Before I left town, I heard the plan was to stay open until Valentine's Day 2/14/26. Well, I had checked the website yesterday and saw that the shop was still open to my happy surprise!! I wanted to see the update and if they were going to stay open just until Easter. I talked to Marina the clerk and she gave me the lowdown... She told me that she's telling people who ask that this is a "Semi-Permanent" Popup Shop. The plan is to open 2 locations in San Antonio. They did some inspections on this existing site and they passed. Apparently, they're finalizing store details & building a candy counter offsite. One store will be in Stone Oak for sure & for a 2nd location she suggested on the West side like Alamo Ranch because it's booming. When the CEO came in he asked for feedback & suggestions from employees. He also said he'd heard there was a ton of email asking for a permanent location!! He also saw the sales numbers which were highly positive. Marina said there was a viral Tik-Tok See's Candies post that brought in folks & she posted on Next Door & people came to the shop. She said you just have to let people know where to go. She said something like "If you build it"...and we both said in tandem "THEY WILL COME!!" and laughed! #powertothepeople So for now, cross your fingers, spread the word and continue to support this location. It's finally picked up some traction enough for the CEO to come!! Whoop-whoop!! I perused the aisles and saw leftover Valentine's Day themed candies still available, St. Patrick's Day and Easter-themed chocolates. There's even an Easter Egg weekly themed box slated for March that Marina was thinking would be nice if it's posted on Tik-Tok and becomes viral. I hope they bring back the "For the Love of Caramel" box from Thanksgiving/Christmas that was sold in-shop only. She said a lot of people were looking for that and were bummed because it was seasonal. I hope they consider making it a regular item if company-wide sales showed it sold well.
