I have gone to locations on the East Coast as well as California, and those are full scale stores, often multiple stories with ceiling high statues of candy. Although this is merely a booth area, I loved the open air feel. Couple this with the service, I this one more than the one on The River Walk. The employees were very friendly. Aside from a few things not having been priced yet, they were operating efficiently & smoothly for day one. The prices here are admittedly higher than most stores, but I would advise seeing it more as an experience. There is also definitely far more selection and variety than The average candy store. One can always try for very little from the candy in the bins. Quality over quantity. The typical by the lb candy, the section with oversized everything, sushi candy, full sized pizza candy, then my favorite, Plush Yummy World Food! The story behind Yummy World is that they were originally designed by Heidi Kenney (http://www.mypapercrane.com) before being bought by KidRobot. I have loved her art for more than a decade, and only admired her even more after meeting her during a local art festival in her home state, Pennsylvania (the festival was in Philadelphia, she lives in nearby Waynesboro). Anyways, they have many of these plushes there! Adorable. Cheese Balls, Curly Fries, Fruit, and Tacos that last forever. Enough said.

We stopped by and I was amazed by the selection and how they were able to customize bags! I have been having pregnancy cravings for chamoy candy, and since we couldn't make a trip to San Antonio this month, my sweet husband was able to have some shipped to us for a delicious surprise! Not only were they accommodating and shipped the candy to us, they also added additional bags in the shipment!!

Their shelves are packed with goodies. Parking is a little bit of an issue, it's limited parking, and it gets very packed where they are located. They have a lot of authentic Mexican items, and candy. Their prices are extremely reasonable. I got me a lot of snacks and some items. They have table covers, candy, drinks, small nicknacks, piñatas and more. I was hit was some nostalgia with some of the items they sell. In the grocery area they don't have produce, but a big variety of sauces, seasoning, furikake, soba noodles, curry mix. They had a lot of snacks also, including crackers, chips, and osenbe. In the back they have a freezer section with some frozen fish, udon noodles, ramen, and natto. I got some canned coffee also from their fridge and they sold a lot of bottled drinks (calpico, etc). Immediately after walking inside, we knew we made the right choice to come down. The vibes were insane!! Everything was decorated as a space theme, with super cool menu items that also reflected an alien/space vibe. We got a couple scoops of ice cream and my brother and I knew we had to try their fruit roll up wrapped pickle that was garnished with 2 types of chamoy and tajin. Omg. It was crazy. It was so interesting and sour, but we couldn't stop eating it haha. I would 1000% recommend paying a visit to Snak X if you enjoy a dope space themed ice cream shop!
