This incredible store transports you to a time where you could could walk to the corner store and get penny candy. What a magical time it was in our childhood! There is a wide variety from wall to wall as you are walking through the store you can't do anything but say ooo do you remember? Next thing you know, you are going down memory lane reminiscing of the good old days! They have been open for 8 years and give you free popcorn on your birthday and get this they even give you free popcorn on your half birthday!!! Great customer service, friendly staff and a trip down memory lane. I could not have asked for a better moment to step into a time machine! Go check them out! read more

Such a fun place! There are 170 flavors of popcorn (good luck choosing what to try first!), there's also candy galore and fun flavors of soda. We chose kettle corn, buttery, white cheddar, salted caramel and monkey farts (it's fruity and so good!). The girl that helped us was Madison and she was such a doll, giving us recommendations and answering questions like a pro. The location is weird with all of the highway construction, but if you're ever near the Forum I highly recommend stopping by and grabbing a bag (or 3!) read more

I got the spicy pickle popcorn the other day, and I have to admit that I really enjoyed it. Next time, I will try the pizza flavor, which was recommended by the very nice lady at the front counter. I didn't like the white cheddar, but that's only because it reminded me of Kraft Mac N Cheese. read more

The Mexican Street Corn popcorn tastes terrible. I made the mistake of buying without sampling and I threw away a Medium bag (big size) in the trash. Taste before buying. Other than that the store is very cool. read more

I love Popcorn Piccadilly don't get me wrong, but there's just one gripe I have and that's the nut blended popcorns. I honestly feel like they are a rip off. I have gotten a few different varieties and it's mostly caramel popcorn w a few nuts in there. I just got a bag of caramel pecan in which I dumped into a bowl to go to town, had 3 pecans in there, 3! $7 for caramel popcorn with a few nuts is just wrong and it has been every nut variety, that was the last one I'll get bc I'm always disappointed. Bc I do love PD I'll just stick to the savory flavored popcorns bc they are amazing in every flavor I've gotten, the extra cheese bis mouthwatering and sooooo good. If they change up how many nuts they add in the nut varieties I'll give them another go. read more

The service was phenomenal. I was able to sample a few items in order to select a truly great batch. With 170+ flavors, it can be difficult to narrow down your options. I selected a mini strawberry shortcake, a junior loaded baked potato, a junior chupacabra, and a small blueberry & cheesecake. I recommend to try those odd names and options, as for the chupacabra ended up being my savory favorite! Although they are known for their popcorn variety, they still had many other candy, chocolate, and brittle options; as well as traditional and specialty soda pop. The ambiance brought you back to a traditional old times candy shop, with many colors and flavors. Definitely a place to stop by if you have any sweet tooth cravings! read more

Every time I stop into this place I find what I'm looking for. From their many flavors of popcorn, all kinds of candy and their huge bottled drink section. Hard to find drinks, drink flavors, old time candy, etc. It is also good to always see them busy. And I like that they sincerely greet you when you enter. read more

This place is a Treat Palace! So many different varieties of snacks and candies. The shelves were well organized and stocked, so it was easy to view everything and what is currently available. They even had jar of candy for self serve and they bag gets weighed. They had classic candies, a Large variety of soda pop drinks, new candies, candies for other countries, funny candies, pop culture candies. JUST SO MUCH TO SEE! The main reason we came was for the popcorn!! This place does a large variety of flavors, from sweet & salty to sweet & savory and spicy and they Make It Fresh to order and have different sizes. They even have some flavors prepared/pre-bagged. I'm pretty sure I saw a case with Fudge in it & they offer the Bavarian nuts as well. everything was decently priced and the popcorn and candy I did purchase. Everyone in the house loved. I wish there was on closer to me. But at least I have another reason to visit Texas again! read more

Yikes! Sorry guys, updating the review! Popcorn here is great, and we have went to this place MANY times. Unfortunately, we noticed this last time, that they charge over $1 for a "credit card convenience fee". Hate to say this, but in 2020, credit cards are no longer a convenience. Taking back a couple of stars because this should be advertised, or, patrons should be made aware of this charge. Not sure how long this has been going on, but that fee racks up over time! If you want to avoid a needless fee, you might want to consider cash or even somewhere else. This has made us want to consider another popcorn place in Gruene for our future popcorn cravings. read more

As a young man, my mother used to bribe me with shark gummies to behave at school. I didn't think I would find a gummy shark as delicious ever again as the ones I ate on those Friday afternoons when I finally earned them. Now, if I want a tasty gummy treat I go here. The popcorn is amazing! Try the gummy turtles, they taste like liquid cake! Service staff is friendly and they have a great selection of chocolates and soda! The best candy shop around! read more

This review is from a 40 year old grown man with a family of 4 in Atlanta, GA. This popcorn is hands down the best popcorn I've ever had in my life. It literally melts in your mouth with the most robust flavors to ever hit your gullet. If you don't eat this popcorn over others, you need to seriously rethink your life. I've actually lost weight and my complexion has cleared up because of this popcorn. I look down on people eating Orville Redenbacher's. I LOVE IT SO MUCH (so does my Doodle!)!!!! read more

