I asked why all I ordered was just hot coffee, which is $2.80 at their billboard menu. The girl in the window said you ordered a latte. I said no, just the hot coffee. Then her and another woman looked displeased. They closed the window and then finally gave me my coffee for which I paid $4.17. When I was getting my coffee, I heard them laughing. When I pulled off and tried my coffee, it was extremely sweet. I think they added either sugar or a lot of syrup on purpose to "get back at me." I was late for work so I did not go back. It's terrible and should not have happened. I don't think I am going back to this CC's. For all they know I could have been diabetic and died from the amount of sugar they put in my drink. It's uncalled for.

Despite the name, none of the locations are actual trucks, but they are very cute bright yellow brick and mortar locations. I got the first coffee listed on the menu. The New Orleans Iced Coffee with Chicory. Chicory is a root, that is very popular to get in coffee in New Orleans. First, I love the tiny ice cubes used in this coffee. Why doesn't every single coffee shop offer the tiny ice cubes? They keep your drink cold, while they don't take a ton of volume away from your coffee! I love the chicory flavor of this coffee! It's naturally nutty and a tiny bit chocolatey without any syrups. This area at Whole Foods has some yellow bar stools for seating options. If I was in the area I would keep an eye out for French Truck Coffee.

Dark, inviting, unapologetically different, and incredibly well thought out. The menu is both complex and simple at the same time. Every drink feels intentional, built around flavor instead of simply loading it with sugar and syrups. It doesn't taste like someone trying to recreate Starbucks--it tastes like a team asking themselves, "What coffee drinks do we wish existed that nobody else makes?" Then they went out and created them. That's exactly what they've done. Every drink expands your palate. You'll try combinations you probably wouldn't order anywhere else, only to realize they're incredibly balanced. The coffee itself never gets lost behind sweetness. Every ingredient has a purpose, and it shows. It's the kind of place that makes you realize there are still new flavors and combinations to discover. The shop itself is small, and that's part of its charm. Think of it as a place to experience great coffee rather than spend hours on your laptop. The service is quick, friendly, knowledgeable, and genuinely welcoming. You'll probably drive right past it the first time.
