This place has got one of the biggest variety of candies that I've seen...candies that were once popular can be found at this gem of a candy store...I seen candy that I have not seen in a while inside here... If you into need of candy whether it's old or new this is the place to go...

What a fun place to visit! We bought candy and a Selena tote bag. I love their bulk options of candy, sauce, and seasonimgs. They have a large variety of items. My favorite parts were the piñatas, Selena items, and shirts!

All the candy you can ask for. From name brand to their specific candies; you can't go wrong. They also have all the pinatas and toys too. You can tell this is a happening place. I was expecting more of their handmade candies as opposed to Jelly Belly's and stuff, but it was a decent price and clean. The staff were nice and friendly too.

Very interesting candy store. We decided to stop by while we drive by. This store is big and carry variety of candy especially the Mexican candy. This includes the powder type candy. Since this Mexican candy store, it carry many shape of piñata. I saw hello kitty piñata which many girl dream items. I saw spicy peanut or nut type snack. There is baby birth celebrating candy basket. Great for celebration. The visit takes 20 minutes. There are some lollipops candy, candy by pound and more. This eye open experience.

We had such a great time exploring the amazing selection of snacks and candies! When I mentioned to one of the team members that we were packing up a snack haul to send to our daughter in the Air Force out in California, they were super helpful. She and her military friends really love getting these care packages! They even hand-picked some extra goodies for us to include. A big thank you for supporting our troops!

The place for everything sweet and more. Many candies were in bulk or bundled in large quantities.

Even as someone who doesn't actively seek out sweets, it's hard not to be impressed with Alamo Candy. In some ways this is like the holy grail of candy in bulk, especially of the Mexican variety. It's a colorful store and the sugary scents are potent. I could get lost in here just perusing all the fun stuff they have. For folks looking for niche candies only found in Mexico, chances are it's available here. In addition, they have fun piñatas, party supplies, obscure candy memorabilia, syrups, drink mixes, and plenty of gift worthy products. I've found packs of some of my favorite childhood sweets (#1) along with chilito straws, picositas candy belts, coco banderas, and chamoy / tamarindo flavored everything. For people who just simply want their reese's / snickers / kit kats, there's plenty of that as well. There is above average selection of regional classic dulce treats from taffies, lollies, and a pretty solid selection of Asian stuff as well (including a section of pocky sticks). If there is something specific on the list, give the store a call ahead of time or check out the inventory on their website (#2). Like so many SA establishments, the staff is bilingual in both Spanish and English. They have their own dedicated parking lot and take credit card. The store is definitely kid friendly and a dream for the anyone into the confectionary life. ___________ (#1) De La Rosa. Mazapan para siempre. (#2) Which also lists the prices as well. So good.

If you're looking for old familiar favorites, Mexican Candy, glass bottle sodas & party favors then look no further! Most items are buy in bulk but are very reasonably priced. I come here for my mini big hunk bars, Charleston chews which have become hard to find & many other items. I have officially fallen in love with their chamoy pickles. They have the perfect sour taste of a movie theater pickle with a bit of spice. They are messy & can stain your fingers/ lips so be warned lol. Also they have a huge selection of chamoy, chamoy cups for michaladas, different chips & other convenient store snacks!

Such a great candy store with a huge selection! I got a bunch of classic items for my husband, who likes "old person candy." They also had a huge selection of Mexican candy. Cool murals outside too.

They got lots of good stuff, just somewhat pricey. Won't deter me tho. I still go back.

Well worth trying their sweets. Can't find anything with this taste in the United Kingdom.

Today was opening day. I was excited to see this place because the one downtown is rather…read moredisappointing. I have gone to locations on the East Coast as well as California, and those are full scale stores, often multiple stories with ceiling high statues of candy. Although this is merely a booth area, I loved the open air feel. Couple this with the service, I this one more than the one on The River Walk. The employees were very friendly. Aside from a few things not having been priced yet, they were operating efficiently & smoothly for day one. The prices here are admittedly higher than most stores, but I would advise seeing it more as an experience. There is also definitely far more selection and variety than The average candy store. One can always try for very little from the candy in the bins. Quality over quantity. The typical by the lb candy, the section with oversized everything, sushi candy, full sized pizza candy, then my favorite, Plush Yummy World Food! The story behind Yummy World is that they were originally designed by Heidi Kenney (http://www.mypapercrane.com) before being bought by KidRobot. I have loved her art for more than a decade, and only admired her even more after meeting her during a local art festival in her home state, Pennsylvania (the festival was in Philadelphia, she lives in nearby Waynesboro). Anyways, they have many of these plushes there! Adorable. Cheese Balls, Curly Fries, Fruit, and Tacos that last forever. Enough said.