Yesterday I was Blessed to run into the Co-Owner of Popcorn Piccadilly and decided to visit their establishment which is located conveniently near the Forum shopping complex. The owner and I chatted briefly and during our conversation I learned that perhaps one of the BEST Popcorn/Candy establishments had arrived into San Antonio. A fellow military member and popcorn connoisseur, my new friend had the little girl inside me dancing as I daydreamed about the free samples of pop corn flavors he was describing. Popcorn Piccadilly is located right next to Pasha Mediterranean Grill and is easily accessible off of 1604. As I approached the door, the aroma of the Sweet.. Ambrosia-like popcorn filled my nostrils. Stepping inside, the décor and aromas of PP transported me to my youth in Charleston, SC. The smells took me back to the Coastal Carolina Fair as Daddy and I would walk hand in hand and I'd have a bag of sweet Popcorn in the other. The walls were decorated shelves full of vintage soda bottles that would have any soda connoisseur ordering by the cart load. The numerous flavors had my eyes skimming from bottle to bottle and the only issue I had was which one to choose. (I purchased peaches and Cream ) You could tell by the assortment and the arrangement, that the owners knew a thing or two about soda. The other side of the store also caught my attention as the other shelves displayed rows of candy, taffy, pop rocks and candy that I haven't seen in decades or even knew was still being manufactured. Mrs. PP greeted warmly and answered all my questions about the Popcorn world as I took my time taking pictures for the Yelp Community. The staff was popcorn knowledgeable (top notch) and again (The aroma... That intoxicating Aroma...) As I continued my stroll, I made my way to the counter and was provided free samples of fudge (Over the Moon good), Banana flavored popcorn (which was just hot off the press), kettle corn and some Double Stuffed Oreo flavored popcorn. Each bite was flavorful and I just couldn't wrap my head around how they came up with those amazing flavors. While this is just a small list, the sweet young woman I spoke with informed me that a ton of flavors were in the works. But I spied several flavors on my bucket list to include Pizza, BBQ cheesy ranch, Coconut, Caramel Cashew, Pumpkin Spice, Confettii, Monkey Farts (lol), and several more. I ordered a mini cheesecake, mini banana and a mini kettle and with a drink my order came to roughly $11. What I find humorous are the other reviews belly aching over the price and I know that these same people probably pay the 90% mark up for the stale and greasy popcorn at the movie theater. This product is priced at several different price points for all types of occasions... and in my humble opinion is a great value for the Price and if you don't want it, don't purchase it! I would hope that theaters around the world would carry this popcorn and was in love from the moment I entered. Also of note, I learned that this Christian based company supports our military, has seasonal specials and the pictures posted I hope give you a reason to visit. Please take the time to stop by and meet the amazing staff and I'm sure you will not be disappointed! Ms. Foodie! read more

I bought five different flavors. The dill was good. The Dallas was 1/4 caramel and the rest regular popcorn, so that was not a good buy. The chocolate drizzled was good. The buttery was good. I should not have bought the basic pc considering the Dallas was heavy on regular popcorn. My Granddaughter liked the confetti. The man (owner?) managing was extremely curt and quickly told the customer before me he could only sample two flavors. When it was my turn he acted like he didn't like his job. Again, I hope he wasn't the owner. I love popcorn, but won't shop here again. First impressions are important. I do not like to leave negative reviews, so I'll end it with: The popcorn was good. Especially the dill. read more

We love this place! The staff is very friendly and we find the prices reasonable given it is quality artisan popcorn. I wish we could get over more often. We especially like to support Veteran owned local businesses. As for the comment about a $1 fee for credit cards, all businesses who accept credit cards pay a transaction fee to the card issuer. It's not really a convenience fee, it's a cost of doing business fee since the business gets paid no matter what and the card issuer assumes the risk that the debtor may default. You're paying it anywhere you're using a card, whether you see the fee or not on the invoice. Most businesses roll it into the variable cost of the product. One dollar may not even cover the actual fee depending on the amount of purchase. My HOA charges $2 if I use my card with them and Guadalupe County offices charge $3 fee for credit card processing. I just dealt with the Texas Secretary of State Office and even they charge a fee for credit card processing. read more

Love their popcorn!! Workers are super sweet and will let you try the popcorn to see which you like better. Love it here.

The popcorn is good. Although they have a lot of flavors, I have only tried the basic ones such as the butter, cheddar, Carmel, and kettle. They also offer an abundance of candy and other sugary treats. The only reason why I gave this place 4 stars instead of 5 is because of the prices. Although it is freshly made in house, I believe that $17.00 for a regular bag, $27 for a medium, and $30+ for a large is quite expensive. read more

They have a beautiful selection of candy, sodas, and also have Slurpee's but the real highlight is the popcorn. Pretty much any flavor you can think of but if I have to recommend one, it would be the scorpion barbecue. It's perfect in every way. read more

I can't believe what I experienced today, very bad service, I bought a chocolate, and two pop rocks that came out to a total of $5.60, I paid in cash and handed the lady a 5 dollar bill and a 1 dollar bill, the thing that bothered me the most is that she kept checking multiple times if the $1 dollar bill was real. Never in my life have I ever experienced this I asked her if there was a problem and told her that the dollar bill was given to me by the business next door and she ignored me and kept checking it. I am a brown Hispanic individual that has been to this candy store multiple times, I will be taking my money elsewhere for what I experienced today which felt like racism. read more

Trying to come up with a Covid friendly Christmas gift for my dad was a challenge. My parents have been self quarantined almost a year now. In comes Popcorn Piccadilly! Employees were constantly over my back as a I was trying to fill my bag with candy. It got to the point that I just gave up and left . Not worth the hassle the give you to come in here. I understand the COVID precautions were in place which is not the problem. The issue is you only offer 1 glove and an unreasonable set of instructions for the customer to go through the process of filling their candy bag. This means you are asking for the customer to open the lid, serve themselves and hold thier bag all with one hand. It's doesn't make sense. The better solution is too offer two gloves, one for each hand or have your employees assist the customer in filling their bag Rather than the employee "gently reminding". read more

This is the coolest spot I have ever seen when it comes to this genre of snacks. It will literally brighten your day walking into this store because of the colors and ambiance.
