Wow, what a fun place. I discovered Snak X after seeing a tiktok posted about it, and knew we had to make a stop during our trip to SA. Immediately after walking inside, we knew we made the right choice to come down. The vibes were insane!! Everything was decorated as a space theme, with super cool menu items that also reflected an alien/space vibe. We got a couple scoops of ice cream and my brother and I knew we had to try their fruit roll up wrapped pickle that was garnished with 2 types of chamoy and tajin. Omg. It was crazy. My family and I recently visited Snak X and had a pretty good experience overall. The lady who helped us was incredibly friendly and attentive. She made sure we knew exactly what our options were and gave great recommendations based on what we were looking for. The ice cream shop ambiance was spectacular. We decided to try a couple of their signature "Cinnamon Cyclops" creations: one with one scoop of strawberry ice cream and strawberry topping, and the other with one scoop of cookies and cream ice cream and a banana topping. Both were delicious, with the cinnamon toast churro base being a perfect complement to the creamy ice cream and toppings. We also ordered a regular cookies and cream milkshake (forgot to take a photo), which was thick, creamy, and satisfying. The bubble waffles are made to order, so expect about a 8-10 minute wait for them to be ready. While everything tasted really good, I do think the prices were a bit steep. At $9.99 each for the Cyclops and $9.50 for a regular milkshake, it felt like we were paying a premium for something that was tasty, but not quite exceptional enough to justify the cost. All in all, the flavors were great, the service was excellent, but I'd say Snak X is one of those spots where I might indulge in a treat occasionally, but it's a little hard to make it a regular stop given the price, so I have to settle with three stars for this place because of the steep price. read more

Came here based on the San Antonio Restaurant Facebook page and it didn't disappoint! The owner was incredibly nice, patient while my children asked for samples and answered all their questions! The place has a great vibe, the artistry is simply amazing. The black lights, the cloud filled ceiling, the seating area and the techno/EDM/dance music makes this a great place to come get your sugar fix on and just enjoy it with your significant other or littles. However, you MUST check out the bathroom! I never would have thought to encourage others to use their one bathroom but if these owners didn't miss a beat and made sure they stuck to the theme through in and through out this place!!! They are great with the details in this place!! Bathroom was bright but super clean, white, with an amazing ceiling! Apparently there's noise like you're in a space ship but I didn't get to hear it! They had a good selection of ice cream and sorbets! A lot of toppings and options for the kiddos or the kid at heart. Their one scoop seems more like two scoops so the portion is pretty good and the pricing is on par with the amount we got! I would recommend this place if you want just a funky cool place to get your ice cream fix! My kids got the bombpop sorbet and the blue coconut and they devoured it. They sell bluebell ice cream so you can't go wrong! I had the butter crunch and my husband the vanilla! Both were exceptional! Mixed reviews for me on this place. My son has been wanting to go for a while and I didn't really understand that it was an ice cream place. So the positive...the gentleman that took our order was super friendly and patient and helpful. They had those bubble waffles with a few different flavors. My son got the strawberry one with strawberry cheesecake ice cream. I took a bite of that waffle and it was very good. Not easy to eat with a spoon, but tasty. My ice cream was the same flavor plus a scoop of something else...salted caramel brownie or something. Very good texture and taste! The aspects that I didn't like: I don't know if it was a special occasion or what but there were balloons all over the place and from time to time one would float over the display and enter the food area. The scooper gals swatted away the ones I saw, but I wouldn't be surprised if one or two landed and contaminated the food area. We ordered Italian ice (snow cone), a mango fruit cup, and Jupiter Jayda (vanilla, peanut butter and reeces). The mango was okay. My son loved the snow cone. And I thought the reeces peanut butter shake was delicious. Just don't eat the cereal on the cup because it's not to eat (it was stale). But loved how they decorated the cup. This was our second visit to Snak X and it's still a 5 star spot the treats are roughly 10 dollars each, but considering they give you a monstrous serving size it's pretty fairly priced! The staff is super nice and the vibes, music and ambience is amazing for meetups and gatherings. I got their bubble cone with ice cream and it came with 2 toppings. Wow, y'all! I am so excited. I was out at a local establishment eating a steak dinner with my wife and son. I made the comment, "I wish we had an ice cream place close by". My son said we had a brand new place over by the Little Caeser's Pizza. Neither my wife nor I had seen it, even though we are in that area every single day. We drove over to check it out. This place is spectacular. It is decorated with a bright and beautiful space theme. There are a lot of tables for dining in. There is a sofa pit with a large television that also looks very comfortable. They are a snack place. They have several flavors of Bluebell ice cream. There are scoops, sundaes, shakes, and specialty concoctions to satisfy anybody. They also had some savory foods like hotdogs. I even saw some instant ramen noodles on the shelf. I decided to forget that I was an old man and go for something wild and different. I ordered the Buggy Blast. I think that was the name. It was an amazing blue ice cream milkshake with all sorts of goodies in it. I should have brought a menu home with me, so I could explain it better. Just trust an old fat man. Hands down the coolest treat spot in this area. It's themed to aliens and outer space so it feels like your stepping onto a different planet.
