I had broken down on a busy intersection in Lansing. We called PJ's Towing and got a driver named Shawn. He was fantastic, very professional and we enjoyed speaking with him on the ride back. If you ever need a tow, this company is great and will take good care of you. He was even able to give a ride home since I didn't have my truck. Extra fee, but worth it! True definition of service with a smile! I was recently involved in a car accident, and there was a lot of confusion on the scene as traffic was busy and it occurred right in front of a high-traffic business on a main street. After speaking with the police it was unclear if I needed to call for a tow, or if he would. I called my insurance company and they advised to let the police handle it. I approached the officer once more and he provided me with phone numbers to a couple of different companies. After calling the first company, I wasn't optimistic about how the aftermath of this accident was going to play out. Next I called PJ's and from the moment they answered the phone, I felt relief and assured that everything would be ok. The woman that answered my call was extremely helpful and knowledgeable. She was also quick in gathering info and making decisions. She collected my payment info and assured me that I would be charged only once the car was picked up. About 5minutes after leaving the vehicle to seek medical care, the tow truck driver called and told me that they would not be charging me because car was totaled. He took the necessary info from me and said he would take care of the rest. I was elated to avoid the unexpected $100 expense the week of Christmas! I slid into a field on Benton Rd on February 6th. I called my Road Trouble Service within my insurance company. Unable to speak with a real person; just numerous prompts. I was so shook up as it was, I had no patience for these. I called PJ'S directly. I received (2) texts ftom them...(1) sending me my 'order' and then (2) when they were on their way. Mike arrived and put me at ease. He said he'd have me out in a jiffy, told me which direction to turn the wheels and pulled me out into the road. He couldn't have been nicer!! Incredibly frustrated with this tow company. They will be blacklisted in our family, that's for sure. I had to assist my kid in getting their car back. They had parked in a spot designated for a gym while visiting a friend briefly near MSU. Gym called PJ's and had their car towed. $290 in fees, and I was left with under 2 hours before they closed which would have led to another $50 storage fee for another day. Since the car was titled in my name, I had to show drive to Lansing in person to get it. WTF! When I arrived at their storage lot the entire outside work area outside stunk of marijuana. Strong and prevalent! Only people there were tow truck workers, so leads one to wonder what they're smoking, on the job, with some of them behind the wheel of those tow trucks. BTW, office was fine, it was just the immediate garage and storage area. And again, NO ONE else was their other than myself and workers. Only redeeming aspect of it all was professionalism and understanding of the three office staff members. They were fine and not the problem. Overall just disgusted by the situation: their absorbent fees (towed it 5 miles and stored it for a couple hours), and the weed stench at there Resener St location in Lansing. Black listed. I don't recommended this towing company. My vehicle was damaged while loading. Had photos and videos taken but they still denied responsibilities. I spoke with Micah Passerby whom I was told he's the owner. Through numerous calls and emails he completely ignored me. No return on calls or emails. If I could leave 0 stars I ABSOLUTELY would. DO NOT, for the love of god, have these people tow your car if you were in an accident (!!) in or around lansing, seriously !!! They will take complete advantage of a terrible situation and d*mn near scam you out of hundreds just to retrieve the car. My car wasnt even here for 24 hours total and they charged me for two whole days of storage at $60 per day when i went to pick it up the next day. They then charged a fee of $300 for an "accident tow" to take it to their tow yard that was 15 minutes away from the scene of the accident. On top of this, they had the nerve to charge an additional $100 for "labor". Just an overall modern day legal scam if you ask me. You are better off picking up the car with your bare hands and carrying it your d*mn self to save hundreds in fees from these soulless people! I ended up paying over 500 in total for less than a day of the car being in their lot after the accident. I believe their prices for regular tows might be more affordable but their accident towing rates are absurdly high!! On the bright side, their tow truck drivers were very kind and helpful! read more

Only place that answered on the first phone call. put decent effort into attempting to jump start my Jeep, didn't charge for the failed attempt. Taught me how to pop it into neutral when it wasn't receiving power, something other tow companies don't seemingly know about. Fast and friendly. Honestly the best towing experience I've ever had. The tow truck driver I had goes by "Tennessee". Tennessee was at my location in minutes. He had my Yukon on his tow truck (in a snowstorm) in less than five minutes. The whole experience took about 15 minutes from initial call to final destination. Great price too! read more

They came to my house and broke into my sons car to tow it. When I went out there and asked what they were doing they gave their story. Ultimately, they were at the wrong house, breaking into and trying to tow the wrong car. When we called the office, they hung up on us. When we went there, they laughed and smirked, were rude and unprofessional. We had to call the police just to get them to give us answers. They damaged the door they broke into. They did admit to the police they broke in and were going to tow it, and that they had the wrong house and car. When I posted a negative review on their FB page, they called us pathetic losers. Never an apology from them, and still waiting. They only wanted to berate us for their mistake. I got the following response from the owners wife, Jen Daly: "Actually it appears you guys are the ones who are pathetic! Get a life! Seriously, do you have nothing better to do than to gather up 10 of your friends and bash a very well run successful company! Losers!"
