning staff come often. While we were sitting in her room, a staff person came to visit. She was there to help bathe our friend, but said she would come back later. It was an enjoyable visit. They have their own parking lot.

The facility was clean and welcoming, the staff was warm and friendly and the location is very close to the freeway and easy to get to. My husband is a patient at Biltmore Assisted Living facility & I am very pleased with the quality…read moreof care that he has received while a resident. My husband suffers from dementia. The director of the facility, Traci Victor, has given me access to her phone number, and the communication is great. She prefers communication via texting, as it allows for faster response time. The facility is on the smaller side, with 10 residents calling the property home. However, because of the smaller patient size, it allows for a more favorable patient to staff ratio. The kitchen is an open concept adjacent to the main game/TV room. Food is prepared daily, good quality & nutritious. The portions may appear small, but residents are mostly elderly & that fits with their lifestyle. My husband has his own private room with an accompanying bathroom (consisting of a toilet & sink) The shower is across the hall, which is appropriate for safety & assistance. There is a very nice "Sun Room" facing a very large backyard. I have seen residents enjoying said room, & meals are done with socialization with other residents. My husband prefers his meals to be served on the couch in front of the main TV using a table with wheels. Medications are coordinated & dispensed. I feel blessed to have Dr Talisa Adkison MD, reviewing his needs monthly. She is truly a saint & spent more than 30 minutes interviewing him. Her office staff is also exemplary . If I need to call, someone will pick up, which is convenient for me, as I reside out of State. Dr Adkison will either respond herself, or direct staff of her intentions. Dr is the physician for most of the other residents. Holidays are festive, & Traci has the facility decorated to reflex the season. Traci has given special interest to my husband during Christmas & his birthday. He is a fan of the San Francisco Giants baseball team, & she was thoughtful enough to gift him a hat of said franchise for his birthday. He has spoken of this gift frequently, & it gives him much comfort & pleasure. This is of much amazement on my part due to his dementia & short term memory loss. I highly recommend Biltmore Assisted Living for loved ones experiencing issues with memory loss & cognitive decline. The facility is a thorough, safe & clean environment. They have preformed a difficult job to a high standard.

Residents eat on a terrace overlooking beautiful grounds. Tracy, the certified house manager, was outstanding in keeping the home spotless and meeting the needs of the residents. My mom adored Tracy and her little dog, Wilkie. Linda was a warm soul who took care of medications and also enjoyed cooking meals for the residents. To have my mom pass away in a place where she was never lonely, felt loved and respected, was a gift. For that our family is grateful. However, I like transparency. It shows integrity and character. Mike, the co owner is very friendly at first but I feel he was intentionally trying to pull the wool over our eyes. Regarding deposit money, we would have placed our mom there anyway, so there was no reason to be deceitful. Make sure to read contract carefully and get a copy as soon as you sign. I did not get a copy and I noticed 500.00 move in fee and $500.00 administrative fee. We weren't charged those nor had I ever seen them on my contract. I think the fees were typed in after the fact. Mike, (Mihai Ilioi) the co-owner, knows that placing a loved one in an assisted living home is an emotional time for family. Many of us aren't thinking as clearly. So Read the Contract carefully, take your time, do not be rushed and get a copy right then and there. You have the right to make an informed choice.
