No longer there. It is now a smoothie place. Was sorely disappointed. If you're looking for coffee you won't find it here

Surprisingly, a great cup of coffee. I didn't wanna drive far away for a cuppa coffee and found this place. Nice and bold. Great staff.

My husband and I love this place. We were floored by the robust flavor of each of the homemade gravies. They have a tomato gravy, a sausage gravy, and a redeye gravy. The texture of the gravy was not too thick and none of them were greasy. We each ate a plate of homemade biscuits and in-house made gravy. Although the biscuits and gravy seem like a small serving, the dish is really an adequate meal. Overall, the flavor of the food and the friendliness of the staff solidified our making this restaurant our breakfast place when we visit Mobile.

The price is pretty decent for what you're getting. Right in between WH and the slipper. I know I shouldn't eat anything creamy or milky but I had the shrimp and grits! The tomato/bacon topping with the shrimp had THE PERFECT bit of lemon zest/squeeze to it. I could use another cup of grits. But I had a nap after breakfast and woke up after they closed. My husband had the burger and said it was so juicy!! I know he will be back for sure for the burger and I'll be back for the shrimp and grits! Lactose intolerance be damned!!

Stayed anyway because server and hostess were good and atmosphere was cute. I ordered a Power Bowl called the Garden Breakfast Bowl (I knew my mom ordering traditional breakfast for me to sneak bites from). I was hoping for healthy crunch and boost to my day. The vinaigrette was too much for the fresh veggies, bulgar wheat and quinoa. I'm not sure what you would put on that power bowl but that dressing was not it. It had too much of it as well. The veggies and avocado were fresh and ratio of other fillers was good. I wouldn't get it again though. Like I said I took some bites of my mom's traditional breakfast. Eggs cooked correctly, bacon was too, Belgian waffle was very good- fluffy and sweet. Pancake was basic. Overall, the whole experience was basic honestly. I wouldn't turn down if invited there but not going back on my own.

It was a Friday night and the music was loud, you can sit at the bar or at a table. It was several people eating in. We decided on the Wings with Cajun Nawlins fries, and the Bando Nachos. The Bando has a full menu and bar. The service was great and it wasnt a long wait for the food. I asked for sour cream and salsa for the nachos and they didn't have any so I stopped by the store to get some. I was super excited to try the food. It was super salty. Everything was salty. I tried to move past it because I was so hungry but it completely dried my mouth out and I had to stop. I was really disappointed. Experience 2: 4* We had to go back and give it another try before I left and I'm so glad we did! We had brunch. I had the Chicken and Strawberry Crack Waffle and my friend had the Lamb Chops, Shrimp and Grits. Everything was so good! Big A came to greet us and we told him about our food a few nights before and he explained that the meat is marinated and they probably seasoned it again. He was very apologetic. He told today would be better and he would ensure it. The food was fresh, hot and tasty! We really enjoyed it! We also got some gumbo to go and it was really good! I would definitely return if I was in the area!

The food was delicious and so flavorful. I think they make everything fresh to order. Everything came out piping hot and amazing. We can't wait to go back! Man I love diners and I am so easy to please. I don't complain about really anything in life (just…read moreask my family and friends) but sometimes I have to nitpick when I see something that could use some improvement. Came here Sunday May 3rd around 1pm. Was busy but not completely full where you had to wait for a table. We sat down and waited for our server to take our order. It took our server about 20 mins to come over and take our order. So we put in our food order when the server came by to take our drink order. Food took about 40 mins from when we ordered to when we got our food. I used to work in restaurants (the busiest of restaurants) and know that you should staff more, prep more, and place larger food orders in anticipation of being fully booked friday night till sunday night. I ordered gumbo. My niece got biscuits and gravy. The gumbo was pretty good except would have liked the roux a little thicker. The gravy on the biscuits was lacking in flavor. I love diners and love supporting locally owned businesses. Maybe some staff called off this particular day because the service was slow. But I wil be back.

Menu is standard greasy spoon diner fare, but executed perfectly with good portions big enough to fill but not so big as to stuff one like a turkey. I very much enjoyed my Corned Beef Hash, but salivated over the beautiful Biscuits and Gravy that others ordered. Service was quick and friendly without hovering or sucking up. Clearly a lot of regular customers--people walking up were welcomed by first names by the waitresses. I'll definitely be back.

We got lucky and found one of the few non metered spots on the street. The restaurant was a bit busy when we arrived, but they where able to seat us promptly. The service was good. Our table ordered several items off the brunch/breakfast menu. I had the Seafood Eggs Benedict. For the most part this was a solid eggs benedict. However the shrimp were away overcooked and rubbery. They were a bit smallish and just not worth the time or charge. Hands down the best part about the dish was the Honey Ham. It was flavorful and there was a good bit included on the dish. In general it was fine, but not exactly worth the $18 it cost. Cubed Hashbrowns: I mixed bag. Every order at the table the Hashbrowns came out a bit different. Mine were undercooked and crunchy inside, I like them overcooked and crispy. Others at the table had them crunch and almost burnt. You can have them come with cheese and onions. I suggest this upgrade. Others at the table had: Eggs Cathedral: Needed salt. The same dry shrimp as the other dishes. Another dish that just did not seem to justify the cost. BLT Croissant: Was an ok looking sandwich, there was a good amount of bacon on the sandwich, however most of it was very well done. $15 Kids "Egg Breakfast: 1 egg, 1 Meat, 1 Toast. Looked fine. Spot of Tea was not a bad meal and there is good diversity to the Breakfast menu. However nothing the table had has was great, just mostly good. The Shrimp however were just bad. It seems that they are cooked in batches early in the day and added to dishes as needed. So I would personally avoid the "jumbo" shrimp dishes. Side note on the shrimp they are the same one that was added to the bloody marry cocktail. I think the biggest hang-up is the price to quality ratio. If you are in the area and want an eggs benedict you may want to give them a try. For me however I think there are better options to get full in the area.
